It shot up to $224 (51%) from May to this April 2022 when it shot up another 33% to $300+. In effect in one year, it more than doubled: $148 to $300 = +$152 or 103%!!!! I have been a customer for more than 8 years and have had 2 Units at one point. The rates were reasonable, Management was very helpful. Location was great! Highway robbery you say? I think that this business is almost completely immune to inflation (brick and mortar) so why the ripoff. Demand & Supply? well OK - but don't rob us blind! Be extra careful - once you're in, and hooked, at an online rate, they'll raise your rates without notification, indiscriminately to whatever they see fit... I'm out of there... how about you?

Our unit, not even close to the offending unit, was first covered in feces as the animals roamed the whole building. Then, when Extra Space got it together and took drastic action there were/are dead rats all over the building. I need to mention that everything written so far was not learned from Extra Space notifying us of the problem and how they were going to solve. No, we received NOTHING from Extra Space. No email or phone call that there was a problem. No notification when they treated the building, what chemicals were used, cautions. Nothing. When we moved our belongings out of storage last fall 2023, we didn't know what to expect. As soon as we opened the unit one of my hired moving guys pointed into the unit and said, "there's a dead rat". This was the start of finding four more dead rats in and around our belongings. We trashed about a third of what was stored in the unit due to the extent the infestation had. This was just our unit! The others, many, have to be similarly affected and contaminated. I requested three months refund to help cover our loss. Nothing. To date Extra Space corporate has not communicated in any way. Their response throughout the entire time from discovery of the issue to eradication of the animals to treating their customers like, well, customers who pay for the services Extra Space offers is nonexistent. It's either incompetence, cowardice or both.

I spoke with the manager, Lonnie, about storing a dining room table until my son in Atlanta is able to use it. I did my online research, and the 7x10 monthly fee was $84 (see photo). When I inquired about the 7x10 the manager, Lonnie, quoted me $105 for a 3rd floor unit. After inquiring about a ground floor, Lonnie quoted the monthly rental was $120. I then told Lonnie that online it was listed at $84.00 a month and why the discrepancy? All I received from Lonnie was a song and dance, and a sense of Lonnie trying to inflate the fees and take advantage of customers. No thank you! I took my business elsewhere!

When you complain about excessive increases they give you a temporary concession and then jack rates up in a few months. I finally told them they were 3 times higher than same size storage nearby but they said it doesn't matter. So I moved to a competitor and now paying 1/3 rental rate. Scary turnover rate with store employees. Its almost impossible to get a 'live' office worker to answer the phone. Voice messages are never returned. Rental fees increase too often, and at overly high rates. One office worker per day is a big part of problems there.

The property is secure and the facility is clean. Now the office is run with virtual computers set up by Reliant Mangement and customer service no longer exists. They are absolutely horrible. I would be extremely cautious in giving them any credit card or debit card information for auto payment as they are now streamlining cash from their customers by issuing you an invoice for one amount and charging your credit card a higher amount. Of course you cannot speak to any management because they are busy hiding behind their cameras and email system. I would also be aware when renting any unit as they will give you one price and then two months later substantially increase your monthly amount.
