The ONLY reason that I am giving them 5 stars is because of Jamie. She was GREAT! She was able to assist with an issue since the Regional Manager stopped responding to my phone calls about the issue. It was a good price for the unit I had but it is older than the other locations. They do not have any carts or pulleys to help you move your stuff. The doors are old. Someone put an unknown lock on my unit, never told me when the lock would get cut, said my account was behind (it wasn't) and then had it tagged for auction. Jamie was amazing. She is in the office (before it was extremely hard to find someone on property). She followed up quickly. She called proactively. All great customer service. She deserves a raise :) I hope her supervisor realizes the wonderful level of customer service that she provided. read more

Do you like dead rodents and rat poop in your valuables? If so, this is your spot! So many of my beautiful items destroyed, rats got into boxes, chewed through plastic, mattresses and ruined so many of my personal items. Disgusting and unsanitary. read more

This place is disgusting and gross. They ruined my items, there were many holes in the ceiling of my unit and it was discovered when I found my boxes wet and I found molds in my other boxes. They do not care about making their wrongs into rights and never prorated me for moving out earlier. The place is a piece of crap because there's lots of bugs in the units and surrounding it. The manager was rude and said they DO NOT CARE for my Items and IT IS WHAT IT IS. The place is not maintained, what was told that I pay for a space and whatever happens to any unit on their lot is not their problem. I will further this by reporting them to every possible place I can find to get them fined. DO NOT RENT FROM this DIRTY DISGUSTING and ROACH INFESTED PLACE. read more

They get you in with a teaser rate. And I mean a teaser rate. Be prepared to get rent increases multiple times a year. I moved into a small 5x5 internal unit today, October 27th. Things aren't looking good so far. The door access to the hallway is missing the electronic keypad so the door just pulls open instead of being secured. My unit is against the wall so there is a large pathway on the floor that is probably used for drainage or water issues, but to me it looks like a super highway for rodents. The sheet metal construction of the inside units is really sad and I'm pretty sure removing four screws would immediately open up my unit. Pulling on my lock makes the whole door assembly buckle and move inches. The main gate entry keypads cannot be reached from a vehicle and for me the Public Storage app always claimed I was too far away so I had to get out and manually type my code. read more

I have been at the Elkridge Public Storage facility for quite a few years and their new manager Titus, who goes by "T" is the best manager I have ever dealt with. He is always asking me if I need anything and always does it with a friendly smile. Yesterday, he actually set the automatic doors to open without putting in my code since I had some really long frames going into my unit. I didn't even know that was possible, but T made my day!! A true helpful manager who I look forward to seeing when I go to my 10 x 30' unit. I highly recommend using that Elkridge Public Storage facility and contacting Titus, "T". He can make your move much more pleasant. read more

August 22 We called public storage to see if we could store our car there. (Public storage being right next to the tow yard) if anyone has ever had there car towed, then your aware that money accumulates over time.(and we wanted it out as soon as possible) But with no tags we needed something close to keep it safe so it would not be towed again. Donna the woman who answered was very helpful with any information We wanted to know. we then agreed we were going to rent a 10 by 20. Donna then got our information and so that when we did show up the next day all we would have to do is sign the contract and be on our way. August 23 I have to say it was simple, she showed us the unit she gave all the necessary spill and we were done. She made us laugh and we really appreciated the genuine feeling she gave us. (The car is safe in its temporary home, the price was right and it was simple). Smile! read more

Placed a reservation online in mid-Aug of 2014. Location is a bit hard to find, but it suits the need. Donna the manager on duty was very knowledgeable and friendly. This is the best price in the area although I did not receive the $1 first month as advertised. Donna stated that the deal just ended the day before??@!! Even with that bait and switch the unit was better priced than others in the area. Note that it is not air conditioned, but again it is a deal for the area. read more

Management is beyond worthless, they force to buy a lock that only transfers to the trash can, your items become infested with spiders and one unit that was shown to me had absolutely no lights and broken glass in it. Donna, the Property Manager, is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Outdoor storage is outdoor storage, and within the bounds of that expectation, this facility excels at meeting the best advantages of that product: spacious, clean, well-lit and well-secured units with drive-up access. The property is on high ground, with most of the buildings being on the high level, so drainage of the surrounding areas shouldn't be an issue like it could be on properties located at lower local elevations. The property is a bit hard to find--you have to snake your way through a residential neighborhood off of Route 1 to access it, but in a way that makes it feel more secure. We did get the $1 first-month rent deal, unlike others reporting in these reviews, with no hassles or problems at the front desk. The online reservation tool was very helpful in planning our storage use and reserving just what we needed ahead of time, which saved effort on move-in day. I cannot stress enough how much of a difference Donna's personal attention and great customer service made a difference in our decision to choose this Public Storage location. While still shopping for storage units, my husband had called several other places before finding this property. None of them called him back. One of them even put him through a phone maze and into a hold-music loop for nearly twenty minutes before he finally gave up on trying to reach a human and hung up. Contrast this with Donna's service: within minutes--*minutes*--of having completed the online reservation form, Donna called us to confirm our reservation, move-in date, and any specific needs for the unit we wanted (size, etc.)! Again, if you're looking for clean, secure drive-up storage so you don't break your back hauling things onto and off of elevators and down hallways, this is the best property you'll find within a 25-mile radius. read more
