Do NOT do business here. My friend rented a storage unit here while she was away on a business trip. Public storage called her to inform her that her unit was broken into and her items were STOLEN. My friend called and asked the business to list me as an authorized user so that I could go check out the damage and see what was stolen. I get there and the property manager Darlene would NOT allow me to go assess the damage for my friend. I asked the manager if she would go look at the damage and provide photos to my friend just so she can figure out what was stolen. The manager had terrible customer service, no empathy for the situation, no answers as to how someone could have broken into the unit. The experience was terrible. Now my friend will come back from her business trip and have to go and find out what was stolen. This place is not safe. read more

You would think I was there in the middle of the day because Juana was totally receptive to renting a unit at that time when many places would have turned me away. Her customer service is beyond reproach and makes you feel valuable. I passed two other Public Storage facilities to come to this one because of Juana. This facility is one of the most organized and clean as it gets. I love Karina and team very nice and very helpful. My 1st day was incredible. Enough room to drive up and drop my stuff off. The hours allowed for the facility are appropriate. I love the promotions that Public Storage provides because it allows you to get financially get organized during this stressful time like 1st 30 days free or 2nd month free. Tremendously helpful. I have rented on off with Public Storage in Chicago/Las Vegas over the past 10 years. I would go to no other place as the others don't offer promos worth renting. read more

They called me the morning of my reservation to confirm, and gave me all direction that my reservation was still confirmed and that I had time to pay before arrival. I had been driving down to Glendale from the Bay Area 6 hours, and by the time I got to Glendale they told me they gave away my reservation and their solution was for me to drive to Monterey Park across the city. I will never rent from this company, careless and staff that were exceptionally disorganized. read more

Dont even try this company, they are just good for first month which is $1. however after some taxes and fees that $1 changes to $22, but still better than $100 a month. I wasn't in states and my brother forgot to cancel my empty storage for 2 months, I got back on Oct 1st and realized I get charge for month of Oct too, so I went there remove the luck and ask for refund just for month of Oct the rest I know is my fault. They told me call customer service, customer service said you should call district manager office, and now it`s been 4 days I'm calling and calling to just get a solid answer can I get a refund or not, left several voice messages, but still nobody call me back yet. I had the storage Space over a year ago, but thought it was time to give her a review. It was awful. I chose the storage space because they had a dollar for the 1st months storage. The 1st day that I came to check out the storage unit I was dealing with a home break in while also trying to move. I scheduled the view at 4 but because of the extreme circumstance came at 2. The woman who was trying to check me in was so perturbed at me coming early I felt as though I had made a huge mistake already. After telling her of the circumstance she seemed uninterested, and after informing me that I would need a lock in order to do any of the paperwork and me not having one on me at the time, I had to come back the next day. It was my mistake, but I was in such a flurry of emotions I simply forgot one.They had one for sale for $12, but I'm not buying a simple lock for $12 especially when I have 1 at home. Even with the extreme circumstance she was unwilling to help. After getting there the next day in the morning I was treated to the viewing, and to be frank the way that they talked about the rules it seemed like they already assumed I was doing something illegal. Simple curt and Short answers of you can't do this, you can't do that, no sleeping here made me feel as though they already thought I was going to sleep there. Poor customer service all around. It's my 1st day reviewing the place, don't treat me like a criminal. After the 1st Month, I noticed that I was not only charged full price of a $100, but was also charged a late feet. When I inquired about the fee they told me that I not opted not to pay the 1 dollar 1st month fee and that was why they charged me so much. That's ridiculous because I paid over $40 for the 1st month of installment fees, of course I would have payed the $1. After 2 months I was so frustrated with a place that had decided to move my stuff out. In the process Of moving they again treated me like a criminal. They followed me around, and yelled at me When I tried to put a Box and never cycle been. I know it's a rule but you should try to find a better way Of informing people of the rules. Especially when it was very obvious that I was having trouble in the 1st place. But the worst part, the absolute worst part, was that in order to move my stuff in a cart I had to give them my driver's license. I gave them my driver's license and a 1/2 an hour later when I came to pick it backup, they gave me the wrong license. There was no way they could have mistaken me for this other person, so I feel it was on purpose. So I had to leave their with no driver's license And had to come back weeks later when they finally found it. This place made what was already a difficult ordeal even more frustrating. Not only i not coming back to this particular site, I'm not using any public storage for anything else any itger time. with so many other options out there I would suggest everyone do the same. read more

I am not going to lie. I have had a worse experience than this in dealing with a business once in my life. But only once. These people literally charged me a hundred bucks more than what the lady at the counter said she was charging me and they have refused to return it. I called the corporate number, i tried everything, they will not return it. Started off with the "$1 for a month deal" wound up stuck with numerous $400 payments; the last one I was one day late and had to pay for an extra week for them to remove the padlock. in any event, the extra $100 jip was the kicker. time to give up. just thought i should express my frustration [my fault for not throwing my junk away in the first place]. Water damage! Very poor customer service in response. The facility took ZERO responsibility. Offered us a different space to move into (on the spot--we'd just stopped by to get something out, so that was not an option) but they made no attempt to really make it right. They don't hesitate to raise rent every year, though. I do not recommend renting from this place. read more

Raffi & Tarcila saved me when I was half-way across the United States and without a place to store a 26' moving truck of household items. They were able to provide 2 large spaces next to each other on short notice (our home plans temporarily fell through). They made signing up for the spaces easy and fast so I could have my hired crew off-load all the truck contents in short order. Even though we won't be staying long-term (we found a different house that DID work out), we're very grateful they came through for us. So I moved here from Chicago, and couldn't find a place right away to store half my belongings (including furniture). I figure no problem; that's what public storage is for. WRONG! Used their service, and half my belongings were stolen. The lady at the front desk informed me that there have been a slew of burglaries at this location, yet they didn't contact their customers to inform them. Bottom line is I had over $2k in merchandise stolen, not to mention some very sentimental items and received a check for $400 and some change in return. Welcome to L.A. Public Storage has plenty of complaints on them. Please do a search on how many people have been burglarized and the company then sells their stuff while they and the police are trying to investigate the thefts. The insurance won't pay off nor will the company pay for failing to protect and keep your property secure. Lawsuits are filed and going forward. Rip Off Report has many more stories about this company. Public Stage also increases your rates within a few months of being a client. If you need long term storage...GO ANY WHERE ELSE BUT PUBLIC STORAGE. If you stay long term you'll be paying at least 50% more in storage fees. I called to make a reservation for this facility and I was shocked when I found out that the price that I have originally got changed!!!! apparently they change their prices daily according to Juana who gives me attitude and was not too helpful. Also, it is ridiculous that you make a reservation for a particular day but they won't guarantee that you will get the unit!!! So what's the point of making the reservation??? Another thing people should be aware so you don't get rip off is that they are not transparent when they call you and confirm the reservation. They want you to buy a lock "which you can keep afterwards" but they never mentioned the price when they call you. I find that poor customer service it's actually fishy and makes me feel that I can't trust this company because they hide their extra fees. You can bring your own lock but they don't tell you that because they want to sell you more stuff... also their boxes are too expensive you find it for half the price at Home Depot read more

I've had my unit for four years and have always paid before the due date. This month I was told I was late and had to pay $115.00 (not my normal monthly fee of $134.00, which I had already paid). I showed management their own receipt that I had paid $134.00 for September 26 - October 26. It didn't matter that I showed them their own receipt for the payment or that I also showed them the four years of payments they emailed me, again showing that I had paid for September on the 18th, long before it was due. I paid the $115.00 because they would not unlock the unit until I did. I also reported the extortion to my bank and took their advice to contact BBB and state authorities. DO NOT USE THIS STORAGE FACILITY IN SPARKS, NV ON EL RANCHO RD. NEW MANAGEMENT IS DUMB AS A SACK OF ROCKS. EXTORTION IS A CRIME! read more

Just moved to LA from NYC with a 16 foot truck full of stuff but still didn't have a place to live so we decided to store it. Whatever you do, don't leave anything you care about here. After an embarrassing number of years paying way too much for storage, I discovered a few weeks ago that my space had been burglarized. Someone had replaced my lock with another that looked like it, also with a "Public Storage" sticker on it. Whoever did that had all the time in the world to come and go, rifle through everything, steal the valuable stuff, and even steal some stuff that only had sentimental value. I immediately started moving out, and 3 weeks later after most of the stuff was out I went back to find that my new lock had been broken and a few of the remaining items were missing. 2 burglaries in 3 weeks - either I'm very "lucky" or there's a rampant burglary problem there. What has me really angry is that through this whole ordeal the staff has been anything but helpful. Obviously, they won't take responsibility for anything, but they don't even seem that concerned or sympathetic. And they expected to be paid full price for everything, like a locksmith or new lock - no gesture to soften the blow. I've spent a fortune at this place and it doesn't make any difference at all. They do not care. And they really don't seem to care that they have a real crime problem on their premises, so be forewarned. read more

If I could give them no starts I would... this company steals people's money in the most legal way... when you sign up in these hard times going through a last minute move and need a place to put your stuff in for the next couple weeks and sign up with them till you figure it out, within not even 20 minutes getting a call from the owner of the apartment being kind and telling you you can move right in and don't have to wait.. forget about your money they won't give it back because you signed a contract... even though it's hard times and your out of work barely making it... the regional manage Phillip calls you to kindly tell you there's nothing he can do lol they steal legally nice 20 min and your moneys gone be careful if this happens change your bank card number and take it off of auto pay not to get another 125$ taken out even though you never even went there from the beginning. Government should shut you all down for stealing legally and having 10 page rules and regulations to sign for a damn storage. read more

Thank you Juana and Public Storage! I recently spent a day driving around, looking for a deal on a safe storage facility close to Los Angeles. Pricing was just right and so were the warm smiles in the office. I live a few hours away from the location and recently had myself a little situation. After leaving Public Storage, making the long drive home, I realized that I could not remember whether or not I'd locked up my unit. I called Public Storage right away to voice my concern. I was assured that I had nothing to worry about. Within 5 minutes I received a call from the office, letting me know that everything was locked up. I had my unit burglarized at this location. It was an interior upper floor unit and there were several others broken into. At the time this happened I was offered no credit and even had to pay for the month. My unit was left unlocked due to the break in damage to the lock for part of the month as well.
