No access code to get to the unit. No employee. There's a helpdesk number that goes straight to VM. Garbage service.

Moved out of Public Storage/Fishers on 118th Street after 2 years. We had mold over the summer, along with another tenant whom we met at the end of our ground floor row after 2 months only. Mold on wood furniture, in suitcases, and other item. Insurance would not cover-was not an "event" that caused the mold. Climate control, does Not compensate for humidity. I was told by the manager that "we store at our own risk-like being hit by an uninsured motorist." We had a reputable Mold Remediation Company do an onsite assessment on 8/12/25. He was shocked at how hot it was and his meter showed double the humidity levels to keep out mold. We were told that there was no system failure, yet mold was found in at least 2 units. Lots of damage! I could have saved the $400 a month and stored our furniture and Christmas decor in my garage! I called the Hamilton County Health Department, who have received complaints in the past. I was told it would be checked out, but no follow up as of yet. Mold can be very dangerous and my hands would itch after being in the unit cleaning it out. Our items are currently being cleaned by a mold remediation company at our own cost. Public Storage is a scam. Rent goes way up, but quality and safety go down. Not a safe environment. read more

Buyer/renter beware. The online special for a 5x10 unit is $32 per month. I rented a 5x10 in 2020 at $40 per month. they drastically increase the price every 6 to 12 months. (always just seems on a whim, first increase was just 6 months or so after renting unit, the specials seem so scammy when that rent doesn't last long.) Long story short, the new increase starting march 1st for my unit is $115 per month they plan on sticking me. Totally absurd. If you are renting for 6 months or less then you should be ok. If you want longer than that and don't want your rent per month to TRIPLE in less than 4 years I would highly suggest looking else where. Now off to empty out my unit and get out of this ridiculous payment. read more

David the staff member on duty was amazing! Always very helpful and friendly. The issue I had was with the business itself. They took my rent up $60 in less than a year of being there which was excessive. Property was very clean and I felt very secure leaving my things. read more

Renter beware of deceptive and unreasonable price increases. What started as a $67 payment for a small 5x10 unit has increased to $126.

After selling my home, I needed additional storage once I filled up a portable unit with another company. I chose this facility because the location is near the area that I'm currently looking for a new house. Also, I previously used this company (although under another name and different location) 15 years ago without any problems. Found a decent rate online, $1 first month $46 thereafter. Of course other fees are tacked on including a cylindrical lock for $20 and a one time administrative fee of $24. By April I was moved in without any problems. While moving stuff in, I saw the property manager walking the grounds and checking each building. In May, I noticed a piece of the side roof was missing near the peak creating a gap and birds were flying in the hole. By June 2, a piece of the side roof was hanging down near the door the the building and flapping in the wind. I was surprised to see the piece still hanging a week later on June 7. It was definitely a safety hazard. I stopped by the front desk to complain. The property manager was aware of the issue and was waiting on the corporate office to fix it. She assured me that she would contact them again and alert them of my complaint. I returned a month later on July 7, to find the dangling piece was removed, but the hole was still there, and birds were still seeking shelter. Once again I reported the issue to the front desk. On a return trip, July 20, I noticed the siding had been replaced and the hole was covered. All is well. On Aug 29, I was notified that my monthly payment was increasing by an additional $12 a month effective 10/1. I never received an increase when I previously rented from them albeit 15 years ago, so I don't know if this is common, but it's worth noting. My other storage unit(different company) pricing has remained the same. read more

The facility seems nice, but the door to the 8 1/2 x 19 1/2' climate controrage facility was only 35 inches wide. To my knowledge we couldn't find anything on the website that stated the door was that narrow as the majority the doors we'd seen in the past were the size of a regular garage door. This made it more difficult to get everything inside although ultimately everything fit. It would've been much better had this somehow been disclosed to us as we might have taken a different storage unit with a larger door read more

COVID-19 has obviously thrown a wrench in a lot of people's plans, and I'm one of those people. In the span of 7 days I considered, decided, and finalized breaking my lease on the East Coast to move back home with family. Public Storage not only attracted me with way better prices than most of the other facilities in Fishers, but when I checked in with Kia yesterday she could not have been more helpful and kind. This is my first time renting a storage unit, and the process was seamless, cost-effective, and transparent. Highly recommend for any low key storage needs. read more

Trish and Linda are great! I've never had a negative experience at this storage location. It's no-hassle, easy to access, and very clean and tidy. They maintain the cleanliness in the gated areas as well. I don't know that I've ever seen trash out and about. Ropes to raise the doors are always in reasonable condition considering their constant exposure to the elements. Keep up the great work, ladies! read more

There is way too many "Cons" versus " Pros" at this facility. *Cons* 1.) They don't allow you to have 24 hr. access to your belongings. This is an issue for several reasons. One being, sometimes people work strange hours and will need to move their items in or out at night time instead of the daytime. 2.) They do not prorate. If you plan on moving out a few days after the 1st of the month, you will still have to pay for the entire month of storage. But somehow, they are able to prorate when you are moving in during the middle of the month (go figure). 3.) Your first month is not just $1. You will be charged $20 for a lock they leave inside the storage unit upon renting it. Which btw they go ahead and open said lock, I'm assuming to make things easier for you. But now has completely eliminated their so-called return policy if you wanted to supply your own lock instead. Then you will also be charged a $24 ONE TIME "administration fee". 4.) They force you to purchase insurance. Despite the fact that it's your stuff and willing to sign a waiver releasing them from any responsibility. 5.) The gate is always open when I arrive and when I'm leaving the unit. How is this protecting my items that you won't even let me have access to after 9pm but random people walking in the area (who see the gate is once again broken) do? Doesn't make sense at all. 6.) They don't offer any type of trash disposal. Really? 7.) The gate code box is not convenient at all. Each time you run the risk of scratching your vehicle on the cement poles they have sitting next to it. Or you have to get completely out of your vehicle in order to reach the box. My advice is to go somewhere else. I will never rent from them again. They are greedy and only look out for their best interest not the consumers. read more

Go to any storage place but this one!! When I initially rented my storage unit, the young guy in the office was very polite and helpful, however, when it was time for first automatic payment, a women called my phone 3 times like it was an emergency to let me know something had happened during the transaction- I informed her the payment was pending in my account, but a few days later it no longer showed as pending. I tried to contact them multiple times and no response- I was charged a $20 late fee for a issue on there end. I reached out to customer service in regards to having the late fee waived and they sent back an immediate email, stating they reviewed my account and cannot waive the fee- there was no way they reviewed anything in the minute I submitted the request to when the email came. I've been a tenant at this facilty since 4/2014 and my unit rent was $142. My October invoice is for $171..........that is a 21% increase in monthly rent! Watch out with this facility if this is how they do business! It is a shame, the people that work in the office are awesome, very friendly and work hard to make their clients happy. read more

Hated this place. The property manager forced me make an appointment for the day I was to move in to fill out paperwork. I did and on my way there, she called and said she was going to be 30 more minutes because she was at another location. The hours state they are open until 5, why isn't someone there during business hours? Especially when you force someone to tell you what time they will be at the office. I found a better, less expensive storage down the road (and locally owned- Allisonville Self Storage) so I set a date to move out online bc nobody would answer during business hours nor would they return my calls. I don't recommend this place at all. read more

Just rented a storage unit today. Both Linda and Veronica were very helpful. They advised us on what size unit to get and it was just right. They helped cut and place plastic on the floor of the unit to keep the furniture clean and dry. My only complaint was the mandatory insurance and the fact that I had to purchase a $20 lock that fits specifically this facility. Be aware that you will incur these additional charges. read more

All the staff at this store went above and beyond to help me find what I needed including contacting other locations and helping me look for best rates on line. I ended up renting elsewhere...for a day. Bad experince, so I got on-line and reserved a unit here and moved in today. And by getting on-line to do so, I got a comparable price. My April 2018 experience at this Public Storage facility in Fishers, IN was fabulous at a very busy and stressful time for me. I reserved on line and went in the next day. Linda was welcoming, sincere and very efficient. She didn't miss one necessary detail. She even recommended something for my particular unit (a tarp for the floor) and I was able to purchase at a very reasonable price right there at the Public Storage office. The unit I am renting is at a competitive rate and in a good location on the property. Very convenient and easy to get to and use. Linda made sure I had all the information sent to me via email; I easily set up my account so I could view at anytime on line. She made sure I understood everything - payments, move out requirements, security, gate info. Time nowadays is almost if not more important than money and I feel Public Storage saved me both. Biggest selling point of a company is the people that work for you and Public Storage has a winner in Linda. read more
