Since I have been renting at this storage I have had nothing but excellent service. When I come into the office I am immediately greeted with hello Bart and smiling faces. The facility inside is always kept very clean along with the outside and parking areas. All in all everything about this facility is above great. Clean facility, nice people. BUT, pro tip: if you buy a lock from them (which you pretty much have to do to make sure it fits the door and they don't sell them at hardware stores), make sure you ask them for one IN THE PACKAGE. For some dumb reason they open them and keep them loose behind the front desk in a box to hand out easier. I had $6k worth of music gear vanish from my unit (everything else remained) and the only explanation that makes sense is that someone with access to the building had a copy of the key to my lock. They were nice enough to go through camera footage of the elevators and logs of when my building entry code was used, but nothing showed up. Just make sure to protect yourself because no one else will. read more

They charge you from the day you rent but if you move out early they do not give a refund or discount. Free rent is a myth here. You must pay the whole month's rent. On October 23rd I moved stuff out and took the lock but still wanted to keep the unit until the end of the month, since I paid for it. Because I removed my lock the Company, without any written or verbal approval, locked me out, put their lock on my unit and disabled my code for entry, when I paid through the 31st of the month!!! They charge a full month but if you move out early they collect double rent as they rent it to the next unsuspecting sucker. I get an email of Move Out but they never bothered to call me. I called them and stating I never gave verbal or written authorization for a move out. The person Ken who runs that office told me because I took off the lock they automatically cancel the account, lock it up and disable my access codes. I told him to immediately reinstate the account as I paid through the 31st. He said he can't do that so I called his manager, Mitch and he never bothered to call me back. I went in the next day after 10am and they said "We reinstated your storage your code now works and our lock was removed". I never got a call from Mr IN-Considerate Mitch. If you are a college student do not rent here even though it's close to the college. Go to the place on Lakewood Blvd near the freeway. Public Storage are thieves who collect double rent after you paid a whole month. I put my lock back on and will remove it on the 31st at 4PM so they can't collect double rent. Highest prices in town. read more

Ok so it's clear that Public Storage has a standard business tactic of after 6 months jacking up your rent $50. When I moved into the unit there was someone there who I overheard complaining about this to the girl behind the counter. She was nice about it, and explained the typical response about 'they have no control', the prices are re-evaluated month to month', 'the prices are based on market rate in the area', etc. It's very clear now that it's happened to me as well, exactly 6 months in, that once you're settled in and done with the hassle of moving, then they know they can hit you with the rate increase and you're likely to pay it to avoid moving again. NOT COOL! Reminiscent of my experience with the cable companies. read more

I was impressed at how clean the facility was and how friendly the staff was when she paid her account. He knew I was really hoping for a unit on the first floor for ease and access reasons, and so as soon as one opened up, he let me know and I was able to move locations down to the first floor! I have rented a storage space here since 2011 and I have always been pleased with the cleanliness of the facility and the exceptional service from the staff. Recently I had the unpleasant experience of a fairly contentious divorce, leading to the division of property in the storage space. Juan was so very helpful, kind, understanding and professional. He helped me find another storage unit and walked me though the process of changing ownership on the shared storage. He made a difficult time much easier with his calm and compassionate manner. I would not go anywhere else for my storage needs. The staff here goes beyond their job duties. They care about their customers. And that is very rare these days. Recently rented a second storage unit for our business. Sarah was very pleasant and helpful. I was in and out in about 15minutes.

The storage facility is clean, operating hours are reasonable and the facility appears to be secure. The staff is courteous and responsive and I would rate this storage facility with 5 stars, if you had your own cart. I recently tried to access my storage (I've there less than 1 month) at 4 pm on a Sat. afternoon and couldn't find a cart; I wasn't the only customer cursing about lack of carts. I understand if the parking lot is full but there only 4 cars in the lot and I was one of them. Apparently, they have only 3 carts for 600 units making the storage facility virtually useless on the weekend (even more difficult at month end). I'm not the first complaint and the manager Mitch can't do a thing about this; "our policy is 1 cart for every 200 units". OUTSTANCING CUSTOMER SEREVIEC; my expected response was "sir I take your complaint (and many others) to my management and get an additional 3 carts" or I'll personally procure 3 more carts tomorrow from Lowes or Home Depot and make sure adequate carts are available tomorrow to get reimbursed. I would have vacated the storage facility on the spot if I could have found a cart to move my belongings. read more
