I rented a space several weeks ago but wasn't able to actually fill it. Went there 2 different times to try and locate actual rented unit. A car was in to the parking lot but front door was locked and no one answered the phone. Finally found a person today (in her car, parking lot) asked where the unit was. After she was done with rolling her eyes in disgust all I was told inside. I again looked all around and a full cart but there were 4 doors and a elevator. I searched for over an hour. No signs, no markings just totally confusing in every way. I think signs on doors (Units #1-100) would be very helpful. And if you don't like your job go find one that will make you and your customers happy. read more

I moved out on August 15th the girl in the front told me all I needed to do was take my lock but I was still charged the following month. You never ever can get someone on the phone between the office hours. The units are easy access which is good, however this is the only storage place I've ever been ti where a code is not needed to access the elevators. read more

Be careful with this company. They will increase your rent within months of moving in knowing how hard it is to move out to a cheaper location. It's like a bait and switch operation. Just was told our rent will increase by 40%. ( $80) starting in a month. read more

We recently switched our storage from a bigger unit to a smaller one. Brittani, who worked that day was very friendly and helpful. She made everything so much easier. We even made jokes and laughed through the process. We stored most of our household at Public Storage for almost 4 years and never had any problems. The only complaint I have, is that the yearly increase in rent. Our rent went up by more than 10% every year which makes no sense. When I called them and ask how come, they say, it's cost of living. Funny, because when I get a raise at my job, cost of living is only 3%. read more

I like using this facility. I've never had any issues with my stuff here. The guys working have always been nice and helpful. My grandma and mom have also used this location for years. Extremely clean (we use the temperature controlled indoor units), easy access gate, and inside the office/store portion they have everything you need to move. Boxes, packing peanuts, tape, wrapping paper, mattress bags, etc. One kind of big issue is that inside there are only 3 carts. Only once have I gone there and no carts were available but it was very inconvenient because I wasn't able to take much home that I wanted. The boxes would have been too heavy to carry or drag. I was there for 2 hours going through boxes and periodically checked for a cart the whole time. Please invest in a few more carts!! 9/10 recommend and will continue storing our belongings until we move out of state. read more

Beware, they will raise your rates every couple of months knowing how hard it is to move in and out. Staff very rude if you ask a question they say call the main office. read more

I needed a storage space in immediate fashion and they were open on a Sunday...so I was glad they were able to accommodate my needs! So I thought. I worked with Christine {was her 1st day} and she was nice and helpful. I was told it was $25 for the move in- $1 for the first month and $24 for the administrative fee and it was actually another$11 for insurance. It just so happened that the gate was malfunctioning and I would not be able to move anything in after 5pm. They actually closed the gate at 9, if it were working right. It happens. I realized that night after registering online that they required a payment a week later!!! Umm...what happened to my first month!!! I was sure that I had to get my stuff out before then. I went back to clear out the unit and was abruptly met with a lady, I think her name is Katie. I walked in and Christine closed out my account and didn't know she wasn't supposed to until after the unit was inspected. Katie nastily asked me to come back after I was finished!!! Umm...I already did what I was supposed to do!!! She made me feel like I didn't follow the rules or something. It's not my fault that Christine didn't do things the right way. Point blank- I don't like their "1st month policy" and Katie is nasty and needs to be re-trained in customer service!!! read more

I stopped in to see if I could grab a space right around the end of the year. Christine was very helpful and showed me what was available and took me to see the units. I wasn't able to commit that day so I went in 2 days later. I worked with Katie and she was also knowledgable and friendly. She quickly showed me the unit (she knew I had a short time to get this done that day), had me reserve on line so she could pull it up right away and get started. She explained the charges to me (admin fee, lock, etc.) and had me on my way quickly. The place is clean and well kept - I know lots of people in our community in Severna Park use this PS location. read more

I had 2 outside storage spaces at the Millersville, MD location. They were not close to each other on opposite sides of the facility. Both leaked and many items were ruined. Since it is a storage unit, I did not go there for a very long time. Almost everything was ruined. Not just because of the water damage but because of the smell from the water damage. I had insurance but the things I stored were not worth much but worth a lot to me. Just try another facility. read more

Dont use this location if you expect security. The security gate often doesn't work so the manager just leaves it open 24/7! The latest problem is a broken gear or chain and so the gate has been open constantly for about a month. Yes, the employees are always polite but PS must not pay them much because there is a new site manager every few months. All in all, this is a poorly managed site. read more

Loaded up the truck to take to the storage unit. Got there and the access code for the gate didn't work. it was after 5pm so no one in the office. Finally got through their 800 number who verified the access code that I had used was active. had to return home with the load still Mon the truck and exposed to the elements. This is unacceptable and uncalled for in an automated system! read more

We have been here many times as we pack. Everyone has been super helpful and friendly. Christine has waited on me a couple times, and, like the rest of the staff was super.
