Do not move your stuff here. "Climate Control". It's going to be 80° in your unit. That's all they are required to provide. Also, your rent will be raised every four months until you leave. If you want real climate control you're going to need to go somewhere else. This is a nice enough property with no noticeable crime. But yeah it's not really climate control. Great service, synergy & prices. One of the most cleanest & organized storage units I've utilized. This is my third time utilizing Extra Storage Space & I'm never disappointed. All locations exude amazing customer service across the board. The fees are consistent with the sizes of the various units. It's also very helpful to have 24/7 access. I've been a customer of Extra Space for a long time now and I'm always impressed with the cleanliness of their facilities. I mean, they have bathrooms on the main floor and the entire place is air conditioned. Not like your old school storage facility where there may or may not have been a retired junkyard dog roaming from unit to unit. Also, to make matters even more rad, this place is locked down like the facility from freaking Goldeneye. You have to input a personalized password in the elevator just to access the underground lair of other units. So baller. Now they just need to utilize a retinal scanner and we'll all be secret agents as we access our locked-up valuables. The staff here were always super sweet to me, too. My stuff is secure. Sound as a Pound. This location is Super clean - high on a hill like a fortress - run by a very nice and organized staff. I love this location and I was willing to pay a bit more to get my storage outside of the city. I live downtown and recently moved into a condo where I had to combine a complete household with another person so lots had to go into storage. I didn't want my things stored in a super ghetto area - so I chose a nice suburban quiet spot. There is a truck (when it's running!) that is free for you to use upon move in which was very very convenient (and scary to drive if you've never driven a big truck!). I think I had to give a ($250?) cash deposit (maybe it was less - but it wasn't more than that) in order to take it off property and they literally hand the sealed envelope of cash right back to you when the truck returns unharmed (if you've ever rented a car that shouldn't be shocking to you). My unit is very clean - the facility is always quiet when I go - and the staff has been nothing but kind and accommodating. Word to the wise (especially for a first time storage renter like me) - things that will happen that you won't expect but are above board so don't flip out: Your rate will go up after a few months - then a year after that. You got a promo rate when you booked - and you may get a spike of about 10-25%. Expect it. You will need to get insurance on the things in your unit. There are different coverage amounts and all will cause a additional monthly fee of 10-100$ depending on your coverage amount. At the end of the day - these guys are not "bait and switch" as some users have said. You're an adult. You're renting a space. Promo rates expire. Insurance is a thing. Rental deposits are a thing. Welcome to real life - this won't be the last time those things occur. All in all regarding this particular location - pricey compared to downtown locations but worth it in my opinion! read more

I've only been here twice and I'm already so excited for this upgrade from the last orange storage place. I knew this used to be a kind of private storage company. Dunwoody Storage Space or something Iike that. Their website never showed any prices so I assumed they were high. I guess I see now (ftomb the first review) that they were way cheaper, ha. However, what I am paying here really is at least $12 less than the place I moved from on Roswell Rd. I'll update after I've paid a few months. I found this place again online after I realized it has been bought by Extra Space, and figured they'd have their rates posted. They do! They had a 5x10 available on the site. That's the same size I moved from so I knew my stuff would fit. I reserved it and then after a bunch if reminder calls because I kept forgetting to confirm my reservation, I called and said I still want it. I went in and got it done. The service here is very friendly. Gary gave me a tour and showed me where my unit would be. I clicked some initials on the computer they set up to share the contracts. Got my insurance and new combo lock. The reasons I like this place better include the fact that it's cleaner, a more updated building, code is in the elevators, not an outside gate and my individual unit is actually well lit and 5 deep rather than a narrow 10 deep. Last 2 details were baaad at the old place. I'm excited to be moving into this storage unit! read more

ANYONE WHO GOT A UNIT HERE WHEN IT WAS DUNWOODY SELF STORAGE READ BELOW! VERY IMPORTANT! YOU ARE PAYING TOO MUCH! This place used to be Dunwoody Self Storage and was recently acquired by ExtraSpace Storage. When is was acquired, I called to confirm about changes. They told me there will be no changes and everything will remain the same. I just went on the website to get the current phone number and found out my unit is listed for $32 less than I am currently paying! Mind you, I signed a MTM lease. This lease can be changed at they end of any month. The gentlemen on the phone just told me that I signed a lease with the prior owner, and they had no reason to call and tell me prices had gone down. This is just bad business! My belongings will be out of this unethical location this month. If you too signed a lease with the prior owner, you are overpaying! PLEASE BEWARE! Don't overpay another month! read more

The facility and people who work at the location are great. That is the only good thing about the place. I store my wine there and am a long term client. They raise their fees 15% EVERY YEAR. And this last month, they raised the fee from $64 to $90, when the exact same unit is advertised on the web for $50. What a bunch of scumbags! I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Super clean and well-kept, and not at all gross or sketchy. Jamison in the front office is efficient and helpful. The rates are great, just be aware that they require you to purchase insurance (which I didn't know, but an extra $11/month on top of the lowest storage rates in Atlanta isn't something I feel inclined to complain about). Would recommend! Also, the facility is very secure -- everyone has a unique ID code that grants them access only to their unit's floor. read more

The location and storage space is nice. Well lit with automatic lights. Elevator access. Free use of the moving truck is nice to have. A couple years ago I looked at this place when it was Dunwoody Self Storage but it was priced very high for a 5x5 and 5 x 10 unit. Now Extra Space Storage owns it. and runs frequent promotions offering substantial discounts. Signed up for a special rate for an odd-size unit. Here it is 5 months later and I just got a postcard in the mail informing me my rate will increase next month ($54 to $59 a month) and to reference the contract. . Now I am researching on line and many say to expect increases every 9 months hereafter. Never experienced a storage company raising rates so often. Seems this would outpace the street price for the same sized units at the same place. Just beware of the low rate to get you to move in and pay attention to how much they are charging you monthly. They initially pushed for me to use auto-drafts from my account but I opted to pay online each month. If I did the auto-drafts I think it would have taken a while to realize the increases if I overlooked the tiny postcard they sent. I will start looking for an alternative to this place now. I want a steady, predictable price that is agreed on for a period of time. read more

Do not rent here!!!! Facility is nice, clean, and well kept. The issue is they get you in and jack up the rates. I started December 2016 And have now gotten my second increase in less than a year for a total of 25% increase. I rented at a standard rate with no promotion at $115 they then increased to $128 4 months later. I now have another increase starting Jan 1 to $148. Run from these people!!! They get you in knowing it is I'll be a pain to change facilities. read more
