I was in three (!) 30 ft deep X 13 ft high X 10 ft wide units with public storage. $$$.... Now it is down to two. This took (3) four week trips from FL. In 1.5 years. Donated everything to Salvation Army St Paul. Husband became extremely ill eleven years ago. We are in a lovely FL. condo he inherited. MISS Minnesota... people, culture, weather - - LOVE the cold!!!! I now have two brand newly built extra large units at Forest Lake - - grabbed them quickly for they rented out super fast. Great price. New wood pallets on entire floor. Never have water in these units, very high airy ceilings with great ventilation. Yes no heat no air conditioning so no fragile furniture, vinyl, wood, etc, but I put clothing etc in tight giant contractor extra thick plastic bags into tight big Costco ( yellow black) plastic storage boxes ( the Best/ shut very tight). I will be out of a second 30 ft unit at public storage after 1-2 more four week trips. Back breaking work - - am creating a new industry of folk buying my things at Salvation Army then flipping them online! We always expected to be in Mn but the condo's living costs are better than renting today. Goal is to find a solid 1 bedroom in MN, build out to be able to remain until I pass on, rent out FL condo. Reverend Jim the manager is the best, the kindest man you could ever ever find and work with. No bugs no rodents all these years. Immaculate rest room at office, safe secure, no crazies renting ' next door'. Women working there solo feel 100 % safe. High fence with barbed wire surround the large rural country property. Nice relaxing 30 minute drive up from the twin cities. Highly highly highly recommend!!

It was dirty, full of feathers, bird poop, spiders and stunk like motor oil. The door came off the hinges and they had limited access hours. We needed an additional storage unit and found Tim at FL Mini Storage to be super helpful. We ended up liking it so much we talked to Tim about getting a bigger unit. He came through and we moved all our belongings from the other storage facility. Tim was terrific to work with and the units are clean, secure and they offer 24-hour access. We always feel safe, and we appreciated the location is easy to get to. If you need storage for the short, or long term, we highly recommend FL Mini Storage.

The second time, my things were dragged outside by the thieves and left out in the rain. The storage managers moved them into another unit. I had to pay for new boxes to rebox everything and throw away things that were damaged by the rain. A mattress was soaked by rain and ruined. I was informed that there is no dumpster on site and forced to put the wet mattress back into the unit. After the second time that they unit was broken into by cutting through the lock supplied by management, I was given a heavy duty lock usually reserved for lock outs for people that haven't paid their bills. My things were stored in this unit for three years. When I removed them recently, I found that much of what I had stored had to be thrown away . 1) These units are not climate controlled. It is my fault for not thinking about how the elements would affect what was in the unit. Wrap everything that you own in plastic/vacuum seal it if possible. Everything in the unit had mold on it. I was able to salvage what could be washed. Everything else had to be thrown away. Pictures, appliances, furniture. All thrown away. 2) Everything in the unit smelled heavily of gasoline/fuel. It permeated anything that was porous. Fabric, paper, furniture. Everything smells like gasoline. It cannot just be aired out. It all required heavy cleaning. The cost of storing items in these storage units will not be worth it when you have to throw most of if it due to mold and gasoline smell.

Unfortunately, the code we were given didn't work at all! Several people tried entering it and it never worked to open the gate. We tried get a hold of someone at the business but nobody answered. We left a message for the business about the issue and to return the call and nobody ever called back. We ended up having to call UHaul's main support hub and they reserved a vehicle at a UHaul across town. In total, we wasted almost 2 hours trying to get this truck.

The movers were late arriving to our house due to a catalytic converter theft on the truck, but they called ahead of the earliest scheduled arrival time and let us know what was going on. The administration, however, was awful. We put in our statement/assessment of our stuff that would be moved across town. The final price was about $300 over our quote even though we ended up having fewer items to move. We had some large pieces of furniture that may have taken longer, but that was all included in our original quote. We even moved a few large and light items ahead of time to make sure things would go smoothly. Additionally, it took almost one month for the appointment deposit to be refunded to my partner's credit card. It isn't clear if we we're charged for the first part of the move when the movers were waiting for a new truck to arrive since there was theft on the original truck. I would give the administrative side of this 0 stars. I'd honesty rather just contact the two me. Who moved our stuff next time to do it independently. I cannot state enough how great they were with the move.
