What caught my attention about this particular storage right away was the prices - they looked very reasonable online on the official website. I had checked a few other storage facilities around Midtown Miami, and StorageMart definitely offered the best deals for the same-sized units. But when I actually visited the StorageMart and spoke with the Rental Office manager, he told me that the prices are a little higher if you book directly with them. The online deals are cheaper; take note of that! Another plus about this facility - there were three people working at the Rental Office that day. At other storage companies I visited, there was usually just one person at the office. The manager here was nice and friendly. He gave me a tour of the facility and answered all my questions. I left with a very positive impression of the place. Everything looked very good and clean. There were no weird smells on the floors. Every floor I checked had good lighting, and the air conditioners were working well - the air was perfectly cool. The only negative thing I can mention about this facility is that there aren't many parking spots (I believe I counted just about six). When I arrived, all the spots were taken, so I had to park on a side street near the storage. Also, honestly, the location of the storage isn't ideal. It's separated from Midtown Miami by a highway, so it's definitely complicated if you're a pedestrian and want to walk there from Midtown. To sum up: I think this StorageMart property is very nice, and I am seriously considering renting a unit here. I can absolutely recommend it!

They also have carts you can use to move items from your car to the unit, but ask that you return them to the area where you picked them up. But when I went back a few days later to move items into the unit, one of the elevators was down, leaving only 1 working. And you can't use the stairs, saw a sign that the opening exit would sound the alarm, which was a bit of a hassle, as a few other customers were moving stuff at the same time. No cart was available, which made the process a bit longer. But overall, I'm happy with deciding to use them.

Despite verifying my identity multiple times, management refused to cut my lock for retrieval and attempted to charge a higher fee than stated in my contract. Although the contract allowed rental transfers, I was later told this wasn't permitted. It took nearly two months to regain access, resulting in unnecessary additional costs. Overall, a frustrating experience with no flexibility. I cannot recommend Spare Space Miami and property manager Suley Mehabat did everything she could to NOT help me. For someone moving to Dublin, Ireland shortly afterwards, I had to spend first 2 months with sub optimal clothing as I had over 100 ibs of belongings locked up in the US.
