She tried to transfer me to another ground floor unit but none were available although it was advertised online as 3 being available. She tried to transfer me to upstairs level which I did not want. I requested for a refund and she said the $29 admin fee was non refundable. Plus she can only refund me the charge for the lock Today. The remaining $127 will be refunded once she submits and gets approval from corporate office. the unit is still showing as active on my account and the same 3 units are still advertised online as being available as of now.

My wife was visibly shaken. The clerk's only response was "If somebody is standing in front of me with money in hand, I'm not going to tell them no!" To remedy the situation, they offered 2 smaller units (1 climate controlled, one not) that would add up to the same square footage as the one (climate controlled) they sold away. I had only had this lease for 3 months before they jacked up the prices. No excuse was given to me by "Jessica" for the rate increase and she offered me a different unit for the same price of $110 a month. She later stated that per the lease they can raise the storage rate after 6 months. I haven't even been there 6 months. She further stated that a letter was mailed out to me in February. Well I was deployed for the entire month of February and the mail was held. No letter from them was ever received. I told her that and she did not have a reply. This is a shady business practice.

The price quoted was reasonable; I was offered 2 movers or 3 movers (different prices of course). I picked the 3 movers and I'm glad I did! The team showed up shortly after 8a (though to be fair the email said between 8 and 9a). They came with a 26 foot truck, shrink wrap, furniture blankets, tape, and bubble wrap. In all it took about 4 hours to move me from a 2nd floor 2 bedroom apartment to a 3rd floor 2 bedroom down the road. They really are workhorses - somehow they were all able to trek up and down the stairs repeatedly without seeming winded at all (which is incredible bc I went up and down the stairs without anything over 8 pounds yesterday probably 46 times and was EXHAUSTED). I'd highly recommend AAM for their care, expeditiousness, fair price, and friendly service!!
