Extremely Disappointed - Lost My Belongings and No Accountability I moved from Miami to Los Angeles with City Movers and honestly, I'm very disappointed with how things turned out. They lost one of my boxes that had valuable items -- books, a $1000 speaker, a keyboard, mouse, projector, and cables -- worth around $2000-$2500 total. It's been a week since delivery, and it doesn't look like they're going to find it. The reason this happened is simple -- they didn't number or label the boxes with stickers like professional movers normally do. Because of that, my box just disappeared in the process. I've tried reaching out, but the communication has been poor and there's no real solution. I'll be filing a small claims lawsuit in Florida because this is unacceptable. I trusted them with my belongings, and they completely failed to handle things professionally read more

Fyi I never write reviews so this is my first one City Movers always alway responds to you calls emails and text right away which is amazing! second the guys that came to my house we professional, fast, and very helpful I would highly recommended them for your next move!! Todd-Boston read more

I was so ready to give the company 5 stars when the phone call and booking process went so smoothly. I knew that I was asking for a lot when I was searching for a same-day delivery service, the day after Christmas but I was willing to try anyways. I was told it would be $270 for 2 men for 3 hours. My stuff didn't need 3 hours since it was going a few blocks away but it didn't matter since it was going to happen today. The guys were able to come earlier than anticipated and obviously the excitement started to kick in. Now, not at any point was I told to take the drawers out of the dresser but the movers did and I figured this is their job they know what they're doing. Once we got to the other property I had a very important call and I watched as they brought the stuff up. When putting the drawers back into the dresser, the man literally broke it in my face- though I didn't realize it at the time. I thought he was just in a hurry and I thought that's fine I'll go back and readjust it. There was no readjusting he literally shoved the drawers in and broke my dresser and now the drawers barely open or close. Then I see a big chunk missing from my chest of drawers as well. I went down stairs to handle a call and my dad began signing papers and I thought he was signing the rest of the funds. I've never used a moving company before and was unaware he was signing an agreement that everything was fine. As soon as the paper was signed, the men left and I was still on the phone. I took my dad upstairs to show him the damages and he was furious that I hadn't said something earlier. I immediately called the company, still within their working hours and got no response. I wasn't even able to leave a vm. And I texted the number that texted me earlier explaining the situation and still have yet to hear back from them. Take away: - take pictures of all your things before and after they move u - take out/put back all drawers yourself - make sure you inspect it all BEFORE signing anything - just because they're quick doesn't mean they're good :( read more

Friendly, reliable, moved us FAST and affordably! Tony, Artur, and Evan did a great job.

I have NEVER written a poor review on social media, however my experience with city movers warrants a scathing review to protect others from what I experienced. We hired city movers to move and store our belongings for 5 months in what was supposed to be a temperature controlled facility. Clearly from the condition of my furniture it was not temperature controlled. The fabric on the leather recliner disintegrated, wood furniture warped, liquid exploded, boxes destroyed, lamps broken, stained furniture and clothing destroyed. It was as though someone wreaked havoc with our things. The worst part is when confronted with all the damage they caused the representative was obnoxious and confrontational blaming it all on me, the customer, denying any responsibility. If you are searching for a reliable trustworthy mover that will care for your belongings...DO NOT USE CITY MOVERS OF BOCA. read more

So many lies! Chris is a fast talker, he wants to be your best friend, but fails miserably. Make sure you read all the fine print on the contract and not believe what comes out of their mouths. They will give you a low offer so you go with them, but it will be much more. Just find another moving company and check the BBB to find a great company. read more

It took them 2 weeks. Many truck changes. An no communication with my friends on where there belongs were. An when it finally showed up. Things were opened up and contents missing. Broken things and missing furniture and belongs in all. Very horrible service. They should have to replace there things and refund money paid for movers. read more

We used CIty Movers on June 12th to move from a storage unit to the 20th floor of a Condo. They were on time (early). Very careful of our belonging, if they noticed something was damaged they mentioned before they moved, to confirm we were on the same page once it arrived. They knew my name! This was very nice and friendly. They were quick with their work, no wasted time. A very professional experience. I will recommend to others. Thank you for a very pleasant experience at a great price too. read more

I was shocked when they arrived & told me there was minimal insurance for their service. $.60 cents PER POUND! So if my valuable & irreplaceable mirror ($750) that weighed 10 pounds was broken, they would pay me $6 for breaking it. No one said anything about the limited insurance so I was a wreak during the move. When I asked about additional insurance they didn't have a clue. It was almost impossible to communicate with them because they spoke Russian. The worst was that the $255 price for swapping one bedroom for another one from 10 blocks away took them almost 5 hours and instead of $255 they demanded $382 plus 2% for paying w a credit card. Thank God nothing was broken but I would certainly never use these people again. read more

I hired this movers last week and they scheduled my move for today. I told them they have to be at the door at 8AM sharp since we had an elevator reservation until 12PM. And guess what? They were calling me at 7:45 saying they are downstairs! I live in Miami and actually moving not too far only like a mile from OMNI to Wynwood. However, we all know how hectic downtown could be. What I liked about this moving company, if the fact that they were on time, uniformed, polite and spoke good English. read more

Showed up on time, and finished early. Not sure about the insurance thing, but I had everything included in one price at the minimum of three hours. The guys were careful with my stuff and I would use them again. Very happy. read more

I am moving to Miami and had my stuff delivered from NYC in a crate. Hire City Movers to unpack my belongings and deliver to my new condo in Miami. Mark scheduled my move and was kind enough to issue free insure se certificate for the building I was moving in to. Move took little longer than I thought but everything was delivered, unpacked and reassembled professionally. We mostly faced a delay due to another move going on in the building. Great job and thanks! read more

Incredible, fantastic, reliable, professional, honest, fare pricing and better service than all the rest!!! Moving is one of the most aggravating and stressful experiences in the world. Luckily, City Movers made it a lot less stressful for me , so. I was only moving a one full bedroom apartment less than 10 miles away. But still, like anyone else, I had a lot of crap that needed to be moved. Plus I had furniture that need to be disassembled and reassembled. I was impressed at the effort that they took to wrap everything what I want, even for a short move. They put forth as much care as if it were a cross the country move. City Movers did it all perfectly. They came when they were supposed to come. Packed up EVERYTHING and then moved it with no problems. They reassembled the furniture and put all my items and boxes where they were supposed to go. If I'll move again, I definitely will use City Movers !!! Highly recommend all other!!! read more

Most movers do not really care on how to handle your stuff because all they care about is being able to deliver it at the specified destination. But what I've noticed with City Movers is that they take extra care in handling our belongings, always making sure that it does not get damaged while in transit. That is why, I highly recommend City Movers if you are looking for a moving company to help you. read more
