Searching for a storage unit for my stuff, I stopped by this facility to see what it looked like. It was on a Wednesday around 3 p.m. The Rental Office was open, and one lady was working there. I can't say she was super friendly or happy to answer my questions. Her answers were short, and she honestly seemed too lazy to deal with me. Anyway, she agreed to walk me through the facility and show me a few units I was interested in. My overall impression of the storage was quite bad, to be honest. It definitely felt like a very old facility; it even smelled a bit musty inside. Some areas and floors also looked dirty and dusty. When the lady opened one of the unit doors for me, the door practically fell apart - it wouldn't even stay fully open. On two of the floors, it felt very warm; I don't think the air conditioning was working properly. Plus, it was quite dark on some floors. They definitely need to fix the lighting situation. Overall, I would not trust leaving my stuff in this storage facility, no matter what the price. And speaking of prices, they weren't cheap either. There were no medium-sized units available for less than $130 per month. The lady also mentioned that booking a unit online is a little cheaper than booking in person at the Rental Office; just something to note. On the positive side - if you live around the Midtown Miami area, it's pretty easy to get to this storage (you can even walk there via 36th Street). The location is convenient. Plus, there is plenty of parking available around the business. As I said earlier, I personally would not leave my belongings at this storage facility. read more

I went on 01/17/2026 at 9:40 am to see the size and price of a 5x5, a lady assisted me in a very rude way. I asked about the smaller size and she told me 5x5 I asked to please show it to me . She told me to go through a door and I can see from outside how the locker looks like. I told her I would like to see the inside to see if my stuff would fit. She responded in a nasty attitude, that I would need an escalator and that it didn't make sense the reason I wanted to see it. To see how bad she was treating me and for no reason, I told her thank you and walk away to the door. She said, ITS way too early for this shit. I didn't respond and keep walking. This location was in little Havana 800 W Flagler St. To the owner of this location I would like to recommend to hire people that actually wants a job and can provide good service that way your company can get more customers. Also thanks to a horrible customer service. I was able to find another storage facility with better price. So thank you to the rude lady. read more

I am happy to say I just ended my storage lease there due to huge cleanliness issues. They were brought to managements attention and still no progress. Upon removing all of my items I found tons of bugs and their feces within my items. Very disappointing and would not recommend this place to anyone. What a huge disappointment. I was super excited when they were building. Signed up the first day. Few months later was adding a second unit for business. Terrible service was given one price and the specific person was not on site for weeks. The other representative had no idea about an email sent or price. Had to wait . Price was much higher with very abrasive service and rude. Now the 1st unit had a HUGE INCREASE. Having never been late and added a 2nd unit. Referred people. YetT they continue to treat new customers better than loyal customers. Great for new customers an attract customers. However the rude condescending treatment continues with Safeguard. It's always an argument. Like the customer is wrong. I asked to check on n pricing since I have a business unit at another place 10×30 which is less than there 10×15. Much less. The storage facility actually lowered my bill for loyalty on their own. Safeguard called with a condescending message AGAIN telling me how grateful I should be for my great deal. So rude no loyalty. The property has electric outlets u can't use no trash can. Terrible service to customers. I watched them treat customers that were going to auction better than a loyal customer never late on 2 units for business. Go somewhere else they care only about $$$$. read more

Ended up here by chance, just shopping around for self-storage with large units. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and gave us a nice promotional price for our first month. Everything was explained in detail to us up front, unlike other storage places that simply wanted to charge us out and send us to our unit. The actual storage warehouse is temperature controlled, doesn't smell and is super clean. After visiting some other self-storage places nearby, this one made me feel the best about leaving my stuff. There's plenty of security cameras and the gentlemen in the office are always watching the screens. They offer dollies to help move things during their office hours, which is helpful. Outside of the office hours, there's still plenty of time to come and go if need be. It's conveniently located and easy to get in and out. read more

At one point asked if they can do better with their prices, and the sales agent which I think his name was Nely, threw his hands in the air and said - "hey that is the price, if you want go can go to other places around here." This was a great refreshing experience after the Public Storage fiasco I had. I went to their website and booked over the phone, no problem. They also prorated the current month for me, since there were only a few days left in the month, and gave me the $1 first month's special for the following month! The facility is new and clean and it's easy to get in and out of. I took off one star because they double charged me and took 4 days to get it off. The manager at the office was being a bit ridiculous about it at first (making it seem like it was a huge hassle), but ended up getting it all squared away, so that was good. They also are not running a special for the person applying for a new rental, only the person who referred you. So if you mention someone who has a unit there, they will give that person $50 off their next month, however they won't give you any discounts until you refer someone else. read more

I've been renting a storage unit since July 2015. I thought everything was fine until I stopped by today only to find that my unit has been taken over by RATS!!! There was rat shit all over the floor and on my things. Apparently Safeguard is aware of the problem because the manager on duty already had a new set of rat poison ready to put in the unit. She told me that if anything was damaged that I can file a claim, but they could not issue me a credit whatsoever on my account. She didn't even offer to clean the mess. My sister has a unit there as well and it's also plagued with rat shit! The manager told me that when Terminix comes AGAIN she'll have them spray around my door. There were also large silver rat traps outside my unit and some other units as well, so THEY ARE DEFINITELY AWARE OF THE PROBLEM!!!! I have already called the corporate office and the District Manager! I'll post an update once I get a call back. I pay almost $100 a month to have my items secured and so this is UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!! read more

My husband and I rented a storage unit for the month of March. We were a little put off by some of the previous Yelp reviews concerning the mouse/rate problem, but when we called the facility staff assured us that they had taken care of it. We chose this location because of the decent price and convenient location. Our belongings were in storage for less than two weeks. When we moved out, we found mouse droppings everywhere. We also found rat poison packets and chemicals throughout the unit, which was not there when we first moved in. I just got off the phone with the manager of the unit, who only offered an apology saying that they were working on the mouse problem. She also denied that there were rat poison packets dropped into our unit (there's a metal crate that acts as a ceiling), even though the packets were not in our unit when we first moved in. This facility not only has a SERIOUS MOUSE/RAT problem, they are totally dishonest and apathetic about customer dissatisfaction. It is worth the extra $ to get a storage unit that is clean and the staff is trustworthy. read more

Nice lighting when you enter your floor. However, when it comes time to pay the bill, Safeguard can only accommodate certain web browsers?! Come on. Is this a big boy company? Two months in a row I have had to pay a late fee because I could not access my account on their website. The worst is they give the lame run around. Also, when I moved in they said they would leave the dolly out so I could move at night. No dolly was there. I had to make multiple trips with my recently injured knee (which blew up like a balloon after this trip to storage), lugging my boxes up and down the elevator and hallways. It sucked. read more
