I rented a 5x10 for 54.00 off their website which was fitting for what I planned to store although I wouldn't put anything of value here as it's not air conditioned or humidity controlled and just in general would say storage is less than average compared to other quality storage products I have used elsewhere. The problem, after 6 months they jacked up my rate to 91.00 or 68% increase. Now I was not paying an introductory rate and called to complain, essentially told me too bad, but lowered the price to 81.00. Now 6 months later they just whacked me with another 12% increase to 93.00. Highly suggest you don't use this facility and or the storage chain as they clearly are taking advantage of their customers, for me, a 72% increase in one year! Of course you guess what my action was, move and Yelp it!

Bryan (the estimator) and I had a Facetime call where I showed him everything to be moved and explained the very long carry distance (over 300' and an elevator) from my Condo to the truck loading dock. Bryan said the entire move could be done in a day, but we choose to split the move to two days which turned out to be the smart choice. I got estimates from 2 other movers and A-One's estimate was in the middle of the 3 companies, and I felt it was the most accurate estimate due to using Facetime and really taking time to ask comprehensive questions. On load day, the crew arrived and immediately started to haul boxes. Every item (boxes, sofa, bureaus, etc.) were hand carried out of the apartment. I asked why and they said using a dolly or cart could scratch the hardwood floors or damage carpeting and they didn't want to have that happen which I really appreciated. The team of 5 (Bob the driver) and 4 always courteous guys were in constant motion. Everyone was just awesome, taking great care of all of our stuff and also being extra careful about the Condo. After the Condo was empty, I left Fairfax about 20 minutes before the A-One truck and team. 12/29 was a Bay Bridge High Wind Day causing massive delays for all of us to get to Chester (Kent Island). The next morning, the truck and team arrived at the scheduled time and had us unloaded and set-up in 3 hours - again, all hand carried. Fortunately, at my new home, it was a short carry distance, but there were now a 2nd floor loft and bedrooms where the team had to carry many boxes and heavy furniture upstairs. Bottom line, the final bill was a couple of hundred dollars less than the estimate I received. I was very happy with the cost, and this was the best move experience we have ever had. As the team was leaving, they told me that they also offer tiny moving services, meaning if you want to move furniture from one room to another or just re-arrange it, they are available. I don't expect to move again anytime soon but I do anticipate using A-One for a tiny move in the near future. I highly recommend A-One Moving & Storage.

The movers and staff members are incredibly professional, efficient, and well priced. Furthermore, it is apparent that the moving staff enjoy working with each other, while taking the job seriously. Their interactions and camaraderie added levity to a difficult task for me and my husband (which was to downsize a household of 20-yrs)!! While I cannot mention all the highlights, I will say they moved a baby grand piano to the second floor of our new house. I gave them the choice of leaving it on the first floor (because the move looked difficult). The project manager, Zach, and team members were unified in placing exactly where I wanted, which was upstairs! The value is great for the money you get 3 months of free rental on certain storage units. There's a truck you can use when you first move in for free I believe she told me within the first two weeks of moving in. Because it is a new facility there's not a lot of traffic when you come. I usually come during the week if I'm off and someone is here before they close at 5:00 if not I come on Saturdays before 1:00 before the person who works here is gone just because it's kind of creepy and if I do have to come while there's no one here working I usually bring somebody with me. Other than that it's a great location it's very convenient to where I live and like I said it's very clean. I forgot to mention that they do have flatbeds that you can use when you come also an app so that way you don't have to Fumble with the keypad you can just put the app on your phone and just scan it in front of keypad and it will let you in automatically without you having to remember your key code.

You can even pay online. When we arrived, the entire grounds were clean as well as the inside of the building. There was no weird activity and its seems that the grounds are monitored well by security. The outside is fully accessible but you need a pass code to access the inside units. The inside is clean and free of smell. My unit is large and perfectly accessible. I couldn't be happier!

Carl used his expertise to come up with the perfect package that was budget friendly. Despite it being last minute, he promised that they could deliver the product by Friday. I emailed him the design, paid my 50% deposit & went on my way. I was notified within 2 days that the banner was ready for pickup! It turned out beautifully and was ready ahead of schedule! There was a small miscommunication about the pole I purchased but Carl rectified that issue quickly and 1 of the associates even assisted me in getting the banner and pole to fit properly in my car. However...the rate increases are unconscionable and I am extremely disappointed. I moved my things into a 10X15 unit on 6/16/ 2025 for a fantastic move-in special of $110/month. After 5 months the rate increased to $171/month, a 55.45% increase. I was a little concerned, but knew rates had to increase and figured it was still a fairly good price. Six months later, the price increased again to $271/month!! This amounts to a 59% increase over 6 months, and a whopping 146% increase over the course of 11 months!!! My rating is based solely on pricing practices.

They're not small increases - this latest one is a 17% increase, saying it's to make it "competitive" with market conditions, but that price is now just shy of DOUBLE what they are currently offering the same unit for online. And it's far higher than what other storage places in the area charge for the same size unit - actually higher than what other places charge for much larger units. The storage facility itself is fine (though finding a dolly when you arrive can be hit or miss), but if you opt to use this place, just plan on leaving within a year or two to go somewhere that is significantly less expensive once they jack up your rates.
