I booked Kerb for my cross-country move from CA to MA based on the favorable quote I received…read more This initial quote, however, turned out to be a bait as they ended up charging me extra $2,000. I was told that the movers would arrive between 9am and 11am. Instead, I was given several updates from the foreman, who repeatedly gave me revised arrival times that were simply not true. At one point, he blamed traffic on a specific highway -- yet a quick check of live traffic data showed that route was completely clear. The crew finally showed up at nearly 3pm -- four hours late -- completely blowing through the reservation window I had secured with my building for elevator and loading dock access. I attempted multiple times to reach customer support at the number advertised on their website. Not once did I get through. Their customer service line put me on hold and played music for a few minutes and disconnected. To add insult to injury, after the packing was done, I was handed an additional charge of over $2,000 on top of the original quote -- this, after hours of delay and disorganization entirely on their end. The job should have wrapped by 3pm. We didn't finish until well after 6pm, creating further complications for my move-out schedule. If that weren't enough, the vehicle transport I paid for was delayed by at least four days due to truck repairs -- information I only received after paying. I'm flying out of state before my car can even be picked up. When I received my household items, there were several damaged items. I expect to find more as I unpack my boxes.

Kerb was fantastic! Cars were exactly as we had dropped them off, though transported without any coverings or enclosure. A totally seamless and easy and reliable experience!

I deeply regret ever doing business with this establishment. They are predatory, meddlesome, intentionally manipulative, and further I believe they specifically discriminate against single people and disabled people. I will never rent from independent storage again now I know why corporate storage has become so big in our country. My recommendation; Watch your back with this business if you are there already, record conversations, and keep your distance from the staff they are extremely strange and enjoy causing problems in peoples lives.

I want to start by noting that I rarely write negative reviews. If you look at my review history,…read moreyou'll see that I generally take the time to highlight positive experiences and give businesses the benefit of the doubt. It takes a sustained pattern of issues, combined with an unhelpful management response, for me to feel compelled to write a review like this. This review is specific to the ReadySpaces location on Alma Ave in San Jose and does not reflect on other ReadySpaces locations. I've been a member at ReadySpaces on Alma Ave for almost three months which is the minimal contractual leasing period, and unfortunately my experience has consistently fallen short of what is advertised as a professional, supportive workspace. The primary issue is not just the physical conditions of this space, but how concerns are handled by management. The warehouse units are extremely cold, especially for those working long hours, early or late into the evening. Despite this, there was never any clear communication--written or verbal--that portable space heaters were prohibited. That restriction does not appear in the license agreement or posted facility rules. When power issues occurred, management response focused on blaming individual tenants rather than addressing infrastructure limitations. I also experienced repeated problems accessing shared resources, specifically the conference room. I was told multiple times that I did not have functional access to the reservation system, which prevented me from reserving the room properly. On one occasion, the conference room was occupied for hours late into the night, with occupants stating they intended to stay indefinitely. When shared spaces are treated this way, it effectively excludes other members from access, especially those who were never properly onboarded into the reservation system in the first place. More concerning was the lack of enforcement around who is present in the facility after hours. I personally observed non-business activity that appeared inconsistent with a professional warehouse environment. These concerns were raised with management, including Regional Manager Ryan, yet there was no meaningful follow-up or acknowledgment beyond dismissive responses. Surveillance cameras are present, so it is difficult to understand how these issues are overlooked while tenant concerns are met with defensiveness. Communication from management, specifically Ryan, felt reactive and lacking accountability, shifting blame to tenants at all cost, rather than collaborative or solution-oriented. Concerns were reframed as tenant responsibility instead of being acknowledged as operational issues affecting members' ability to work safely and productively. For clarity, this review has no bearing on Property Manager Jonathon, who has consistently done his best to be helpful and compassionate, even when his authority and ability to act appeared limited. I would caution prospective tenants--especially women--to carefully evaluate whether this space aligns with their needs. Transparency, consistent enforcement of rules, and respectful communication matter just as much as square footage. Unfortunately, those elements have been lacking here.

He's always available to answer any questions and is always willing to lend a helping hand to any tenant in need. Mike has been nothing but amazing and we're really glad to have had our first experience renting a commercial space be with him. Really liked that ReadySpaces is a low commitment option for growing businesses. Other warehouse spaces usually require you to sign a lease for a minimum of two years whereas here, you're only required to stay for minimum of 3 months and every month after that is month to month, and you're able to move to different units during that time without any penalty so it's perfect for people like us, who we are still trying to figure out the amount of space we need. They also have cool amenities like docks, forklifts, and pallet jacks available for tenants to use. Other great perks is that if you're in e-commerce, USPS/UPS/FedEx pickup and deliver packages daily and internet (fiber optic) + utilities are included in your rent. If you're a new/growing business, ReadySpaces is a great solution for your storage needs, and with Mike as the manager, you know you'll be in good hands!

Very clean, well lit, easily accessible, and huge bays for loading/unloading. Once I told the manager, Kevin, what I was looking for in a space, he took me right to one that was perfect! The only thing I was nervous about, were the electronic lock systems on the units. Turns out, that's one of my favorite things now! Makes life SO much easier! The fact that the facility is climate controlled is a huge plus for me as well. The process of signing up was easy, the price was indeed better than local competitors, the app is great, and access is a piece of cake. It's still a new facility, and I'm sure there will be some bugs to work out (sometimes the app gives me trouble - but that could very well be my phone or operator error LOL), but so far Trojan Storage has been fantastic.
