I'm not a huge writer of reviews, but I've had so many good experiences with Jequetta who works in the office there that I felt that she really deserved a big shoutout. I moved in with my partner a couple of months ago and only realized that the building closes at 6pm until after I had already confirmed a pick-up time for my movers. The timing I had scheduled would have put us at storage unit after hours. I explained the situation to Jequetta and she graciously and quickly said that she was happy to stay at the office just a little bit later to make sure we got my stuff moved in. Then, when the day came, she even helped us move things back into our unit to help make sure the job got done quickly. Since then, Jequetta has also always gone out of her way to help me and my partner with whatever we needed. I've rarely had customer service like this anywhere and I'm so, so thankful for all of her help. read more

Patrick did a great job explaining the different options to help me find a storage solution thaT works best for me!

I just flew in from Dallas, TX to check on one of my packages that UPS notified me was damaged. Anthony provided Superior Customer Service and helped me navigate to inspect my property. As well, my Seattle team has been very pleased with the overall team at the Alaskan Way site. Best regards read more

I have been using Public Storage for the past year and recently moved to a larger unit. I have to say the management and team is amazing! Patrick is unbelievably helpful. He got me setup with my new unit quickly and is very efficient. I also like how they always have moving products fully stocked. Where else can you get a wardrobe box in the city?...well, Public Storage. Patrick thanks for making the transition to the larger unit an easy one. I highly recommend this location. Oh! It's super clean, too! read more

This company is not very user friendly! Their website is worse. You CANNOT talk to a live person.

It works, but is over-priced for what it is. Old building that is dirty & falling apart (plaster dust on 90% of stored items, roaches, etc) and the elevator barely works most times. Smells of urine in the basement and does not feel safe most times. Hours are very inconvenient but that is due to the junkies/homeless I am sure...sucks for me because of the hours I work. Definitely recommend looking elsewhere. Updated to add that the customer service is 110% and the aforementioned issues seem to be the company's problem to solve. read more

Patrick is the greatest. No what the issue I am sure he will know what to do to remedy the situation.

Zack was great and friendly. Easy process to get my storage unit. I was able to sign up online and he got my unit taken care of right away

10020 Martin Luther King Jr Way S, Seattle, WA 98178 Given the covid-19 pandemic people across the world are struggling which has caused my brother to move out of his storage that he has had for over a year. It is a struggle to get people to help move normally but now it is impossible so he was not able to completely move all belonging out until the 2nd of April and now we are being charged $200.00 for a whole month. I have no problem paying a prorated amount I understand business but I also understand that the current state of the world has people doing things they would not ordinarily do like take everything out of storage and sell or clutter up the house. That was the reason we got the storage and kept it this long. This is just an attempt to see if we can come to some sort of prorated for the time used. I believe in creating a win win situation that everyone can walk away feeling ok and not feeling taken advantage of at the end of the day. read more

I sell at Pike Place Market and keep my inventor at this Public Storage and have for 7 months now. I come in and out 2-4 days a week two times each day I'm selling at Pike Place. I have never felt safe there due to the large amount of homeless people that make their units their home bass/home. It smells like pee around the main entrance and I have walked by used condoms for days before the staffed cleaned them up. Today I was leaving my unit on the 4th and got in to an elevator with a cross dresser. She must have been having a bad day and want to take it out on someone. She had a large suite case and didn't want to make room for me and my stuff I forced myself in the elevator and bumped her stuff with my stuff. This pissed her off and she started yelling at me as the doors closed behind use. Thing elevated in her had and she pulled out a taser on me and threatened me with it and made it spark twice. I'm pregnant and I keep yelling at her I was pregnant and she didn't care. I called 911. I found out from a PS employee and the police officer that this was not her first run in with another tenant. They can't just kick her out it can take a long time so there is a chance I could run in her again. On my floor alone I know of four people that live out of their until. Last night my floor smelled like puke. I'm forced to keep this as my storage but thought I would share my experience. I wish this was not a true story but it is!! read more

Such a chill spot, everybody who works there is awesome Anthony always remembers my name when i walk through and is always so helpful.

This storage biz is the best! Jay was incredibly helpful to me during a stressful move and that made all the difference for my sanity and my pocket book. I am all about customer service -- without it I take my business elsewhere. That fact that I've used this company for 4 years is a testimony to stellar service. read more

The cleanliness and service I have been given here is second to none. The facility is easy to access but I have never witnessed the aforementioned in other reviews problems. The staff is very nice, and have been extremely helpful. If you are looking for a clean, convenient to downtown place to store your stuff, this is it! read more

Chad is awesome and was super helpful when I moved in and paid for my reservation.

We have been loyal customers at this Public Storage location for 2+ years. The staff is always courteous and helpful. They have always provided their assistance whenever required. The facility is clean and located conveniently downtown. Jay is always there to greet us with a friendly smile! read more

A lot of the homeless population that hangs out near the waterfront piers seem to use this location as a place to store their belongings. This wouldn't be a big concern except for the fact that I have witnessed two different people living out of their storage units. read more

I don't say this often, but the customer service here is truly excellent. No matter what the circumstance, Anthony goes above and beyond. Comparing my (many) experiences with other storage options in the past, the unmatched personalized customer service at this location makes all the difference. Do yourself a favor and go with this place. read more

I needed a place to store my daughter's things for ten days, due to a problem with her new apartment. The Public Storage staff at the downtown facility were really helpful, even steering me to a bigger unit that worked better and cost less! They made sure I knew how to use the access codes, gave me parking tips, etc. Two days later, I got a follow up call asking if everything had worked out OK, since I'd moved things in after hours, and reminding me of the rental details, so as to avoid an additional charge if the estimated storage time proved too short. Great place, great staff, great service! I defintely recommend them and will use them again if I ahve storage needs. read more

Service is great far better then any public storage I've rented from to date. The gentleman's at the front desk was very helpful and looks out for number one instead of giving me the large unit I asked for he politely asked how much more property I was bringing in I told him he found me a smaller unit with a much better price. This public storage saved me money! You don't find that kind of customer service anymore .. I highly recommend this storage facility to anyone read more

I've had a unit here since last January and if you're looking for a clean, secure and small-business friendly storage place this is your spot! The office staff is usually there for help with any issues and always been super reliable and speedy about responding and fixing the issue. They've really gone out of their way for me a few times now! The best part about them is their extra perks for those of you starting out owning businesses who are short on all the extra time usually needed to complete errands or tasks during normal business hours. I continue to recommend thi place to all my family and friends! read more

Storage area is always accessible, never had any issue, really convenient for downtown.

I wanted to set up a storage for my one bedroom apartment fast and Jeremy helped me and made it super easy I was in and out with a new unit in 15 minutes. I would recommend it if you live downtown and need a close storage unit. read more

Chad is the very best!!!! Man, he made the whole process so easy. Great location, excellent service!

I just moved a few of my belongings into Public Storage, and it was an extremely quick, efficient check-in. The unit (10x20) wasn't as big as advertised, as there was a concrete column taking up a few square feet of space, but the price was right. The area has a lot of traffic and I can see it being a little sketchy, but the facility does seem well-supervised, so I'm not too worried. read more

Jay and Andrea so a great job. They keep it clean safe and friendly

I have been with these people for 4 years. Not only has it been a great experience but any time i have been a little late on rent they have called multiple to make sure i don't risk any chance of loosing my space. that's real personal concern and professionalism for their customers. Love these guys! read more

The facility is clean, the location is convenient to downtown, and the staff is courteous and helpful.

Can't say enough good things about the service at this location. Jay, in particular, is really great. He's knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. He takes the time to know his customers and refer to them by name. On three occasions now (upgrade unit, move some big stuff in/out, refund supplies) he's really gone out of his way to provide the help or assistance that I needed. It's easy and convenient to store your stuff at this facility. read more

We have been using this storage for about 10 years, transitioning from a very large unit to a medium size, and now to a small unit. Yes, downsizing can be a process. Throughout these changes, the management has been very helpful. Jay takes obvious pride in the customer service he provides. The location and accessibility are perfect for us. read more

Great place to store. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Jay keeps this place in ship shape order. I have returned many times over the years to this storage location and have recommended it to all who have inquired of me for a recommendation for storage. The only improvement I would make would be better accomodations for the disabled. read more

I wish the place was open 24/7 or at least more than 13.5 hours per day, but Public Storage does have good customer service. The surrounding areas have been cleaned up a lot within the past two days. It's either Jay and his managers read the reviews left here, and/or people that walk down the stairs on a daily basis to go to the waterfront are complaining because of the drug dealers, pill takers, and the homeless in the vicinity. I've never had a problem with these types of people, but they do have a presence perhaps because it is Downtown Seattle. Anyway, the $1 rent for the first month is misleading. Insurance and a deposit had to be made totaling about $100. To be fair, perhaps I misunderstand the situation regarding the charges there. Regardless, it is not straightforward. Regardless, I recommend this storage for more long-term than short-term because it's probably slightly cheaper than the Vine Street Storage. Also Public Storage has at least two other locations within the city. You could always move. If you are strict as to the conditions of the storage facility that your positions are stored in, go to another one due to the presence of the homeless and drug-heads. I'm not too picky, and it's close to my work so it makes it more convenient. read more
