It's very convenient, the gate is easy to use with Bluetooth and the Public Storage app. The people that work there are very nice. The roll up doors on all units make your items very accessible. But no climate control of that's important to you. Haven't stayed here long term so not sure when they will try to raise the rent. Likely after 4-6 months. All these places are the same unless you pay like a year in full. The facility is Freeway close. The only downside. No public bathrooms. And they close on the early side. read more

Ridiculous business practice they charge you for the full month ahead even when you move out on the 1st of the month. Unfortunately the month of April 2021 ended on a work day on Friday and there is zero compromise for any proration. Even when I initially reserved my unit, it was stated at $221 per month. The very next week they dropped it down to $161 and they refused to price match their own location for me to receive the better deal at only a week later! I ran a search for local storage facilities near my workplace. This location was one of the results. Reading through the comments, a name began to stand out -- Shelly. Everything they described about her is true. She's courteous, helpful and very professional. She took the extra time to help me understand my options and how the storage locker system works. My family member who doesn't move as quickly was with me at the time. Ms. Shelly never rushed us and allowed us to take our time. She's beyond stellar and I hope everyone also experiences her amazing level of superior customer service. Thank you Public Storage and Shelly. A last note. I mixed up the gate access times and couldn't get in. The following morning I received a courtesy call from a different associate who also works at this facility. Terrible experience all around. I called ahead and was given instructions on how to reserve my space online and what my total would be, and was sent an email link to follow for my reservation. I paid and got everything set up, and then went to the space the day ahead of the day I was planning to move in to take a look. I reserved a 5 x 10 and the space is about 4 1/2 x 8'. I know sizes are approximate, but that is way too much. I have in the past rented a 5 x 8 space, at another facility, if that is the size of your space you need to say it. That's a huge difference. I rented the space because I wanted a drive-up, I currently have an upstairs unit somewhere else. That unit is also listed as 5 x 10 and there's absolutely no way I can fit my boxes from that space into the tiny space that public space storage listed as also 5 x 10. So I let the attendance at the facility know that I would not be renting it. She was very nice and she said that her manager was not in till next Wednesday but that she would let him now and get everything taken care of. Apparently she tried to close out the space and issue a refund but the system didn't allow it, so I called and spoke to a manager who said I would not be allowed a refund because supposedly my first day of rent was August 3. I told the person over the phone I wanted to move in on August 8, and they said I had all I had to do is set up the reservation and I'll be ready to go. I did not put in the specific day and time of August 3 at 10 AM, which is what was preset on the email. The manager is telling me there's no way that's possible, they don't preset it. Well, I am computer literate enough that I know for sure that I did not set that day and time, which I would not have since I was working at that time and had absolutely no intention of moving in or looking at that space that day. As a result of this they will not issue a refund. $200 down the drain. Avoid this place. I found a drive up unit for even less at another place, with a more accurate size. I guess in the end this was the best anyway, since after reading the reviews it looks like this place may also have a pretty bad rat problem. But they really should issue me at least a 50% refund. They don't have a pro-rating system which is bad because I spent $over $200 for only 4 days to gold my motorcycle. I told the cust serv rep that it would be 1 mo (likely). They need more cameras. Moving is mad stressful for anyone, but probably not as much as it is for my family. We are moving for the first time in 19 years AND we are moving across the city. We've got a LOT of stuff. We decided to get a storage unit to help us during the shuffle and I'm so happy we decided to go with Public Storage. Their price point is great, but the location is also clean and secure--we feel comfortable leaving our stuff there for sure. If you're in the area and need close and convenient storage, check it out. Planning to move across the country, I needed temporary storage for all my belongings until I secured a move date. I was fortunate to find the Public Storage at 4889 Valley Blvd. The facility is clean and quiet. Most units are drive-up units, which makes the experience much more user-friendly.
