    Rodent and dudu

    I rarely use storage for my furniture or other stuff but if you want to use Public storage, please do not. My storage area are filled with rodent dudu and mildew. The manager advised that I do not need to pay the bill because of of the rodent infestation. It turned out the biking department did not agree and they want me to pay for late fees and the actual bill if I do not they will auction the stuff. They are all incompetent and unsanitary facilities. No coordinate with each other. They will not accept anything even though each customer service gives incorrect information. They will not let you get your stuff and they not acknowledge they incompetence. I feel the public storage is not good place to put your belongings in. I gave them notice & within my move out week my next payment was due for the month which was paid up. I STILL had about 25 days left in the month when I moved out. I asked for a refund of those days since I moved out early but was refused! What kind of business doesn't refund you for a service you don't use anymore or don't need?! Never heard of this! That's almost $400 down the drain now! Money doesn't grow on trees!! Anyway I'll give them 2 stars for being a secure place to hold my things but it would have been 5 if I would have received a refund. If you rent a unit here make sure you move out on your exact move out date or as close to it as possible or you'll be out of money. SMH!

    Update to review:…read more Just got a rate increase in the mail, not even 6 months into my rental. I was paying $80/month, but the new rate is going up to $143/month (a 78% increase!). This is about the lowest form of bait & switch that I've come across. The good news is I only got the unit to clear up some clutter and not much in it, so easy to remove out. Bad news is that this tactic leaves people dead in the water if they have heavy or large items in there, and can't move easily. This is a preying tactic. I have some choice words regarding this practice (I've been in sales for 16+ years) but I know I would NEVER do this to a client. Shame on you, Extra Space Storage! You will no longer be getting my business after this insane rate increase. Original review: Online promotion drew me in, along with location. Sales associate was friendly and professional, although semi-cheesy with his sales tactics ("we've only got a few of these units left", "we have more reservations than units so don't delay" ... and my favorite, "you're in luck, we have one left and the sale ends today"). Signing forms and getting my gate code was super fast, and move in was easy. Loved they provided a map, and that the carts were where they should be. Unit was clean and easy to get into. My only complaint is that they should have an asterisk by any online promotion, mentioning that rental insurance is needed. I'm not a fan of bait & switch tactics. Decent experience, overall.

    I began using this public storage location back in 2013. I signed up online for a unit that I was…read moreinterested in and within an hour I received a friendly call this locations manager, Julia. She was very pleasant and thorough by giving me specific details about my online reservation while ending the call with hopes of seeing me on reservation day. Continuing with her wonderful pleasantries I arrived at the location and received the warmest welcome by the manager Julia. She was very nice, friendly and most helpful to me with a tour of the location along with showing me the unit I had requested. I couldn't resist her AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE which had me ready to sign my contract. I remained at Julias location for almost 2 yrs until I was ready to move into my next apartment again in 2015. Well due to some unfortunate health circumstances at my now former apartment complex, I had no other alternative to move out completely. As a result, I definitely was going to need a place to store my belongings. So without question I immediately thought of the kind and wonderful customer service I received from Julia. I went online to make a reservation back at Julia's location not sure if she was still there but going along with high hopes that she would be. So as I waited for the location manager to call me let's just say that I was so OVERJOYED to hear that friendly caring voice on the other end of the phone...yes it was Julia !! It's kinda of fun - month to month I get the pleasure of finding a new fault in the facilities. Last month, there was trash all over the building. As if multiple units had been ransacked .. . . by a blind person. This month, EVERY elevator being out????? Yessss let's have elevators not work for WEEKS in a building that's purpose is to store large items Everytime I go into this building I leave full of anger and regret - anger of how much negligence this place is getting away with, and regret knowing I'm pouring my money down the drain even supporting this business. Because of the poor management of this storage unit, I'm having to INVEST in movers - which will NOT be pleased to hear about the elevator situation either. I WILL BE SENDING "PUBLIC STORAGE" THE INVOICE!!!!!!!!!! I would be better storing my items in an abandon shed.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, and even went out of their way to find me a cart (on two different occasions). The move out process couldn't have been easier, and the parking/gate entry process was very simple as well. They also have a user-friendly app for reviewing your account, updating/making payments and this is also where you can find your personalized gate code. All in all, I highly recommend this CubeSmart location for any storage needs in the Dunwoody area.

I've been with nearly every other company and have never had the same level of problems. They have very vague collections practices in hopes that you forget your belongings so they can auction and collect insurance. When you call to make a payment they block your account on both the phone and website so that additional late fees accrue. After a certain date you must pay in person which is even further predatory because if you cannot come in they will insist and REFUSE payment also all payments must be in full so if you do not pay again... you're at risk of losing your belongings. I understand how public storage works but this is the first time in my entire life that I've been hit with a Lein and risk of losing my belongings for being 31 days late. After voicing my frustrations with a manager she encouraged me to not pay until the auction which again is predatory in them hoping I lose my valuables I am contacting a lawyer because there are terms in my contract and my history with this company that prove their tactics to be predatory .
