My unit was broken into twice. Seemed like an inside job.The people behind the counter are usually unhelpful

My move date was changed from Tues 3/24 to Sunday 3/22, due the availability of the movers. I realized this at 12:35pm on Sun 3/22/26. In a panic, I called the 30961 Agoura Rd, Westlake Village office. She said I had to show up in person to change the date and that she was leaving in 20 min. I live 1 hr away. She said I could go to any Public Storage facility with an open office. I went to the Public Storage at 6467 Foothill Blvd, Tujunga, CA 92042. I was super stressed out and panicked, and explained my situation to RAFAEL, WHO WAS SOOOO WONDERFUL. He calmly smiled, and reassured me that the move-in date could be adjusted. Within minutes, my potentially disastrous situation was resolved. I really appreciate how RAFAEL very efficiently (a few minutes !) solved my dilemma with such a CALM, REASSURING, AND PROFESSIONAL manner! read more

I rented a storage from this facility This young lady Jennifer Hernandez help me I have to said she bring costumer service to an other level for a storage costumer service help me by phone and in person I got stuck at the gate after 9pm and she came out and give instruction how the get out she understood what I need and find the perfect unit for me read more

Worst business and management. I moved to this public storage in 2020. No big issues. Recently, i wanted to move out to another storage place. Cheaper and closer to my office. We coordinated with the management at publicstorage because our movers had time to move on the 4th. We spoke to the manager to arrange it as i didnt want to pay both places. The manager said it was no issues since it was only 4 into the month and she said we wouldn't get charged. Well the day of our move everything changed. After we had loaded our last box a guy showed up and said we had to pay the whole month. He sent an invoice the same day. We tried to speak to them about prorating the 4 days and he said they dont do that anymore. We called corporate, they said deal with the management. We paid the month as they harassed us for payment. I am writing this to warn anyone trying to use these place, be careful, we and our companies have moved out and we will never deal with such an unprofessional group of thief's. I hope this helps someone make a better choice. You have been warned. read more

Zero stars This place is the slum of storage facilities Elevators are sketchy WHEN they are working Not a level surface to be found on the property Every surface is grimy and dingy making you wish you brought hand sanitizer Lighting is terrible Rolling carts are never accounted for and none have reliable wheels so if you need to move heavy stuff bring your own Corridors and doorways are so narrow it can be impossible to clear larger items. I have recently moved my storage unit to US Storage down the road and it is like night and day Plus the prices are better at US Storage. I will never use this place again read more

Accommodating and supportive! They really took care of our needs. Front desk Jenny was super helpful!

Here are some things to consider about Public Storage. No matter how much stuff you may have, they only have TWO carts and you only get to use ONE of them. The carts are ONLY available during office hours. They are often chained down so that you have to go to the office to get one. At Extra Space Storage (more expensive; that's why we moved out), there are FOUR carts available during gate hours, 7 days a week, on a first come, first serve basis. At Extra Space Storage, they talk to you like you're an adult. At Public Storage, they are seem so terrified of losing their position that they terrorize the renters. ALSO--Public Storage units are not air conditioned, nor are they lit, at least not in this neighborhood of Sunland-Tujunga/La Crescenta. Only the hallways are lit. At Extra Space Storage, they may have lousy elevators, but the building is air conditioned and the indoor units are very well lit. At Public Storage, Jennifer was very nice when we moved in but later turned into a monster. A man we met who was moving into the storage place we moved out of also had a bad experience with her, but we didn't find out for ourselves until later. Whenever there was a problem, it wasn't just what she said but the condescending attitude and shocking choice of words. The last straw was when we were just about to unload our last bit of stuff at Public Storage. We had just gotten there when she went off on us. I then decided I'd had enough, got on my phone, and found another place for our things. We moved in and out in the same month. read more

BEWARE when you first call ! That Person has a different mindset/interpretation of your Language. You want one thing, and they set you up differently ! They seem to please you, so you allow them to set up your account. They say "all done, you will get confirmation eMail/Text. Good bye". You look it up, and find that you are already billed for a future plan. - We wanted pricing for storage, Starting two months from now. She gave us pricing, then told us "you will start getting billed, when you enter the facility the First time". Oh, OK, that sounds flexible. Within HOURS, we were already charged a Month's rental fee, plus facility fees. - So, we complained. Facility manager can't help, have to call Customer Service. They started to help, but Admin Manager was to complete this transaction... good Luck ! Then Got an A.I. caller who would NOT stop talking nor reacting to us shouting "STOP!! LISTEN!!". IT "says" we "Signed the Contract!". This was a VERBAL chat. Have not opened the eMail yet, so NO completion of a "contract". So, we are charged two months Ahead, and counting.... So - BEWARE !! read more

I highly recommend. Corrine is a dream and efficient in assisting with whatever is needed to stowe away your valuable items. I just rented this unit about three days ago and haven't even got a chance to see my storage unit yet I was moving some items from my grandfather's RV because the city just put a 77-year-old veteran out on the streets and impounded his RV so I was helping him with transporting his stuff out of his RV to storage unit and I had lost track of time and unfortunately by the time I got there and unloaded everything off the truck and got to the elevator I realized it was already 9 o'clock so we had to reload everything back on to the car and drove the car out of the facility and parked my car in the front and began to take the remainder items that I had on the dollies off the dolly and back into my car before returning the dolly back onto the property. The property manager came out and told us that we are not to be here after hours, so we said we're sorry we just barely got the storage unit today and didn't realize what time it was and Happily left the property a few days later we show up again with a car full of my grandfather's property to drop off in my storage and our gate code wasnt working when we read the key pad it said the facility was closed but it was only 8:15-8:20pm and the hours on the gate say from 6-9pm so im confused. We call to the 800 number and they say the manager won't activate our code until we talk to her mind you we show up before 830 and our code doesn't work. No Manager in the office no manager answering the phone no Manager on site, so what are we supposed to do with all the stuff in the car? Instead of the property manager, reaching out to the person renting the property, she reached out to the operator to tell the operator why she refuses to communicate with the renters that rented her property out she had no problems sending us a reminder of the hours of operation sending me when I need to drop off some more stuff. She wants to lock us out and make it hard for us to even be able to communicate with her about the situation, now I'm stuck with a car full of stuff. I risk my car being broken into because people seeing a car full of stuff. It's just so messed up and disrespectful. Already paid for my storage unit and I can't even access it. I've had it for three days and haven't even seen it yet. I want a refund I refuse to deal with this property or the childish and unethical property manager as well. Please and thank u I don't need to be discriminated against based on me making a slight mistake with the hours of operation I'm just disgusted in this lady's choice in behavior and I felt a review was definitely in order and again I would appreciate a refund immediately please and thank you..... read more

I never write reviews, but their service was horrible. One of the female workers is the rudest person. I have had serveral instances of her speaking with me rudely and had to call her boss to report her behavior. I GOT ROBBED - yeah...my storage got broken into and there was no video surveilence on vehicles entering so the police couldn't catch the culprit, their video surveilence only serves them not us, the public they serve. One unit I rented wasn't the size they said it was, off by a full square foot and was 5x4 not 5x5 and when I reported it the rude service lady just gave me some BS about it being approximate sizing and the height of the unit counts too...total bs. They have 5x4 units too for a different rate... total liars and scammers and only cover their own butts. Also they say it's one price online and once you get to the unit they charge you for a whole bunch of other things, no big deal...but dang, put all the charges up front otherwise your scamming people. Just a terrible terrible place, the walls were crumbling and there was a leak in my unit with pooling water. Total CRAP. DO NOT RENT HERE read more

On November 30th, Jennifer the Property Manager kept surveilling my wife and I while we were inside our storage unit. I asked her if everything was ok, she said "yes," but called me a Nigger as she walked away. After renting for 10 years, I immediately decided to cease doing business with Public Storage. I found December 31st to be the earliest possible date. I went to retrieve my property on December 28th. We loaded all of our belongings onto our moving truck, except for our tv that couldn't fit on the cart. The time was 8:50. My son held a door open for us to get the tv, and to shut the gate on our unit. I looked at my watch and it read 8:55pm. The Manager told my son to close the door. He did so immediately. I called customer service and left Jennifer a voicemail informing her that we couldn't get our tv or shut the unit. On today, I went to retrieve the tv. I was met by Jennifer. She escorted my son and I into the unit. She fully inspected it and said she'd print and email a receipt with a zero balance. However, the email read "there's nothing else due at this time." The receipt stated, "Please note your account is subject to additional fees that may be applied upon full inspection of your space vacated on 12/29/2022." Since she fully inspected the unit, I requested a receipt which indicated it. She refused to provide me with one. In the presence of my son, she accused me of requesting this receipt in order to "perform a chargeback with my credit card company." I told her I was offended. She had previously called me a Nigger, now she was insinuating that I was a liar and thief. She went on to accuse my wife, son, and two daughters of trespassing since we left the premises at approximately 5 minutes after closing. Meanwhile there were other customers still on the property who weren't black. This was an emotionally traumatic experience for me. I am a Pastor, my wife a Army Veteran, and our children are pre-law, pre-med, and computer engineering students. read more

Jennifer is amazing ...public storage went up $60 on my rent just because ....same unit same building same property but the manager at that location ....she is amazing read more

Public Storage is a scam. We signed up under a promotion that reduced rent by 50% -- our monthly rent was to be $32 for a tiny closet unit. At the time we signed up the guy told us "this is a great rate" and told me "Yes" when I asked if the rate was locked in and would never change. Oh, but it changed. In two years the rate has increased over 60%. We're paying $53 for the same space, same services, same everything. When I called this location I was told "rates are set by corporate" and to contact the corporate office who were, by far, the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered. I was told the representative couldn't lower my rate. When I asked to speak to someone who could she told me no one can lower my rate and there was nothing she could do for me. We're moving out. I'd rather have this stuff back in my house than deal support a business like this. I have no complaints about this particular facility except for the LUDICROUS rate increase. It's basically a bait and switch. Buyer beware. read more

I signed for a unit through an online promotion and when I arrived on site they gave me a great unit location. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I once incorrectly closed my unit so when I left the lock wasn't secure. This location is a joke! Our unit has been broken into twice in the last four months. Reported it to the office and they told us someone else renting a unit there has been doing this for a while and that they have an "ongoing investigation" happening. I'm beyond frustrated and fed up with Public Storage. The officer who helped us file the police report showed us how they pry the metal where the lock goes open. They don't even have to cut the lock. read more

After renting at this storage facility since 2008 I just had the most negative interaction here that I could imagine and I don't know why . I made a reservation and I came into the office and the manager there Jennifer whom I've known for at least four years was in the office and she was so rude to me I can't really comprehend what went on . She told me that my reservation was for 3 days ago which I explained to her was incorrect the reservation was for yesterday I called last night and changed the reservation for today and she continued to insist that that was not correct . I told her it was okay I'd go ahead and I'd take the unit at the higher price it wasn't any big deal but apparently she kept telling me she was very busy because she had two other people coming in with reservations, I guess she didn't feel my money was green enough or that I was a customer . Maybe she got too comfortable with me after taking a lot of property that I gave her for her children and her family in Mexico I'm not sure but it wasn't professional I can let you know that for nothing . I also explained to her that I did have a reservation and I'm not sure what happened but it wasn't my fault that obviously someone at Public Storage on the phone dropped the ball . All I wanted to do was rent my storage shed and go upstairs and do my work and sort my property because I have two other 8x10 units here and my mom is also a customer here and as I stated we've been customers here for almost 15 years and never had a problem here at all in fact if you look at my review from 4 years ago I gave this place a five-star review and I said that Jennifer and Rafael were the best staff ever well I'd have to take that back after today especially when Jennifer started laughing in my face and I didn't get the joke at all and I didn't get the shed either . I had to go out to my car call the public storage line set up an e-rental and file a complaint . I hope that in the future I don't have any more negative interactions because I'm just here to store my property I'm not here to have any type of a negative interaction I feel that I'm a very positive and very nice person I try to be polite to everyone and Jennifer was completely in my opinion rude she wouldn't listen to anything I was saying and even though I was agreeing to pay extra I didn't have any problem with that all I wanted to do was rent a shed ask the interaction started to become more and more negative I told her I would go ahead and leave and I would call on the phone and do it and she told me no you listen to me ? I told her no I'm sorry you're not listening to me and so I don't see any reason to listen to you I'm going to end this negative interaction and I'm going to go outside and I'm going to call on the phone and I can't even explain what went on here it was so unprofessional so I'm not sure if Jennifer was having a bad day or what the deal was but I hope from now on I won't be having any problems . So watch out for the staff when they're apparently in a bad mood they might just take it out on you God bless you all I'm not impressed . read more

A few things about PS. First, the reservation system is a joke. It will hold the rate, but not a space. My experience was I was shown two spaces and was told I could reserve one online, set up my account and come in two days later when I wanted the term to begin. Fifteen minutes late, I completed the online reservation, but oddly, couldn't set up my account. The instructions indicated that I would need to return to PS on the day my reservation began with ID and payment. Within an hour my phone rings, it is the manager telling me if I wanted a space that I needed to come down with ID and payment, as she could not guarantee my reservation. So what is the point of making a reservation??? So back I went. After submitting a final draft of agreement and my ID, she said you need a lock, here is ours for 19.00. I said I had a lock, but no mention was made of needing it then. I was yold I need to bring one before she removed hers. Then, I was told that I had to purchase insurance according to company policy. She gave me a flyer with a rate and no other real information. I replied that I neede to check out this company and their policies prior to purchase. The bottom line is, you don't need to purchase their insurance. So back I came with a lock, they wouldn't start the term in two days as I requested on my reservation. So rent was prorated for two days, not a big deal, but even after confirming the reservation they would not guarantee availability in two days, so I paid it. Just be aware of the nebulous policies of this joint! read more

Really annoying. They were amazingly efficient taking my money but when I got there with my furniture, the office was locked and there was no one there even though it was during posted business hours. There were no carts available for me to move things with and when I called the number I was given for the manager, I got a voice message machine and never a call back. A sign on the office door said someone would be back at 12:30. I left at 1:30 and no one had returned yet.. I will get through the month I paid for and go somewhere else just on General principle. Don't waste your time with this place read more
