An excellent storage facility. The rental process is very fast and easy. I was very lucky to have Mr.Erroll Robinson to guide me through the signing of the contract. He was friendly and very helpful, patient in showing me the deferents sizes so i can choose the right one. I definitely recommend this facility to anyone looking for a convenient storage facility. the place is very clean. I feel confident that my belongings are stored in a clean a safe environment. read more

While my contract states that rates may increase with 30 days' notice, the issue is not simply that prices went up. The issue is the pattern. Public Storage continues to advertise units -- including units identical to mine -- at significantly lower rates on their website, while simultaneously raising my rent after just a few months. This creates what feels like a classic bait-and-switch structure. If the lower pricing is truly an introductory rate, it should be clearly and transparently labeled as such. Instead, the advertised prices appear as standard rates, drawing customers in at one expectation and then escalating shortly after move-in. Even more concerning, these "lower" rates remain publicly advertised while existing tenants are charged substantially more for the same unit size and location. That is misleading and undermines consumer trust. Providing 30 days' notice does not automatically make a pricing practice fair or ethical. Transparency matters. Consistency matters. Advertising one price while routinely charging another shortly thereafter is problematic. Consumers deserve clarity -- not pricing strategies that feel engineered to secure commitment before increasing costs. read more

Had a great experience at Public Storage. Very clean and the customer service communication is excellent. Easy to move things in and out with the free dollies you can use in the lobby. Also a shout out to staff member Errol at the front desk. He was always helpful and polite -- his cheerful disposition was appreciated! read more

The good: It's clean, and in a nice neighborhood. The bad: They WILL jack up your monthly rate. Not just once, but on a regular basis. In the 4 years since I rented my unit, the monthly rate has TRIPLED. They do not offer annual contracts, only month-to-month. BUYER BEWARE! read more

PROS: Easy to access from main ROAD. Clean and new facility at the time I rented. Nice staff. CONS: The rooms I rented (10x20 and 7.5 x10) each had a 1ft support beam included in the rented space. (3 sides of the sq support beam). Additionally, excluding the support beams, my rooms were short about 5in in width and a couple of inches in depth. read more

I made a reservation online, and due to a problem with their website, I was unable to complete the reservation online. I had been assigned to space, and was proceeding through all of the required documentation when I got an error message. I called and texted with a tech-support rep who said that I needed to go to the property to complete the reservation. I went to the property, to find the door unlocked. And, I called the number that the recording gave me and was connected with customer service after a very long wait. I spoke with a very rude and arrogant individual who was making excuses as to why a property manager was not on site. I was specifically asked if I wanted to come Cancel the reservation and I said that I did not want to cancel the reservation. I returned to a computer, and attempted to access the reservation again, and received a message that I had canceled it. I had not. And the only person who brought up cancellation was the gentleman whom I had just spoken to on the phone. And, I use the term gentleman loosely, because for someone who works in customer service they are skills were sorely lacking. I called and spoke with the sales person who said that the rate had changed from what I had ordered online. And, they did not have access to reinstate the rate, but transferred me to another customer service person who attempted to do so as well. Unfortunately, she could not reinstate the reservation, but both of them were professional, and courteous. One of them did take down the information That I had spoken about how I was treated on the phone and just summarily canceled for questioning their Pat answers, because I come to find out that this location is not staffed, and that you need to make an appointment. So, his assertion that they were on a bank run or somewhere on the property, was completely false. He never said that there was a non-staffed location, nor did I get directed to another location they could help me. And there are others around me. There were some decent people that I spoke to. The entire experience has left a very negative imp expression of public storage, and this location in particular. I do not see why I should have to pay $85 more a month simply because I called to inquire and someone was obviously having a bad day such that out of spite, they canceled my reservation. However, I was informed that all phone calls are recorded and it will be shown that I was not told. This was a non-staffed location, and I said that I did not wish to cancel my reservation. I reached out to the general manager, but have not heard back from them either. So, I'm taking my business to the storage place across the street from this location. I will caution anyone who is thinking of doing business business with this location because it's not staffed and if you have a problem, it's an endless array of customer service personnel, some of whom are quite rude and nasty to potential customers. I got the message that public storage does not want the business, so I'm left with that taste in my mouth, and I have told other people in my family some of them are going to be moving back from college and things like that in the next few months and need to store furniture before they get their first townhouse apartment not to use Public storage Because I I don't know how someone who can be that spiteful and nasty is employed they don't even tell the customer calling that it's a non-staffed location. I would have understood that completely and would have been appreciated being redirected to a staff location. They could help me or making an appointment with someone to meet me there. I've not offered the opportunity to do so. I have reached out to make sure that I'm not going to get any phantom bills because I want to be sure that this is done and canceled because I did receive a unit space number. However, I have yet to hear back from anyone regarding that after leaving a message at the office. So, my advice is if you do deal with this company, be wary and find a location that has a staff or one that actually cares to return calls to Potential customers or even customers that they have lost to try to save face. There are a ton of storage companies, so one does not have to put up with such a lack of customer care. read more

DO NOT RENT WITH THIS COMPANY.  They practice the"bait-and-switch" method.   I've had a unit for one year and the price increased twice and has increased more than $100 dollars in less than a year. I started out @ $268 for a 10x20, then it increased to $333 within a few months and is now at $387. They keep increasing the rate every few months.  I plan to get rid of it as soon as I return to the States. They try to pacify you with the promise of a rate decrease but you get rejected within an hour. I guess paying the rent on time, having two units with the company gets you no benefits whatsoever. When I was renting, I spoke with two people who were moving to a new storage company due to the constant rate increases. This storage unit company is gouging people. Go with a company with a lease rate. Public Storage are month to month. read more

Had a terrible experience with Public Storage in Fairfax on Draper Drive. I put some things in my unit at 8:50 PM and tried to leave at 9:02 PM and they locked me in! That's right, they didn't let me leave! Imagine that! Almost a hostage taking. Luckily, I had my phone with me and figured out a number to call to get out - although I was on hold for something like 30 minutes. But what if I had left my phone home? What if I had a medical emergency? What if I was being threatened by someone? This is an unsafe place, don't rent here. read more

From start to finish this Public Storage location was top notch. Jackie, the Mgr was extremely courteous, helpful, and quick to get back to me with any inquiries I had. The facility is impeccably clean and securely gated, with ample loading docks and parking. Rates were better than other storage options and so far I am extremely happy with choosing them. read more

I had initially contacted the storage facility were I had a unit, CubeSmart, to inquire about getting a larger space. The cost was extremely high compared to what the market is and considering I had a unit for over a decade, there was no consideration. I looked into other options and found a Public Storage online which is directly across the street. I got the size I need for 30% less than what i have been paying for a smaller unit. Easy signup online, all forms were electronic...no paper needed. Literally within minutes I received a call from Jackie to welcome me and explain the next steps in leasing the unit (entry procedures, hours, etc.). I planned to move in the next day, and no issues with that either. As this is a brand new building, it is clean, great shape and modern. And I really like the online functionality. If you are in need of a storage unit...this is the place!! read more

The facility is clean and the service is good. However, Public Storage bought out ezStorage not long ago and has jacked the price up more than 72% in the span of about a year! Really ridiculous! I will be moving my things out asap. read more

just for courtesy one star otherwise this location deserves o star, let me come to real topic, I visited this location Mon , Nov 18,2024, roundabout 11 to 12,00 clock, I entered into facility said hello asked to customer service agent how are you, while this was his job to welcome customer doesn't matter where ever I enter I am always first to say hello , agent never responded to my courtesy, making long strange faces looked like he was not comfortable with me, any how I asked him my first question, do you rent storage as I need to park my motorbike, he in a very rude unprofessional way said no, so after his worst negative unprofessional behaviour I stepped out of facilty, now, went to another storage company at Pickett road and rented a big storage for my huge stuff and my motorbike, my question to storage owner is how come you hire a Mafia boss at customer service, who does not know how to talk, respond, welcome a customer, somessage to storage owner is it took me only 30 minutes to rent storage with another company and this all happened because your agent at this location at 3180 Draper drive Fairfax va was an idiot, nonsence, senseless, rude unprofessional person, so you loose a customer, I my family, friends, relatives none of them including me would never ever enter into facility of Public Storage of Fairfax va, worst experience read more

The customer service is awesome! My son, who worked for a moving company a couple summers during college, said moving our stuff into an upstairs unit was a DREAM!
