When I signed the contract, they…read moretold me I could come in any day anytime from 9-5pm - that was important to me as I have odd work hours. In the month I've been using them, I've come in 3 times and EACH time I've had to wait 30-60 minutes for someone to come back as they have stepped out and had a sign in the window. I hired guys twice and so I've had to pay them to just sit here and wait for the staff to come back. I'm moving my stuff out today to another storage place namely because of this problem. Again, price is awesome, staff friendly. But if hours and accessibility is important to you, stay away.

My unit was rented by my 47yr old daughter. Do to the fact my oldest sister past away in 7/2/25.She…read morehad a one bedroom apt. that we had to pack and then her storage unit. Both were in Capitola, CA. The unit rented at 297.00 plus 15.00 insurance. The 2nd mo. it went up above 300 something, I'm not sure because my Daughter pd it also. The next month I paid it and it 406.00mo. the amount stayed there for 2 more months. That's when I looked into other storage places. I found one 2'x3' larger for 188.00. I went to let Star know I was planning on moving by the end of the month since I'm on a fixed income. The office personnel asked why if that was my only reason for leaving, which at that time it was. She said since I was an elder and took the contract over that she could call and get it reduced if I would stay. So I did. The next month it went down to the original rent. However before the next payment was due I got an email notifying me the rent would being going up. I paid 412.00 after a 43.00 dollar discount for being a senior. So now I'm going to have to find another unit that I can afford. Also the unit is open till nine or so pm but there is no electrical outlet in or near so I can't see after it gets past dusk. Also the only restroom on the property is in their main office. So if it wasn't open I had to put everything I had been putting outside the unit back in and leave to go use another restroom. By then when your working alone it doesn't even cross your mind to go back and start over!
