Terrible! I hired movers to deliver items to a storage unit I booked online at this location. They arrived, the unit was locked with a padlock and there was no one in the office at around 2pm. They waited for 30 minutes. They then had to leave and bring the items back to my home and I wasted over $200, plus the cost of the storage that Public Storage has not reimbursed, nor canceled. I have called numerous times and have left voicemail messages and the account is still being billed weeks later and with only the 1st call returned (they hit my voicemail) and no subsequent calls returned. This is terrible. In summation, they charged me for a already occupied unit, have not refunded my money nor canceled the continued billing, nor returned my calls. The next step is reporting fraud to my credit card and filing in small claims. read more

Worst moving experience ever! I reserved my unit and fully paid in advance 3 days before I moved in. I was emailed my storage unit number & access code to be able to "skip the line" as the email stated so that I didn't have to deal with the hassle of checking in at the office. I arrived to the storage unit at 7PM, once I got to my unit, it was locked! The office was closed so I had no choice but to call customer service. I waited 45 minutes to speak to someone (while I am standing outside of the storage unit with my movers WAITING) just to be told that 1. the storage unit being locked is an anomaly 2. there was no way for them to transfer me to a different location 3. in order for me to get moved in THAT DAY I had to purchase another unit at a self service location that didn't have my same size storage unit and the only one they had big enough to fit my items was 2x the price. I had to pay an extra day for my U-Haul, & movers & they couldn't do anything but credit my storage account $25. Will never use this company again! read more

Worst location for any biz ever. Besides the fact that it's literally JUST INSIDE the perimeter.... (JAY KAY)... There's only one way in and out. That may SOUND normal, but it's weird.. you can't really turn left out of the parking lot, unless you drive through the neighboring gas station, and you're probably not even supposed to do that. When you're getting ready to leave the PS lot, watch out for momos coming from the gas station. They're not going to see you, because who expects to have someone next to them making a right at the same time from essentially the same parking lot? (because they're only separated by a dip in the pavement.) Your right turn out of the parking lot puts you on the 285 overpass OR on 285 East. If you're okay with that, then whatever. 285 East is where I will end up needing to go more often than not, I'm sure, since I live in that direction. ANYWAY. I only just got my storage unit today, so you may think this is a little premature. However, the service was very good and fast. So that alone may push you to check out this place despite the location. Reserving the unit size and getting the first month for $1 is pretty convenient. However, by the time I left, my $1 first month turned into $53 after I bought a lock, paid first month's insurance, and I guess some processing fee or paper-using charge or something.. I don't know. (She did tell me, though. So on top of things.) 3 Stars. I'm not tryina get down on ya, PS. I just can't see being a "fan" yet. So far it's just a-okay for sure. Hoping to update this with good reviews in a few months.. BUT for now, it's worth checking out for the accessibility to the highways! read more

HIDDEN FEES! Don't believe the $1 for your first month gimmick. You have to pay for a lock ($17), an admin fee ($22), and are REQUIRED to have insurance -- since they say they are not liable for their own building -- every month (min. $11). So that $1 ended up being $51 plus tax -- and only some units are only $1 for the first month anyway. Additionally, as a previous reviewer mentioned, it's a real pain to get in/out of this parking lot -- so you have to be careful when you go, otherwise you could be talking about half an hour or more to turn right, in traffic, go across 285, find a way to back track, and get back over 285 if you're coming from south Roswell Rd. We also weren't crazy about the fact that one of the staff was sitting behind the counter, half asleep, and told us she couldn't help us because she was clocked out. Great. Also very strange about the service -- We were taken to a unit we had reserved and the staff member opened it. It was completely empty, totally fine. She looked at her chart and said "Oh...It has been recently vacated. We'll have to find you another unit." Wait -- What? It's empty! We'll take it! Nope...we had to get one on the other side of the building from the elevator for no apparent reason. This particular staff member was nice, but the situation was strange. Just a weird and unhappy experience from start to finish. read more

The prices for boxes (i can't speak about the storage areas), were much more reasonable than another public storage area prices in the area. They have boxes of all sizes, and I wish I had come here in the beginning of my moving process, instead of at the end, as they have "preexisting" moving kits, which would have greatly helped! Beware of their packing tape, however, as it is AWFUL-do not buy! I ended up having to go back out and buy tape at a local store b/c their generic stuff was pretty bad. They have "clearance" boxes of all shapes, which worked much better, than the ones I scammed from the local liquor store. read more

Wow! What an amazing experience! The manager is simply amazing! She is attentive, helpful, professional and will go out of her way to create a wonderful experience. She truly cares about each person who walks thru that door. The facility is very clean and well cared for I saw a few posts about "hidden fees." I was told up front about the $25 admin fee. Although, not told about the lock fee, I assumed I would be charged for a lock. Considering they waived the $176 rental fee amount for the first month, it was MORE than made up for with that regard. It is month to month. Yes, everyone needs insurance. If you already have homeowners or renters insurance, check with them. They most likely cover the property in storage, like mine does. If you need a rental facility, this is the place you want to go to. read more

I don't know how this place is rated so highly - it is a solid 1 star facility. I've been to a lot of PS facilities across the country, and this one is definitely the worst. 1st, my unit was in terrible shape. The door was loose and could be easily pried open - but PS would not give me another unit at the price that I had reserved, so I had no choice but to settle for this one. They never fixed the unit and I was renting there for over a year. Every public storage has terrible hours of access - I shouldn't be confined to such a small window when I can access my unit. Not only that, after I closed out my unit, they continued to charge me rent for months after the fact even though I called the facility and sent numerous communications to them saying that I had moved out of the unit. They never offered to fix the situation - only tried to extort me for more money. Then when I came to make sure the lock was gone and unit had been cleaned out properly (I had someone else clean out the unit since I don't live close by), they would not let me in the facility unless I paid for that month. A sneaky attempt to extort me for more money (didn't work). A word of advice - do yourself a favor, and don't rent storage from Public Storage. They honestly don't care and only want to take you for more money. I've had nothing but bad experiences with Public Storage over the years, and this one was the worst by far. CubeSmart, Extra Space, Pods and LifeStorage are all better options in this area - I've had great experiences with all of those, but nothing but bad Public Storage experiences. I've learned my lesson and will never rent from them again. read more

The onsite person was incredibly rude on the phone when I called to inquire about a 10% rate increase. I was told the district manager would contact me. That never happened. When I called the corporate office I was disconnected 4 times by sales trying to transfer me to customer service. When I finally got a hold of someone at corporate she said, 'Rate increases are non negotiable.' Interesting they getting to sign on the dotted line for a 'deal' and then once all your stuff is in there they jack the monthly rate up 10% with 2 weeks notice. I'm getting my stuff out before the end of the month. I will never use Public Storage again or recommend them to anyone. read more

I reserved a 10X10 on-line, entered the "Express Check-In" Info, and later booked a check-in reservation time. When I went to the property to finalize the deal, the rep showed me a unit which was 9X10 and had 5X5 of the space walled-out of the unit (leaving less than 3/4 of the space I would be paying for). I was told, "this is what you get if you sign-up on-line. The rep showed me another unit with a column taking up space that I would be paying for. I left without becoming a tenant. 'Went to Life Storage - so much better treatment (acted like they cared about my business) - And Life Storage matched the on-line price even though I was a walk-in. read more

I stopped in yesterday to acquire a storage unit as well some boxes for my move next week. Miss DJ assisted me through the process. She was very kind, patient, and helpful... Not only with me but also with the other two sets of customers she assisted while I was there. Tips to those familiar with the area... There is a way to take Glenridge to Roswell Rd. from 400 or 285 so that you can take a right into the lot as opposed to having to make a u turn or wrap around through the gas station and neighboring apartments. May be a little off course depending on where you're coming from but much easier to manage in a big truck. read more

She showed me a couple of units to see which sized worked best for my things and helped me find the right deal. So far I am satisfied with the unit and she was very helpful. sucks, ALWAYS FILTHY DIRTY; no security/cams after hours when office closed; one good flat dolly kept in the office and the ratty, falling apart so bad AND BENT you can't even drive it straight is what the customers get to use and its needs replacing since i have contracted a unit a year ago. the bathrooms are disgusting with no lighting ever, or tissue for that matter of fact. i have only dealt with 2 employees: male super weird and projected a public storage anal retentive personality. the female/mgr is polite and tries to help your situation but is really scamming sizes, rental costs, etc. I have a hard time giving my money to people who are not forthright. Only positive for me is it less than 1 mile from my home. Next storage rental need I'll go to a nicer facility. Yuck! read more

Imagine my disappointment when I show up to unload my car of heavy items on a Saturday morning and am told (by way of a greeting) "all the carts are gone". When I mention that I only saw two people unloading, I was told there are only two carts. So for a FIVE story climate controlled facility there are only TWO hand carts?! Massive fail public storage. Massive fail. I don't expect a lot but for more than $200/month I expect a handcart to be available. read more

This Public Storage location had everything I needed to help me make a successful transition from one city to another - it was clean, well lit, secure and convenient to the freeway.
