Today I went in, there was a wonderful girl totally willing to help me out behind the desk, her name was "Dulce"... I was really having a stressful day, my movers didn't show up... I got to the facility, I had a reservation, which by the way I totally recommend that you call, someone can actually check several locations all at one time and give you quotes... I actually originally had a reservation somewhere else, decided it was too small they help me to locate another location with a larger unit. My reservation was for a 10 x 20 space, for some most people it wouldn't have mattered, the ceilings are high to begin with....but it happened to be that the ceiling in one of the spaces just happened to be a slightly slanted ceiling in the back....and I have just really oversized furniture... It happened to be another 10x20 space where the ceiling seemed just slightly taller but even 6 inches could've made a difference of whether my furniture will fit or not... She couldn't reach her regional manager right away, so she tried to reach out to a second manager, and we both patiently waited, but she got the job done to trade storage spaces for me on a weekend when corporate was closed....and I was so pleased!!! I actually want to "recognize" Dulce to management, I am sure that customer service cannot be easy at a facility like this, because it can get really busy and there are a lot of stressed out people! So, I just want to say that she was totally patient, willing, logical, no annoyed faces....she deserves 5 stars...She is manager material Thank you ! Jennifer read more

I got a new storage unit here. The storage unit itself is nice and the set-up was easy. However my first day moving in, there was no dolly I could use to move in my boxes. The second day I moved in there was one dolly, but it was broken. Can you get more moving dollies please? read more

There was no call to say units were broken into, no notification at all. I've used public storage before but this is the last time. Never again will I waste money on this company. Unless you get a locker with the roll up garage style door, don't bother renting here. I did not get proper notification of upcoming increase and was told the next would be $ 315 for a 5x10 . This ongoing rent scam has to properly controlled . Beware of said scam rates. Poorest rating. I'm another victim of a break in at this facility. I did have some things of value stolen, both monetary and sentimental. It's clear from the photo (and those of others who have posted) that you can pry open the door without needing to cut the lock. I observed several other units with pry damage on the door and the SG police officer said they responded to another break in at the facility yesterday. Like one of the other reviewers said, there's little video surveillance (none inside the hallways), so I'm sure the crook could take their sweet time clearing out my unit. In short, don't store anything if value here. The only bright side is my unit is almost completely empty, so closing out my account should be quick and easy... read more

Possibly the worst retail experience in my whole life. Do not rent from this location. I had my unit get broken into and management wasn't helpful let alone sympathetic. Because I didnt get insurance, they simply said too bad. The San Gabriel Police informed me this location gets broken into at least once a week. The owner of the location declined for the police to patrol the complex. There is only ONE security camera in the whole complex, which is at the main entrance. Once a burglar comes into, they can take their sweet time breaking into each unit without fear of detection. Post break in, I realized every unit has evidence of being tampered with or broken into (view photos). I have been wanting to move out for over two months but the service elevator has been broken. I informed the front office I cant move out because the service elevator is broken and their reply to me is that people have been able to move out, why cant you? This is evidence yet again how management doesnt care about its customers and people with disabilities. They expect everyone to haul all their possessions down 1.5 flights of stairs. read more

My unit and a bunch of other units all got broken into. The latch that the lock goes on was loose and it never got fixed. The pin as shown on the picture is supposed to go all the way through. The unit could be easily pried open and should not even be rented out due to the defective pin. When I filed a police report, the cop said the tenants should file a class action lawsuit for their defective door latches with the pin being too short. read more

I was very happy, although, I had some problems online and I couldn't complete my registration! However , the girl that I spoke with at the front desk- was awesome! She helped me through everything! I had driven for two hours and I didn't realize the store closed early and she worked with me, it was nice! She also informed me I can take advantage of buying multiple boxes to receive up to 30% discounts (which I bought 30 boxes). My wife saw the $1 first month promo and she quickly made an online reservation for a 10 x 20 unit. However, the space was not available when my wife checked in the next day. Dulce gave my wife hard times so I had to step in and argued with her in front of other customers. They honored the deal after I threatened them with bad feedbacks on Yelp, Google and every online review sites!! The problem didn't end here! The first month supposed to be only $1 but they charged us almost full price! Called in and spoke with Dulce but she played dumb and denied it. She kept telling me no such charge, it didn't show up on her system. After getting threatened with order cancellation, credit card disputes and small claim court, Dulce called back and she told me that she found the charge and reversed it. SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES!! I rented a unit in Naples Florida on Davis Blvd, Unit D139 and it leaked. It was an interior unit so the leak might have been from their AC. My furniture, boxes , and a number of items were ruined and had to be thrown out. There was mold on almost all the boxes which were wet . The wet boxes collapse and broke my fine china, glasses places, etc. They did not reimburse me stating I did not take the insurance. The manager was helpful in supplying boxes to put the things I salvaged. I had to wash my clothing , and everything that was in the unit because they moldy. read more

I notified this office via voicemail Twice that I was was moving out after being there only a little over a month, and through email as well. I removed the locks from the unit . In addition, they charged me $50 for 2 locks for a 20x 20 unit which they required me to buy 2 locks for 1 unit because of the size. I paid for the 1 st month and got second month free but vacated unit after 5 weeks. I email them 3 times and called them twice notifying that I vacated the unit and they have continued to try and bill me 4 months later. So far so good. I read some of the negative reviews here and I hope I don't have those types of problems later. I rented a 10 x 10 facility upstairs and the rate was good for what I was looking for, and was incredibly convenient to the company of where I work. From the beginning introduction, to the showing of the storage spaces as I was unsure which space was best, to the completion of the rental, everything was efficient. Jonathan did a great job explaining everything and detailing answers to my questions. I was a bit caught off guard by the required storage insurance, which is a minimum of $11/month so factor that into your cost. Be sure to do the online reservation to get the online price, as I believe it's lower than renting at the facility. Also, the storage facility inside is cool, which is an added bonus. The location is not left-turn exit friendly, but all else, good experience. read more

I have been looking for a storage unit to store some stuff for a couple months and this public storage is two blocks from my home and had vacant units available. I had come on a friday afternoon to look at the units with magali and another employee and i did not end of taking the unit that day but they warned me prices online will change before i left. The next day I checked online and they were right, the price had gone up a few dollars and and the promos were different. We ended up needing a bigger storage than we thought anyways and my boyfriend called the call center with a few questions and made a reservation with them for the online price. However when we got there the price was different but Magali was there again and she was so helpful and got us the rate we reserved for online and let us know about everything they have available for customers. The place is located right next to a railroad crossing; and currently there is construction in front of the office. But rates here are a lot cheaper than neighboring Public Storage locations so I can't complain. Place looks clean enough and well-lit. A storage is a storage is a storage. Awhile ago I got a call saying someone broke into a unit next to mines and I need to come and check it out so I did and my lock was messed up so I asked if they can replace it and it took FOREVER! 2. After moving things out I had asked the girl at the front desk to write my password down since they changed it for whatever reasons and why did it take her forever to write down 6 numbers??? And why did she act like I was asking the world? She's literally sitting on her ass all day looking out the window and when someone asks her for something she gives a sign? No girl, you need to change your attitude. 3. For some reason their payments wasn't accepting my auto pay and had took my info off without me knowing so by time the bill was due I wasn't aware and was charged a fee. After explaining how I routed my banking info online and it keeps declining my info the "manager" argued with me saying it's my bank. So I called the bank and it took awhile for them to tell me it's not the banks fault it's PS. So I called ps again to explain that and this asshole manager lady started arguing with me. Talking over me. Would not listen and wouldn't shut the hell up for me to get a word in, so me being petty I talked over her til she got the point. Still didn't get my question answered. Still didn't get my problem solved. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PUBLIC STORAGE AREA TO ANYONE! They need to hire all new staff and get rid of these lazy ass rude bitches. This company doesn't care about its customers. I have had a storage there for 15 plus years. The monthly rate increases beyond what the rate would be if I were a new customer. I can check online and find the rate is lower than what I'm paying. This is very discouraging. I haven't been able to move due to health reasons but plan to do so soon. The people running this piece of crap are never there! I am moving by myself and need to borrow the roller cart and no one is around to unlock it. The Dulce was late to work this morning and left me standing outside then was gone in the middle of the day for no reason, not during their scheduled lunch break. Moving is already stressful enough, don't make it harder by using this place!!! On top of all of this. Since Dulce wasn't around I had to carry my boxes on my own and tripped, dropping my key to the unit down the elevator shaft. She was rude and said they wouldn't be able to open my unit for a week!!
