The People are great, the place is not. There's never any moving carts. I think the entire facility only has two, one of which has a flat tire. So, you arrive there, unload your furniture, look around and no carts, so now you must hand-carry all your stuff through what seems like miles of a hallway maze and it's hotter than heck in there, your sweating buckets, and to top it off you throw your back out for a week. As you lay there, you pray that someone doesn't break-in through the paper-thin walls; as you've seen dozens of sad "patch jobs" in that hallway. Also, better hope that your neighbor does have months or spill something, cause it can easily come into your spot, ruining your family heirlooms forever. I thought public storage was better than this dump site. read more

A WARNING TO CUSTOMERS I rented a unit here to store equipment because I twice had to evacuate my home due to fires last year. I purchased from Public Storage the special lock they recommend for the door. Later I found the unit broken into, ransacked, and my equipment stolen. The lock was still intact! The police arrived and showed me how a crowbar had been used to bend the door latch pieces, enabling the door to be opened, then bent back to make it seem undisturbed. This is a known defect, yet Public Storage does nothing to remedy the problem. BEWARE: THESE UNITS ARE NOT SECURE BY DESIGN. To add insult to injury, Public Storage charged me rent for the entire month of December because I emptied out the unit on December 1. These people don't deserve your patronage. They misrepresent the security of their storage units and take advantage of you to squeeze more money out of your wallet. read more

The employees at the public storage in tujunga have always been accommodating and helpful. Specifically, Rafael and Eli. No problems with the unit, which is air conditioned and fairly clean. Only knock was the rent increase which I was subject to after a few months of renting. They have competitive rates and all renters may be subject to a rent increase out of the blue. read more

I'm astonished at the quality of service provided at this Public Storage. I met a few of the staff members throughout the months and they're all so genuine and kind. Shout out to Brenda for 5 star customer service! She got me into my storage unit super last minute before closing. She also made magic happen when I checked out on the first- manager only charged me a prorated fee for the day since my stuff was out by 8pm the night before. Giving the Public Storage in Tujunga a GENEROUS 2 star review. Upon reservation and arrival I spoke to Debra who was nothing but sweet and helpful. It made me very optimistic about out future with them. However, little did I know, this would be the storage of hell. Not only is the other woman that works there a total bitch to put in bluntly, but the guy who works there is completely over the top. For example. Our 1st month- we pull into the gate's at 842pm. We WERE able to put our code in and get in. Then we drive to our unit (we had our 2 cats with us, bc we walk them at the park) Before we can even close our doors a car comes flying around the loop and high beems us. Next thing you know, the younger woman who works there is yelling saying we can't be there, they're closed... (843pm btw, they close at 9) We had to grab one item from storage, that's it. We would have been out before 9... But she continued to tell us in the nasalliest bitchy voice ever " oh and no pets allowed on the property, you'll give me allergies!!!" then made us leave and followed us out. (my cats were in my car, not walking around the property, the windows were barely cracked and they werent getting out) Second month- we were late for our payment. (Now, if I get any shit for this its going to consist of them saying I'm always late on my payment. Which, I am. And the reason why is simply because I can't physically make the payment till the end of the month. I DID call, and tell them this, and I even asked them if I could change my due date to the end of the month to fix the problem. In which they told me there was nothing they can do because their due date is the first of the month and they can't change that.... Which, is stupid as all hell.) Anywho, I'm late. I can't get into the gate, I go in the office to pay by bill. The guy is working this time. I tell him I need to make a payment because I can't get into the gate. He starts out right laughing in my face and says yeah that's because your late on your payment....... No, really?!?! The conversation continued down this path, and with every ounce I had in me to hold back from saying what I really wanted to, I did and walked away.. The service, hospitality, and kindness of this public storage is by far the WORST I have ever seen and experienced. It gets one star for having the shittiest hospitality ever, and serving a general purpose, and Debra gets a star because aparently she's the only sane one. read more
