I will happily recommend Bookstore to family and friends and will never use another moving company. Their strength, kindness, commitment and pride in their job and the company, organization, efficiency as a crew (this was amazing to watch- they just flowed as a team of 5 and Patrick was an excellent leader!), was consitent and apparent throughout the entire time they spent with us. I really can't say enough good things about the experience and hope to work with them again when we hopefully buy a place and move in the next couple of years. I worked with a different moving company 2 years ago that left me scarred for life with how rude and unprofessional they were. I ended up having to finish the job myself (moving my giant couch up four flights of stairs), so when I knew I was moving again, I did my due diligence and sought out a few quotes. Another company quoted me almost $800 and required a 3 hour minimum for the job!! $800 seemed steep and I knew the job wouldn't take that long... Along came Bookstore Movers who quoted me a reasonable $470 minimum for two hours of work and a maximum of $680 for 3.5 hours of work (price breakdown: $140 per hour with 2 hour min. plus a $190 truck fee). I received a quote within a few hours of requesting it. There was no deposit required and the date was booked. I received detailed emails leading up to the move about FAQs, tips for a seamless move, and the names of my crew including contact info for the crew lead. Abdul (crew lead), Niiwayo "Y.O", and Milly were SO fast and friendly. They wrapped every single item with care in drop cloths and got to moving immediately. Despite the 90 degree heat and a total of five flights of stairs, the job was finished in 2 hours. I was SO impressed. I was so traumatized by my last move that I literally had to walk away while they moved the couch in but before I knew it, I got a text from my boyfriend telling me they had fit it through the door and our living room was all set up. I was so relieved and happy to work with them. If and when we move again, (hopefully not anytime soon, lol), I will 100% be contacting Bookstore Movers... and you should too!

There were two men on the job who handled my items with care and asked me questions about what was suppose to go the whole time. I had a great experience and the stress that it eliminated was well worth the money. The starting prices are reasonable and my only complaint would be that if there was at least another person it would have went by faster. I did end up paying for an additional hour, but it was WORTH it! I would recommend them and I would use them again. The next time I will be more realistic with myself about the time it will take and plan accordingly.

Ordering and scheduling delivery of the crates was super easy. They were great to pack and worked with our movers. My only complaint was that my delivery and pick-up times were both changed and then the driver still arrived early- normally that would be great but in the age of working from home and meetings it wasn't. Wondering if they are capable of handling a long distance move? Read on.. I received 4 quotes and felt the most comfortable dealing with Tony @ Dynamic. Some companies want to only do a virtual estimate on your phone and not come in person. He even came out a second time, in person, as I had downsized considerably and wanted to get the estimate updated based on the belongings I had left. They do flat-rate pricing which makes everything a lot easier. Did I mention their prices were also very competitive? A lot of companies see a TV, bed that needs disassembly, etc. and then tack on fees for the boxes, taking apart that particular item, etc. Even for transport up the hill I lived on. The pricing I got was for a 26 ft truck, with another flat price for an additional vehicle. Everything was included otherwise (and I had lots of oddball furniture, multiple TVs, shop tools, etc.). They also do not share your space with other customers. When the move day came, they were really careful wrapping, padding, and getting everything neatly organized into the truck. They had just enough that it overfilled the 26 ft truck. I was worried I would get charged for an additional vehicle, but Rodolfo had the idea of using a trailer attached to the 26ft truck's hitch, and only charged a nominal fee to add that on. Awesome! When we arrived, the crew unloaded in a half day and placed everything where I needed it. There was no delay in arriving--it was literally as fast as they could get there cross-country. If you can believe it, nothing at all was broken or damaged and at this point I'm fully unpacked. They were really accommodating unloading and even got a 300+ lb arcade machine down a basement staircase (not a walkout basement.. and this was a 29.5" wide arcade in a 29.5" wide staircase...), which I was thrilled about since I didn't think it would be possible. Top ratings from me and I would easily trust them to do another move. I've already sent them referrals since the move.

As this was unavoidable, I got on the hunt for a reputable, highly recommended moving company. And I was super duper happy to find A Few Good College Men. Their communication was great, the charges were clearly laid out, they arrived on time, and most importantly took the utmost care with my belongs and furniture. Clearly they have been in the business for a while, because the truck was loaded so intricately and with a lot of care. We had two stops - the first to drop off stuff to the house and the next to the storage unit. With both stops - I was really impressed with the professionalism. All in all, my husband and I both agree that they were excellent value for money; and I really felt peace of mind throughout the moving process!
