So much for caring about your customers and their loyalty to their business. I would never recommend this business. I used this storage space prior to Self Storage Plus acquiring the business, and much prefer the previous owner who did not rip you off like this.

She tried to transfer me to another ground floor unit but none were available although it was advertised online as 3 being available. She tried to transfer me to upstairs level which I did not want. I requested for a refund and she said the $29 admin fee was non refundable. Plus she can only refund me the charge for the lock Today. The remaining $127 will be refunded once she submits and gets approval from corporate office. the unit is still showing as active on my account and the same 3 units are still advertised online as being available as of now.

So I moved my things out but they charged me for a full month rent for one of the bays which was over $600! Sizes and location can be tricky. * Watch out: They have a $9 insurance monthly plan that is not mandatory after the first month. They tend to FORGET that you don't want it. My wife was visibly shaken. The clerk's only response was "If somebody is standing in front of me with money in hand, I'm not going to tell them no!" To remedy the situation, they offered 2 smaller units (1 climate controlled, one not) that would add up to the same square footage as the one (climate controlled) they sold away. When my wife asked if she could be charged the price of the single unit we were supposed to get, they said it was not an option. We will use CubeSmart instead.

I had only had this lease for 3 months before they jacked up the prices. No excuse was given to me by "Jessica" for the rate increase and she offered me a different unit for the same price of $110 a month. She later stated that per the lease they can raise the storage rate after 6 months. I haven't even been there 6 months. She further stated that a letter was mailed out to me in February. Well I was deployed for the entire month of February and the mail was held. No letter from them was ever received. I told her that and she did not have a reply. This is a shady business practice.
