I don't usually write reviews this early in the process, but I had such a great experience touring SoCal Self Storage that it felt worth sharing. From the start, everything just felt easy. Rebecca walked me through everything over the phone in a way that was clear, thorough, and never overwhelming. Ella was amazing in person--super friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience feel welcoming instead of transactional. You can tell they both really know what they're doing and actually care. The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, climate-controlled (which I love), and feels very secure, which was a big priority for me. No weird storage-unit vibes. Super organized and well taken care of. I haven't moved in yet, but based on how smooth and thoughtful this whole experience has been so far, I feel really confident that move-in day will be just as seamless. The facility itself is clean. The climate controlled feature is great. The staff is warm, professional, and goes out of their way to make sure you get treated like a valued guest. The reason for the two star review, is the raising of the rates in the middle of the storage term. I haven't even been there six months and my rates are already going up. By over 10%. I think that is a underhanded way to do business.. there are many positives and as long as you don't mind being charged more money every month and you were originally committed to this may be the place for you. read more

Mario went above and beyond when I was late arriving to my unit after moving out of my apartment. When I knew we would be arriving late, I called to discuss and while I did have to pay him an hourly rate to stay after hours, it would have been much worse to have been locked out! He chipped in along with the movers to help clean all my belongings which had gotten rained on during transport. He also provided some free boxes and helped haul out a bunch of recycling, all while maintaining a great attitude. It was a very stressful evening and I think Mario felt bad for what had happened during my move. Regardless of it being an extra challenging move, Mario providing that extra last minute help made a difference. Other times when I have visited my two units, he has also provided great customer service. I can't speak much on other staff at this location but I do appreciate the affordable rental rates and especially Mario's help that one night. read more

This is one of the most positive experiences we've had here in Northridge! Our daughter and roommates are moving out of the dorms and home for summer. Instead of lugging stuff both ways when they return in the fall, we opted for storage. This place is CLEAN, easy to get to, AIR CONDITIONED, music playing, labeled. We loved the 'street signs' to tell us how to get to our space. There were carts available for us to load everything from the car to the unit. The units are secure. There is a lot of security on the grounds. Cameras and communication on every floor. Ryan, the assistant manager, was super nice. He was by the book serious, but totally chill about it. We got our insurance handled, got a FREE lock with our Check-in and easy pay. He explained everything to me on the phone prior to getting here, so it was pretty basic to sign up. Definitely would recommend storing here! We feel secure! read more

Beware! They either have a crime ring or the employees are in it because they went through my items and messily "rearranged" the items. I still can't find about 5 items that were in my collection. I am so angry because I know that most my items are new (recently purchased) and some of it looks like it was "borrowed" either to sell or give to their daughter to use. An example is that I have a cheap fashion ring that was in a box and in its original plastic wrapping. I found it in another box unwrapped and in a glass container. I know I never moved it there. I have a matching fashion cheap necklace and I never found it. Don't trust storages. This is my third time renting a storage unit with a different company. They go through your items each time. It's a crime ring. Edit: (this is for the response from the storage) I know which items that have been recently bought and left wrapped up in its original plastic. Sorry that the storage manager is trying to defend from thefts but facts are facts. It was moved and my fashion cheap ring looks used and was found in a glass container UNWRAPPED. Yeah right you're saying a ghost came and rearranged my stuff??!!! Lies from this manager trying to say I have the wrong company! Inside job has access to your units! Renters, beware!! read more

Customer service here is 100%! I'm so impressed by the helpfulness and kindness of all the workers here! My first interaction was with Juan (phone and in-person) he was awesome! Answered all of my questions and was very accommodating and helpful. Then I spoke to Mario a few times on the phone, he was also very nice and helpful. Third person I came into contact with was Brad- another amazing and helpful employee. I've dealt with many storage places before and they are the most professional and helpful people in the storage business. All of this without being pushy or hiding information! Yesterday I rented a 10x10 storage until , upon arrival I had spoken to I believe Juan to ask a couple questions about their monthly promos , currently prices , and to see if it was possible to place a hold on a unit until I were to see it in person . First time ever visiting this storage location and I was very impressed with the customer service I was provided with . I was immediately Greeted by Juan and he helped me with every concern I had and walked me through the storage unit before creating up the contract . After viewing the unit , the whole process was done quickly and super efficient . Once that was completed I began moving my stuff in immediately! The units are pretty nice and definitely reasonably priced !
