The girl who works there is very rude we ask for instructions and can't even help us.

Caution. A large number of my possessions were stolen from this property. Different locks were placed on my unit (perhaps as a way to mark my unit). Management was disinterested and unwilling to assist me with respect to investigating my stolen possessions. I reported the matter to police, who said that people steal from this location all the time and the owners don't care. If you are looking for a place to securely store your possessions, this is not the place. If you are looking for a place to hang out at a storage unit or steal other people's things, this is the place. read more

The manager was amazing he was so helpful to me and my family everything that could go wrong did we don't have enough space in our unit it was after closing but he still let me put the rest of my stuff in another unit his customer service was above and beyond and I really appreciate that read more

Avoid this company!! I had an absolutely horrific experience. First, their businesses practices border on the unethical. I recently moved out of my storage unit on the 3rd day of the month. They refused to pro-rate or refund a single penny! Both the people on the main customer service line and the people at the property just shrug their shoulders and tell you that's the way it is. Nobody gives a rip, and they're obviously quite accustomed to people being unhappy about this policy as they shoo you away. This is in addition to numerous other problems. The rolling push-carts needed to move items in and out of your unit are often ALL in use, or the employee on duty hasn't bothered to unlock them that day, forcing you to make a trip to the office to get them unlocked (adds another 15 minutes to your busy day). The hardware on my unit door was loose and didn't seem very secure. And they pretty much coerce you into buying one of their padlocks. You know that feeling you get when you can tell you're being manipulated? Yeah. That's these guys. Security is an issue generally. The main security door to the corridor for my unit was unlocked and propped open nearly every time I went by to pick up inventory. (We stored items for our business there.) Notice there are numerous other reviews that complain about security issues. This property is surrounded by street people, so you think they'd take security seriously. They don't. With the exception of one bright young man (I wish I could remember his name - I'd hire him!) the employees here are lackadaisical and unmotivated. As mentioned above, when enforcing the outrageous policies of the company, they basically just shrug. None of them has any authority to improve things. Finally, it was only a minor annoyance, but one of the features they pitched to me was the ability to open the security gate and doors with my phone. What that ACTUALLY means is pulling up, clicking the button on the app, and being told at least once and often twice that you're "out of range" before it actually works (my phone was, at most, 10 feet away from the keypad). It's only a minor frustration, but this place is FULL of frustrations. I rented from this property because it was closer to our office than our previous facility, at StorQuest. But the experience was night and day. Public Storage is the perfect example of the big, faceless company where nobody cares and they squeeze their customers for every nickel. The employees at StorQuest (only 0.5 miles away, and I wish I'd gone back there!) were always helpful and the facility was efficient and well maintained. My advice? Make the short drive and AVOID this big orange dumpster fire. read more

Worst service, horrible experience with management . Disrespectful and wouldn't let us load in

Please hire security to walk the halls and kick the homeless people out. It is unsanitary and of poor optics to have people poop and pee on the property. My unit was broken into and after walking around noticed 2 more units locks popped. A guard could have prevented all this. Staff member was extremely empathetic and helpful. read more

Cintya is very special! She helps in everything needs!!! All halls are clean!!! I have few months there everything ok

Honestly this place sucks. The elevators work when they want. And they never have carts available to move your stuff from the car upstairs. Most of the other public storage locations allow access until 9 but this one closes at 5 including weekends. So inconvenient considering most people get off work at 5. read more

I recently rented a unit from this public storage at San Pedro and 18th St. The location is very convenient. Right off the 10 fwy. The parking is large and gated for extra security. Throughout the building I noticed that the hallways are very clean and there are plenty of security cameras. Although it's for only for a few months, I feel very safe storing my property here. The office was very clean and the staff was super nice and attentive to my needs. Great job! read more

After 10 + years here and 4 of complaining about the mess, smell and maintenance needs - we moved. This place has become a hang for the homeless with some living in the units. I'll say it here: this place will burn down one day if they don't get a grip on the people living here and around the building. It's not what Public Storage is all about and the recent events haven't made it easy for them downtown but the basics must remain - secure, clean and customer service - all of which have been grossly compromised! read more

I really am disappointed with this storage. I was literally inside already before time closing and the lady told us that the elevators were not gonna be assessable 15 minutes prior to closing. Therefore, I am planning to move out of this unit and possibly just exchange it to One that would recommend everybody to do closes a little bit later like the one on Boyle Avenue. This one is complete trash with the hours that they have on top of that staff are very rude read more

Miss Dazia always has such a great attitude and is always so welcoming everyone I go to make a payment

Totally ridiculous. Management ... 1) Why are there so many water bugs and roaches crawling around? 2) Why do some of the lights not work even after hours? 3) Why are homeless begging for money right outside the fence? This business is a dangerous mess. Location is horrible; customer service is bleak; and prices are sub-par at best. You also can only access your unit until 5pm on weekends; unacceptable! The only possible plus I could think of is that you can usually move in same day; IF you buy one of their $20 locks along with their mandatory insurance of which they own the company ... Get it together already.. read more

Not great. The folks who live/sleep in the units during the day are the most honest and helpful people here... the unusual hours reflects management's tacit approval of the practice. In general, management is best described as aggressively acquisitive. Research other local option before considering. I also recommend never getting personal storage spaces; you will almost always end up losing money/value. read more

Beware. Beware. Find another storage facility. My story: Suddenly have to move out or my apartment. Short notice. I rent a storage unit here because it's close. They sell me a unit. And insurance. And a lock. I sign the lease. I call the moving company. The next day my moving company loads everything I own into their truck. We drive to the storage facility. None of the elevators seem to work. I speak to the people working in the office. They shrug. I try again. Still nothing. I come back to the office. They shrug again. They walk as slowly as possible to the elevators. I get a call from my movers. They made it up the elevator. But they're trapped and can't get back down. I say hold on, I'm getting someone to fix it. She shrugs. Says it's fine. Elevator is just probably in use by someone else. Then she adds: by the way, the gates of this facility will lock in fifteen minutes. I say what do you mean. She says that I have to be out in fifteen minutes or I'll be locked in. I tell her that everything I own is in a moving truck. We just started. She shrugs. She says that if we're not out in fifteen minutes the only way to open the gate will be to call the police. Stunned silence from me. She shrugs. I call my movers. I don't know what to do. Slight panic. Moving is stressful. But this is more than I expected. The movers act fast. They offer to store everything in their own facility. I run to them and help them pack the truck back up. We leave with seconds to spare. The movers tell me they're sorry. They knew this place was bad. I go back to the office to close my account. I have paid about 120$. No refund. The lady shrugs. I leave. I get in my car. Stunned silence. I'm a pretty nice guy from the suburbs. I've never been treated like this before. I suddenly have an overwhelming sympathy for people who have no choice but to deal with situations like this all their lives. You do have a choice. Do not choose this facility. Do not be like me. Do not use this facility. Beware. Beware. read more

ZERO STARS THEY WILL STEAL FROM YOU. 100% "INSIDE JOB" Beware this property is stealing from its customers. In 10 days both my smart TV & hidden MacBook Air was stolen. Thankfully they were kind enough to leave me at least 1 TV (The smallest 1 out of the 2), how commendable. March 9th, I arrived to reserve a unit, was recommended storage unit B-12 (1st floor) for the size I was seeking (10x20) by the employee handling my reservation. While inspecting the unit she pointed out issues with the wall and promised that maintenance would resolve that issue and the unit on the other side was vacant. She stressed that my unit would not need to be accessed at all and continued to clarify that my items would be safe and the property has cameras. Trusting her word and the name of public storage I went through with it, big mistake. March 19th, upon opening my storage unit I immediately notice 1 of my TV's are missing. I didn't want to jump to conclusions so I investigated doing my best to leave as is. After be 90% confident by Tv is gone I visit the office to let them know the situation and was eventually met with the property manger who pretty much had nothing of value to say other than "That's bizarre *head scratch*" he then told me I would have to file a police report and claim with insurance. Not till then I was informed there are NO cameras in this building and on the first floor. How convenient! Upon moving my items out it became apparent my unit was accessed via the "vacant" neighboring unit, hence the wall structure, and steps on my mattress which were propped next to the "hole". Then to make matters worse there is a hole the size of a closed fist that was covered with TAPE on the "vacant" unit side. UNSAFE unprofessional property overall. I will never use public storage again or recommend to anyone no matter the price. I would rather pay a high amount for 10days of secure storage then step foot on this property again. read more

1. Always dirty. (Including human feces inside the building) 2. Carts have been stolen. 3. DO NOT RENT. The facility is not secure and my unit was looted during the short period I rented. The building security is poorly maintained as emergency exit doors to the street do not fully close, the locks they approve for you to use can be bypassed with simple tools because the latches the facility uses are old. The facility doesn't care about this and didn't apologize much less provide details on how to reclaim the losses. read more

An employee named CYNTHIA hung up on me after becoming frustrated that she couldn't properly explain herself. My organization rents a unit here for an event and when I went to sign the paperwork I was met by 2 unprofessional and inexperienced women who were stuffing fast food down their faces. I felt uncomfortable with the language and demeanor of these women and expressed my concern to my team based out of state who had located the unit and because of time constraints we unfortunately moved forward with a rental When I called back to ask for a receipt for a charge on my statement, Cynthia became extremely aggressive and for lack of a better word "trashy". She began acting like a complete clown before hanging up on me. I reported her unbelievable behavior and waiting for a response. read more

When I arrived at 330 to sign the paperwork to secure the unit prior to moving my property into the unit that afternoon, I was informed that the last entry into the property is 445 each day and you must vacate the property by 5p. I was never informed of this when I made the reservation with the Public Storage agent nor was I informed of this when the property manager contacted me the day prior to scheduled move in date. Being that I had already reserved a moving truck and people waiting to help with the move and I needed to move out of my apartment that afternoon, I had to scramble and complete my move into the unit within less than an hour. The front desk clerk was very understanding and was able to get permission to allow us to stay within the property after hours until 7p to complete the move-in to the unit. That was very helpful. The one thing that alarmed me was the number of homeless people I observed who have access to the facility, apparently renting units for their personal items or possibly living in the units during the day. I was informed by a local resident who lives on the same block, that the facility has a history of homeless people breaking into the units by jarring the doors open or breaking the locks or crawling through the ceiling to steal other renters valuables. The neighbor told me that he was once walking down the sidewalk with his daughter and a person was pissing out of a window on the third floor. I will be moving my valuables out of this unit as quickly as possible. read more

Please go anywhere else but here! This facility is so unprofessional. They are thieves. We went on September 1st AS SOON AS THEY OPENED (Labor day weekend) which was a Sunday, to tell them we weren't going to rent there anymore. We had taken our stuff out 2 days before. They said because we used our code on the 1st, that they're going to charge us for the whole month. It doesn't matter that we haven't used our code for about 2 years. We asked to speak to a manager and they said they'll be back on Tuesday due to the holiday. So we called and they said there's nothing they can do, and we have to pay for the whole month. Well they lost a loyal customer. If we ever need a storage in the future, we will not go to public storage the company. There are other storage facilities. Zero stars if we could! read more

Great customer service! Only gave 4 stars because you only have until 5pm on the weekends to access your storage unit.

Great place to rent early hours, big area for trucks, 2 elevators in each building, right next to freeway on ramp and exit ramp

I would not recommended this location to even my worst enemy. We have been moved three times due to water damage coming in through the roof, mice infection with droppings on my property and throughout the unit and roach eggs inside the unit as well. Because of the water damage most of our property was non salvageable and had to be thrown out which caused another problem, since there was not any garbage cart on the premises. On the administrative side in the corporate office , that was another nightmare since it was nearly impossible to get a hold of someone. I had to go through their office management, Cynthia, to get help. She, along with another gentleman, were great. However, they are not the owners of the place. They were however quick to erroneously over charge and to penalize me for a situation out of my control. I have used Public Storage many times before in another state and city and never experience the nightmare as with this particular location. Find another location if you can. read more
