If I didn't need a storage unit for such a short amount of time while we are moving, I would have left before even moving anything into my unit. We get there and my code worked just fine to enter the gate but when trying to get in the building it didn't. I found an employee that was driving around a golf cart -- he said he would fix it. Well, another 20-30 minutes go by of my husband and I trying to get this code to work -- neither the code nor the app were doing anything. After repeatedly telling this employee that i've tried the app, the code, getting a new code made...all he did was question me, tell me this has never happened to anyone else before and looked at me like I'm a totally idiot. My response to him was, "guess I'm just lucky then." *insert eye roll*. He also told me I could call customer service, when I went to get the number from him he said he didn't have it, I've have to get it from the office and then drove off. What a complete sh*t show of an establishment. They're literally only getting 2 stars because the employee that was so rude and dismissive to me ended up calling me hours later with the customer service number. We cancelled our unit over the phone the day after we opened the unit realizing our financial situation had altered. We accepted the one dollar charge a month. They are now making us jump through hoops to cancel our unit, they only take "appointments" this way they can charge people without repercussions. Just so you know they are no longer a legitimate business they have one goal to steal. The last time we got through to a person they said they would call me back in an hour this was not the truth. Find another storage unit and don't trust this company I know I'll never make that mistake again!!! read more

I will have my unit six months and they've raised my rate three times for a total of 27%. I was storing a vehicle so I dropped it off and then returned six months later so I am the definition of a low maintenance customer. Horrible business practices. read more

Front office people on site are nice but it ends there. Numerous complaints to upper management (District Manager) about no light in hallways are ignored. Without light the unit is nearly unusable. Parking lot is beat up, over grown trees, foam filler used to patch gaping holes. And finally, after 3 months they raise your rates by 17%. Over 1/4 of my rental time here has been without lights, ridiculous. read more

So incredibly disappointing - another rate increase - and they pulling services, adding nothing, taking more away and huge increases. I am leaving, ASAP - I have 2 huge units for 3 years - 10x20 and 10x30 and there is no customer service, no loyalty program - only increases. It started as a very clean location, with great front office when it was Beyond Storage - I LOVED it !!!! and referred many. Warning: Do not rent from this location unless you like poor communication, your things will be put up for auction if you miss your bill by a week. They will lie about notifications because there will be none. Taking your money, tacking on excessive amounts of fees, and selling your things before you realize it's going up for auction is what they do best. I rented my storage unit near closing time the end of October. All the fees and extra charges made me wary, but I didn't plan to rent for long. The staff said I would be notified of my next bill. One month later, I didn't receive a bill, email or phone call and became worried. So I called public storage inquiring why I didn't receive a bill and was wondering how much I owed. That was when I was notified that my things was going up for auction in 1.5 weeks and it was already posted in the papers. (It had been 1 week since my rental due date.) I asked why wasn't I noticed. The manager said the note states "The staff had spoken and left a message with a women". My name is Alexis and I am a man. Therefore I can see how that lie of a "note" could have been fabricated. No email was sent, no phone call. (I checked my phone records and emails just to make sure.) The manager said my bill would have been $20, but I didn't pay it. So my things were being auctioned off. Not only that but they tacked on late fees, listing fees, more fees. She also stated that I DECLINED AUTO PAY, but I was never asked, that could have been because they were rushing to close that first night. I asked how much would it be if I removed my things tomorrow. And got my things out of storage the next day after they had been removed from lock down. I will never use public storage again. I HOPE THIS REVIEW WILL HELP OTHERS. Please read the fine print and call them before your monthly rental is due because their communication is nonexistent. Sitting outside smoking when I came to inquire. I don't know how these place generally work, but seemed like a lot of people and or family waiting around..do they all live there? We had purchased a storage unit here for a few months while we were in the process of moving. We started mid month and were given an idea of how the charges worked, but no indication of how they would be paid. We assumed they would send us a bill, or the monthly charge would be auto deducted from our card as the next months payment came due. We received neither of these so checked the day the payment was due to find a $30 late fee had been applied. Keep in mind, this was the DAY the payment was DUE. Not after, not outside of a grace period. When we called the location, the person answering the phone was incredibly rude and threatened to put our unit on auction instead of providing any semblance of customer service whatsoever. Hopefully we'll be able to straighten this issue out with a supervisor because the service was absolutely appalling. I would not recommend using this location/company. read more

Staff was friendly & awesome, very accomodating & understanding, A+ on customer service!! Only thing they could do better with is the driving space around the units. People were parked in & it was sort of a mess getting out of there after unloading due to the fact that there were several other people unloading at the site the same time I was. Made for some close quarters. A separate lane for driving & a separate lane for loading would be nice. Overall, the storage unit was very clean and dry, very large space, price was very reasonable. read more

With the first month $1 special and fees and such for the rest of the time, it was pretty cheap, way less than I would have paid to have my moving company hold my stuff until I was officially moved. Beware! Look Somewhere else. Its not worth the headache. I was forced to move during the covid19 pandemic, and lost work. I used this storage unit for 1 month and moved out 2 days before the end of the rental period. Everything was to be out by before the 1st, and it was. However the individual who checked me in failed to mention the lock they gave me to use was Purchased. I did not know that. They wanted me to bring the lock in to them. Well I left the lock in the locker by mistake thinking it was their lock. after I did not get notification on the 1st. I came in on the 3rd to get the lock and turn it in to them. They told me its too bad and i have to pay for another month because it was my lock and they couldnt access the unit. Even though i was vacated before the first i thought the lock was theirs. Deceiving sales practices. Flat out neglected mentioning vital info. I tried calling to reason with them. Since we are out of work during this pandemic. They were rude and did not care. Now they want me to pay over $120 for an empty locker? What a joke. There is no way.Honestly the place is slimey and not worth your time. read more
