You have to write down the full Credit Card number, the expiration date, and even the CVV on what looks like a badly photocopied piece of paper. When we had to change the card on file, we had to actually go to the office and complete another dodgy looking form, rather do it online, securely, through a website or an app. Surely having to write down your entire Credit Card number with expiration date and CVV is not PCI compliant (and yet I did it anyway). Two, they raised our rate immediately after signing up and then they raised it again shortly after that. We hadn't even had the unit for one year. Our original rate was $47/month when we joined in May, in July it was raised to $59/month, and then in November it was $65/month. Three, we attempted to access our storage unit outside of office hours a few times but the pin pad to get into the building was broken more often than it worked. The last time we went, our car was full of stuff but couldn't get in (again). This was deal breaker for us. Other things that were annoying: there is no dedicated parking, only street parking. The office and lobby area wreak of cigarette smoke. The storage unit itself was fine, but the floor was unfinished. When we went to say we were moving out, there were no questions asked. Just a "what is your unit number?" and "sign here" and "here's your move out receipt". Like ok, bye?

I happen to ask about the truck andb policy and mentioned I reserved a unit at the other location because they didn't have the size I needed outside. She asked me what I was moving. I told her and she asked if I had seen the unit. I said no. She took me to see what unit I reserved and I was very surprised. It was definitely too small. She took me to see the unit i I really needed and it was perfect. Because Suzy interacted with me and asked probing questions, she saved me a lot of frustration on moving day. On move in day, the process was quick and painless. Tony and the manager Michael greeted me with high energy and great customer service. The process was seamless. I especially liked the jokes and laughter. Sometimes that's things can be boring and you just want it to end. Lol but they made it cool. Even when I was returning the truck. As I parked, Michael was coming out. I didn't have to wait. Finally paperwork was a breeze and cool even with me being super tired. Lol Thanks you guys. I recommend this location.

From April to May, the main security gate remained open and broken. Repeatedly driving by and seeing the gate open for anyone to access became increasingly frustrating. I understand we're paying for storage but the purpose of a secured facility is completely undermined if the gate is not maintained or repaired in a timely manner. What finalized my decision to move out of my unit was the extreme disappointment I felt from the lack of urgency in addressing the issue. After doing a bit of research, I can assume why there was no rush. Based on the company policies/terms it seems the condition of the gate does not create a significant liability for CubeSmart. Therefore, if an event does occur, the customers lose, not the company. From this experience, I discovered this company does not prioritize customer concerns when serious issues arise. After moving out due to the circumstances mentioned, I overpaid for three weeks and requested a $75 refund. They denied without hesitation. The only compensation offered during this whole month-long debacle was a $10 credit that could not be applied to my final payment. I called to discuss this and never received a return call. I lost even more money moving units to StorageMart, but I would do it again to avoid this Cubesmart and all others. They clearly do not believe in making an unfortunate situation better for their customers. Fun fact: According to public figures, Cubesmart made $333.8 million dollars in profit last year. They can surely afford to refund their customers when wrongdoing has occured.

When signing up we had a quote for the amount of items and $60 for any pick up or drop off appointments. At some point during the time we stored with them they changed their policy so the appointment fee to drop off our things back to us after storage is $800! Its highly inconsiderate and unimaginable to have customers sign up for $60 fees and change that to $800 after the agreement was already made, and they have the customer's items. I cannot understand a change like that, and will be reaching out to their billing department to dispute this charge. Makespace is an efficient moving and storage combo company. The process of preparing made sense; we told the company what items we needed stored and they sent us bags so we can pack ahead of time. We were able to work with Rick and Travis who did great jobs moving us out of one place and in to our next place. Rick is a friendly, outspoken personable character; he has a lot of moving knowledge that was helpful for breaking down furniture and placement of furniture. The customer service was helpful when we called to make appointments or discuss billing. We were able to go to the storage facility to drop off additional storage items. We used the storage for around 6/7 months.

Macrena responded to my New Year's Day inquiry that same day and reassured me that she would hold the unit I needed until I was available to come to the facility for a tour and sign the paperwork. Vanessa, her sister, was at the facility when I arrived a week later & had everything well coordinated. The buildings and my unit were clean & obviously well maintained. The area was well lit and I felt at ease with the prospect of visiting my unit alone. The access for off-loading is also both convenient and ample, and I am confident the delivery of my goods will be very smooth for the transportation company. 5 stars for responsiveness, great communication, overall customer service, a clean & well maintained facility and the ease of doing business in an abbreviated timeline.

It started at the floor level and has crept up about 6-8" on the furniture. I sent them pictures of it and asked them to call me. They did not call. When I called them about it they said I can submit a claim to my insurance. They say they keep the humidity at 55%, but this cannot be accurate, as the mold would not grow at that level. Lately the place smells musty when you walk in, so clearly there is a problem. It did not used to smell that way before. They offered no mitigation and said they have nothing to offer me. A real disappointment.
