We have had our unit here for about 2 years. On 11/8/2020 we got a call our unit was broken into. We got a call around 12pm. There is no alarm system here. No security. Nothing. On 11/28/2020 yet again. Here we are. The same exact storage unit was broken into. LESS THAN A MONTH! And they are doing absolutely nothing. There was no added security. There was nothing. As much as you think your stuff will be safe, it is not. Beware. They have the employees dealing with this rather than the bosses/owners/etc. And did I mention they are not cheap? We will be moving and hope this doesn't happen to others. read more

I've had a unit at the 12451 Orange Dr. location in Davie for about 7 years now! They always start you off low & then once all your stuff is packed nicely in your unit, they start raising the rent! I've gone from $100 per month to now more than $320 per month! I understand rent increases but a 300% increase!? From seven years ago to now the place is poorly maintained but they made the outside landscaping look good! I went there this past weekend to retrieve my Halloween decor ( last time I was there was 9 months ago) the automatic doors didn't work, there were no carts available, the first floor where staff is was nice and cool! On the third floor however, it was almost 84* degrees ( guess they are saving electricity for their profits) Only I elevator was working and it appeared that several unit were being utilized as business! People fulfilling online orders it appeared! Wonder if the city is licensing businesses in Public Storage! Even though it's conveniently located down the street from multi million dollar homes, this location feels like you're in OpaLoka! Now that half of my storage is vacant of my Halloween stuff it maybe time to look at that new storage place on Griffin Road in Cooper City! Shame but like always big names like Public Storage get so big they forget that it was their TENANTS that made them who they are!! read more

Talk about streamlining to perfection... First month was $1... Regular monthly charge for 5x10 unit also less than other same name brand from around town. Went online asked a few simple question... Paid.... They have me directions.. showed up a few hours later even had a lock for me in the unit.... Download the app for 1 button entry.... Great security features can't get on other floors.... I honestly couldn't have asked for a better scenario... Everythings automated and contact less... I know it's just a storage unit but have to say pretty impressed with their business model... I reserved, signed the contract, and paid for my unit online to avoid possible Covid19 exposure. It was very easy to do! The fees were the best in my area. When I arrived at the Flamingo Rd/Orange Drive facility, I found my unit exactly as described online. It was locked with a plastic security lock and my purchased lock as well as a copy of my contract were inside the unit waiting for me. The facility and my locker were very clean. There were flatbed hand trucks available for free in the lobbies which were very helpful. Security was good to enter lot, the building and to exit the lot. Lighting was automatic so as you walked into a hallway it was well lit. I am very happy with this Public Storage and would highly recommend them to family and friends. read more

I was impressed with the facility. It was clean and provided carts to use. The communication was good and all was as promised.

Absolutely the worst. My stuff was in storage there for 10 months starting in Dec 2017 and my payments were $245/month. By June the payment went up to $275. I guess they figure once you're there, you aren't going to move out any time soon because it's such a hassle. In addition, twice it rained into my unit because of their leaky roof which required me to go to my unit and move stuff out of the way. One month I paid late and that was a $50 PENALTY. That was when I decided I definitely needed to move my stuff out. I was told by the "manager" or whoever mans the desk that if I moved out before the end of the month, I would get a portion of my money back. WRONG. According to Section 2 article 1 you are not entitled to any money back. Avoid that place or be prepared to pay lots of money. read more

I reserved a unit online, got all the information to get into my unit contactless, I bought movers and a truck, get to the location and the keypad doesn't work with a sign saying closed for the day. I wasted so much money and time, got no notification of the closure, no call back from property manager or district manager, no help reserving at another location by customer service. During July I recently decided to go with Public Storage in Davie (A little far considering I live down south) to store my car since we needed to make space in the driveway to accommodate the new car that we bought my mother. I felt like I could be myself around here completely. She was really warm and took away the fear of handling one of many adult tasks that I would come across like dealing with storing my car. DO NOT USE PARKING SPACES!!!!! On May 11, 2015, My landscaping trailer was stolen from parking space 19 at 12451 orange dr, davie fl. I have a police report that states one of the cameras was not working when the trailer was stolen. When i first rented the parking space, the customer service agent told me there was 24hr surveillance and a officer was on patrol. The trailer and all the contents in it were worth $5000. This is a huge loss for my very small company. I am very dissatisfied with your company and the upkeep of the property. NO attempt by managment was made to look back at the camera footage. There are other incidents as well. A cargo van that was parked next to us had its window busted out as well as the key holes looked messed with. On the same van, a huge tree limb fell onto the roof of the van and stayed there for weeks. READ THE CONTRACT CAREFULLY if you decide to use this company. read more

Not happy with service received with this company. From the start it seemed i kept paying higher rates than advertised . Had no contract but had to pay month in advance. Waiting until due date to pay invoice on the second month, because I wanted to confirm that I still needed the spot, next day I was charged $20 late fee for a $22 bill. The final month I only needed for 7 days and vacated, expecting a refund of the rest of the month , based on the prorated price i was charged when i started , and after a few days of waiting for a refund called corporate office , only to find out they only allow you to vacate the first 6 days and after that , you are charged the full month. Great job guys at stealing peoples money. Learned my lesson. Never going there again. And will not recommend. read more
