After the hurricane I stopped by the unit to make sure all of my stuff was ok and I found out RATS had moved into my unit. I had been there the day before it hit and there were no issues. I noticed a small hole in the ceiling and was told they are tree rats and that is how they got in. The office wasn't open for several days after I discovered the rats so I put traps in my unit (and caught 4 RATS myself). I called and left a voicemail every day to let them know about the issue and never received a call back. After several days I happened to stop by my unit while it was office to let them know about the rats. They asked me to leave a key so they could let an exterminator in the unit. I told them it was my only key and I would need it back asap. They assured me they put in a rush order and I could collect my key in a day or two. Four days later after once again leaving voicemails I needed to get in the unit so I stopped by the office. I was told by a different employee that they never let anyone in the units and I should have never been asked to leave a key. After all that happened I rushed to move my stuff out. I was told my unit would be prorated and they would work on giving me a partial refund. Public storage does not prorate and still waiting on a partial refund. read more

I paid for a temperature controlled unit and they moved me into a unit knowing the AC is out and I'll be in there for at least 4 days (Friday -Monday) without AC. I have instruments and the Houston humidity will ruin them. Not to mention it was a huge hassle to get the right code of the door even to get in since their automated line told me the wrong code. WASTE OF MONEY, WASTE OF TIME. I wills use for breech of contract. read more

I have been renting from here about six months. They make their prices seems so good, the 1st month free, what they don't tell you they are going to increase your rent at any time or the amount. My rent jump up by $26.00 at one time, from $82.00 to $108.00. As soon as I can I am gonna get my stuff out, I give To the workers!! It's the big Man. read more

I have been at this location 7 years and I have gotten screwed the whole time. In the last 4 years I received a call from office that my storage was broken into, sent pictures to insurance company and received the run around. After that I also have had a water leak and a lot of items got damaged, sent pictures to insurance company, still got the run around. I pay $174 ....yes $174 a month for this storage that I was keeping to hold on to my daughter's items. I go by the storage today for something I been looking for and soon as I opened the door I can tell someone been in it. I called the office and the lady came over to take pictures of the LOCK and to inform me that the insurance will not pay since the lock is not broke. Nobody was worried about my items. She also stated that if someone got in the unit it must've been with my keys..... Again I have been paying alllllll this money for allllll these years to now lie about stuff being missing.....This experience has been the worst. If you have an issue even if it's something like water damage that's not your fault and should be the property issue the insurance is going to ask for pictures and if you have no receipts they will not help you. So who has alllll their receipts for items in storage...not me so all that's been stolen and damaged is just a loss for me and i'm paying $174 a month.....STAY AWAY and NEVER use the insurance it's a scam read more

This location is wonderful. Jerin, she's always helpful and very informative. I do not have a unit at this location but, with Public Storage you can make your payments at any of their locations. Every time I go there she is very polite and eager to assist with my questions and payment needs. I wish the other location was more pleasant and help as Jerin. I wrote a very critical review yesterday after becoming frustrated, and overwhelmed by another increase of the rent of my storage unit. I also wrote about dust and dirt being blown into my unit by those cleaning the access roads inside the facility using leaf blowers, and I felt frustrated by having a unit that was facing the sun limiting my access during the summer months. I also mentioned that I am trying to cope with finding out that my husband has inoperable cancer, and dealing with all that entails. I really didn't expect anyone to respond, and I felt I was just dealing with another 'corporation" that didn't care. Today I was shocked, and pleasantly surprised when I received a call from a representative of Public Storage that actually asked what they could do to make things better for me. Since I have been a long term responsible renter, the representative offered to adjust the rent, and she also told me she would speak with the grounds maintenance crew about aiming the blowers away from the units,, and she told me she would schedule a maintenance person to look at the bottom of the unit door to change the rubber seal. She also told me to please pick up plastic mattress covers from the office to protect my items in the meantime, and she had also looked to see if another unit was available not facing the sun that I could move my storage items to. I was honestly really surprised by the prompt response, and concern, and positive solutions that she offered. Thank you sooo much, Thelma. You made my day, and lightened my burden at this time. If you want to rent a storage unit for a period of time, DO NOT rent one with Public storage. They raise your rent without notice every 6 months. I have rented storage units before with other companies and have NEVER had my rent to go up during the time I rented them and one unit I rented for 10 years. This is the lst time I have rented a Public Storage unit and I will never do it again. NEVER. read more
