The month-to-month lease just gives them an excuse to raise the rate at any time for any amount. Besides the pricing issue, there also is a problem with what clearly are people who are using their storage unit as a form of residence. I see individuals walk up with no car, nothing in their hand except for a bag of food from a local food store and then leave a short time later with nothing in hand and again leave by walking away with no car.

At the destination I discovered that…read morethe wardrobe boxes containing my clothing on hangers were also tightly jammed with other items, such as a full size plastic clothes hamper (into which a comforter was tightly jammed), unprotected shoes and an iron, full-size file boxes, a wastepaper basket, a tripod, etc. The force and displacement resulting from of all that jamming caused my clothes to not just be all creased, but also damaged, including a leather jacket whose collar was permanently dented in two places. Mats and a rug which should have been rolled up were instead tightly folded and bent. An upholstered chair had its upholstery ripped. A microwave oven for which I had the original box and styrofoam had the platter thrown into the interior loose and unprotected. Possibly the most clear-cut indicator that the damage was intentional was my favorite mouse pad (which has been discontinued), which was made of a firm material and yet was packed at the very top of a box's interior having been completely and precisely folded in half, making it forever unusable. The boxes that had been packed in my presence in the living room had tons of packing paper in them, but the boxes that were packed out-of-sight in the bedrooms often had no packing paper at all and looked like drawers had been turned upside down and the contents dropped into the boxes. Then there's the usual damage such as glass artwork being shattered, cardboard boxes being crushed., etc. This is all documented in photos, as well as videos of me opening up the wardrobe boxes. I had completed as instructed the high-value inventory online, but when I was presented paperwork to sign after the boxes had been loaded, it said I had "none" and that it was too late to fix. For both the A1A packers and movers, I tipped each of them $50 before they started and told them they would each get another $50 afterwards, for which I kept my word, and yet they did this.

They did mention that gas and tips weren't included, which I understood. However, the timeline they provided was completely off from what actually happened.On the day of the move, the movers were supposed to arrive at 8:00 AM but didn't show up until around 11:30 AM, citing traffic delays. They kept sending me screenshots supposedly showing their route, but the math didn't add up since an hour later they still claimed to be 45 minutes away.When they did finally arrive, it was two movers: one who couldn't speak English and another who had only been on the job for three days. My son, who wasn't supposed to be part of the labor, ended up having to help them because they were moving so slowly. I had pre-packed everything to make it easy for them, and they even parked on my lawn (which could have gotten me in trouble with my HOA) just to make things more convenient. Despite all these accommodations, they took longer than necessary.After everything was loaded--which only took about an hour--they decided to take a food and gas break. I arrived at my destination a full hour before they did, even though I made my own stop. When they finally reached the new location, they tried to tell me that my time was up after only 30 minutes of unloading, refusing to assemble my furniture or place items where I needed them.The owner's explanation was that the clock started ticking from the time they finished loading back at the original location, which completely contradicted what I was told before. In the end, I had to hire additional help just to set up basic furniture--something that should have been included in the service.In summary, while the workers themselves might not have been rude, the way the company handled timing and communication felt like a tactic to squeeze more money out of me. The final cost for a three-and-a-half-hour move that ended up being poorly executed was $1,200, from.a quoted $750 and they even left behind their dolly and didn't return the screws for my tables , do to them rushing so much , they double check the truck and never went inside to see they left it, nor was i contacted as a follow up on things. My advice: make sure you get everything in writing beforehand, ask detailed questions, and be cautious, even if the company seems like the cheapest option. It might save you a lot of frustration in the long run. I also was asked to pay before they even unloaded my items. Which now I think that was so they could leave. Evva was the nicest person who explained everything to me and I was very happy that the whole process was done very quickly. After I saw storage it was too small and Evva was still able to accommodate in transitioning to a bigger space. I'm glad I chose them compared to nearby ones in that area. They were so kind.
