I began renting in May 2024. After a couple of months they jacked my rent up over $75 which I did not have in my budget so every month I struggle to pay and usually cannot until the end of the month when my second check comes in. For whatever reason I am unable to pay any type of payment online, so I am stuck paying when they are open and I've stopped several times to pay the bill only to walk up and the office be closed. In turn making my payment later. Due to the issues with not being able to pay online and the office not being open I was finally able to make the December payment on January 2 which prompted a phone message January 3 that my storage unit will be auctioned. So let me get this straight I am not months behind I am now not at all behind until close of business today and that would only be January rent. You have shady business practices and are not honest people. read more

like a well oiled machine. Michelle is militant in her approach to keeping this facility clean and operating to the specifications and guidelines set forth by I'm assuming corporate standards. She crosses every "t" and dots every "i" and it's impressive to watch. I recently rented three units and they were very welcoming and yet stern about regulations. I will say however that there is some ambiguity as to the hierarchy of management. I signed with a gentleman named Dan and he's the right hand and Michelle, whom I believe is the manager of this facility, is the left hand and those two need to go out and get a drink- because they're not talking. And it's confusing and not fair to either of them as there may be residual ripple affect unbeknownst to either party; more importantly, it's not fair to the tenants!! it's confusing and not fair to the customer, especially when managing meetings occur and the customer looks like the bad guy when in reality there is simply two sets of rules being placed before him or her- from which they are to select what is best for the company when in reality, it should be best best for the client or customer as long as it doesn't compromise Michelle's militant standards. Unfortunately this, leaves the customer/patron/tenant, (the backbone of the corporation, and the reason everybody gets up out of bed in the morning!) confused; and in my opinion, this needs to be addressed. It's an important compromise from what I can see in this facility specifically. it's not affecting my 5-star-rating howenver, because the efforts from both management level staff members are there to and are focused on the mutual singular goal - and that is customer service. The only thing at this facility that could compromise corporate standards, but can easily be a quick fix since it is merely a communication breakdown; Therefore, I'm sticking with my five star review because out of all the storage facilities, I have used over the years. This clearly shows to me that the staff and management team truly care about customer service and that's rare in today's workplace; also, I remain hopeful, that the elbowing at the top can be mitigated with some better leader ship, and clear guidance. I selected this location predicated on the mutual understanding that Dan and I had reached- that I need privacy because I'm bringing pieces in that some are museum quality, and when I need to on occasion close the roll-up door of the unit, it is for packaging, unwrapping, or taking inventory, even rearranging, I would request that that be granted, due to the fact it is the main reason for the selection of this location; and based on the pre-existing agreement that I had with Dan, this is a good example of confusion on the part of the customer. read more

These people are con artists. They definitely do not stand by the 100% satisfaction guaranteed statement posted in the office. The day I came in to secure the unit prior to closing time I spoke to Alicia. She said if you need the next size up it won't be a problem, there are a couple open. Less than 24hrs later, before moving anything in, I came back to get the larger unit. Conviently her response was "oh I'm sorry we are all out." The next size available was over double what the original unit cost and way to much space. Alicia refused to transfer the credit to another PS facility with the size available. When I discovered they were not going to work with me I asked for a refund. That's when she stumbled over her words saying that you have to do that with in 24 hours, I mean the same day! So I told them I would dispute the charge with my Card company. Less than 30 min later I receive a call from Alicia at Public Storage. After I signed a lease with the MUCH nicer, cleaner and professional Extra Space Storage off 96th and Federal. Alicia told me that they would reverse everything if I came back to remove the lock from the unit. So I came down to removed the lock from the unit. I placed the lock on the counter. Alicia was on the phone with her boss. After listening to mhmm, okaay, yeaah, mhmm, okaay, yeaah for about five minutes she finally hung up the phone. At which point she went back on her word of doing the refund. Telling me that she would get the larger unit for the same cost as the next size up. I asked Alicia, Why she was unwilling to do this at first. That I have already secured another unit somewhere else. In short Avoid Public Storage at all cost. There are other storage places that are newer/cheaper. Extra space Storage off 96th and Federal is WAY nicer than this whole. read more

Everyone does all their business online these days, I just want to mention that now and come back to it later. I did my booking online and booked a 5x10' storage unit. When i arrived with my 5x9' uhual trailer, I was able to tell almost instantly, that the storage unit itself would be able to fit inside the trailer. Did some quick measurements and it was 4.25x8'. which doesn't sound like much of a difference but when you do the math, that's 50sq feet vs 34 sq feet. If you think about things that are close to 16 square feet, think of a coach or a large fridge. while they have disclaimers saying sizes are appropriate. When you talk to the chat help they say, we do recommend inspecting the unit before you purchase it. Where was that option when I was using your online platform?? That to me is an insane approximation. it's like if a gas station said, yeah it's approximately a gallon of gas but you're only getting .75 gallons and paying for the full gallon. Sounds like false advertising to me. well I gave it them 2 stars because I didn't have any other issues with the sign up or move in. read more

They do not do what they say. They promised to delete a CC and input a new one. Instead they just charged the original one and lost the new CC data. They promised to prorate my final week then changed it so i have to pay a full month for 7 days. I am a business owner and my customers rely on these sites for accurate customer experiences.
