Pretty much tired of these bait and switch storage units. I've used Extra Space and Public Storage…read morethe past 3 years. Extra Space did a 60% price hike after 6 months, and Public Storage did a 30% price hike after a year. I had a 5x10 with Extra Space and then downgraded to a 5x5 with Public Storage. The only convenience there was temperature controlled units and gate access codes. Opted for a 5x10 with this location. Pricing was way less for a larger unit. The lady at the front desk was friendly and got it setup right away. My only complaint there was I thought I got 1st month free. The driving pathways to these units are not good. Yes, it is all outdoor storage but they need to fix the roads to the units. Very bumpy, holes in pavement and a lot of spots eroding. The storage unit was clean but could tell water has gotten into it near front. For $40/month (including my insurance), I guess I'm not going to complain too much. I was paying $150/month and $110/month at the other places I listed. I guess time will tell on how this location works but certainly A-Ok for now.

I agree that all tenants have rights, however, my rights to feel safe in an enclosed area matter as well. There are plenty of storage facilities in the area other than this one.

BUYER BEWARE: Pricing, Contract Terms, and Risk Concern = AVOID!…read more I went through Midgard's required online signup process and immediately ran into a major issue: I was asked to provide full personal information--including photo of driver's license and payment details - BEFORE allowed to review the contract. You can see the terms with AFTER deciding to move forward in the process. This practice is unethical, at best - especially when website design that way. The pricing structure also raised red flags. The advertised "Web Special" is a short-term intro rate. See Kathy H. Jul 9, 2024, review "I have been here 3 months and they have more than DOUBLED my rent." Also see Dennis D. May 1, 2025, review, "Billing is a mess. Quick to take money without asking. Customer service is rude and unreliable." There was also a disconnect between what I was told and what I read. Two employees indicated there could be a 12-month "no rate increase" option if I declined the web special. However, the contract I reviewed allows for increases within a shorter timeframe. The contract also places meaningful risk on the renter. It states the company is not responsible for certain types of damage, including water-related issues from other units. I came across reviews describing situations where renters experienced significant damage and had limited recourse under these terms. See John F, Apr 1, 2023 review (and video), "The storage facility had a roof leak..." due to *known* unrepaired maintenance issue. "Water caused $5K in damage... The worst part is that they want *MY* insurance to pay for THEIR damage... Stay away." Overall: Between the signup process, pricing scheme, customer reviews and very lop-sided contract terms in their favor, I recommend going elsewhere. IMPORTANT NOTE: Marybeth (Mary Beth?) was amazing and went ABOVE and BEYOND what anyone would reasonably expect. We came in asking for two storage units and I've made so many changes to the day with since we moved in. Andre is the lead manager and he has a very professional and well oriented team. With his decade of experience he brings both professionalism and empathy to the table. We definitely required a lit of both. He and his staff have gone above and beyond to accommodate our multiple changes and requests. I have researched 9 storage facilities for over three weeks and let me tell you I know what I am reviewing here. The units are impanel yes it is a new facility but they maintain it impeccably. Talk about service. They even had our units opened up before we even go to ur floor after the truck pulled in. I cannot say enough about them. Earl , Selena , and Lexi are just terrific. We are in our 50's so they also made it senior proof when it came to getting the documents taken care of. Andre definitely knows what he is doing the staff is very sweet. The bathroom facility is very clean and Andre runs a tights ship. Most importantly it's secure as Fort Knox. Cameras everywhere. The call button is very helpful at every elevator. No need to walk all the way to the off to ask a question. Why are you waiting? They had one poor review and that customer been helped and at unit herself. I signed up for a 10x15 with 1 free month on 3/14...however got there and needed a bigger unit and was told I could pay the remainder of march and get half off the next 3 months. I received my invoice for April and it was for the full amount. I received a call from there at the beginning of the week asking if everything went well and would I post a review. I said yes, accept my invoice was wrong. She said she would have Andre call me back. He did call that weekend but I was out of town and it was a normal voicemail...so I was going to be there the following weekend and would stop by the office. I do see him and informed him that they charged the full amount...he said because I did not call him back I could not get the promotion because it had to be done before April 1st...which was NOT mentioned at all in the voicemail. The overhead light in my unit has never worked. One time I went in on a Sunday and the exit gate was broken. I had to go in and talk to someone on the video screen to try and get it open and even they couldn't do it. I finally had to park my car on the wrong side of the entrance gate, go back in and talk to someone on the video screen and they had to keep the gate open for me long enough to drive out. Then today I get there and my bill is paid in full but they had cut my lock off and put a padlock on the unit. the cut lock was just left on the ground. I couldn't reach anyone on the phone (they never answer the phone) and I had to go into the lobby and talk to someone over the video screen and they said it must have been a mistake. They had to direct me to an empty unit to get a new lock and told me the combination to the lock on my unit just so I could put my own stuff away. This storage facility is terrible. I should never have rented here.

When I rented it, I called the 800# which the young man was extremely helpful and kind, but had us rent a 10x20 but found out that would be two small for our belongings. What he didn't tell me is the amount you rent for at the time you book is only good until one has to add more time. At that moment whatever the going rate is to re-rent is what you pay and for us it was a lot more per month. Now Rose, the manager told me to guesstimate a longer amount of time and if we leave before that time then we'd be refunded for the months unused which was very helpful. The entire staff has been kind & helpful. The location is great, never worries that our unit might be tampered with while renting. Easy access with our GMC 2500 truck. Nice roll carts to use. I might suggest you label where the bathrooms are in your facility as well as a sign on the outside of the elevators telling your renters that the office is accessible from each floor using the elevator. Rose looks out for you and is one of the few storage units that answer the phone --Location/Parking-- Plenty of space in the front office to park your car and plenty of space in the entrance of the storage unit to load and unload your items --Ambience-- Front office is setup nicely with modern desk that makes talking to the employees feel warm and inviting, but at the same time help you with your storage needs. On the wall on items that can help you with any type of move you need. --Service/Staff-- Rose has hands down gone above and beyond. After renting many storage units from many different cities. Rose is by far the best customer service experience. I plan to rent more upcoming units just because of her customer service. --Food/Products-- Storage units in the warehouse were clean and tidy. Pest controls along the wall were on point and security is top notch. --Capacity-- Plenty of space depending on the storage unit you are looking for. I recommend going bigger because the extra room can be used for a walkway or movement within your unit. --Overall-- I plan to be back to get an additional storage unit.
