Okay, so it took me a while to write this review because I wanted to make sure it does not reflect on all PS facilities. I had a WONDERFUL experience with the PS facility in south Long Beach whom I rented from for well over a year! I only left because I moved to Carson and the drive was frustrating. They were very clean, ALWAYS available in office during business hours, and everything was automated and futuristic. While it was expensive, it was totally worth it. This PS facility, on Del Amo Blvd in east Carson is EVERYTHING Long Beach wasn't!!! The facility is old looking (which wasn't a massive issue, as long as it didn't have pests. I put a ton of pest killer bait inside my unit as well). It's not temperature controlled due to all the unit being outside accessible. THERE IS NEVER anyone in office available during business hours whenever I needed assistance, which was literally only three times in the three months I was there!!! The last two times I needed assistance was to access my unit when the their was a closed padlock on the hallway door leading to my unit. There was NEVER ANY COMMUNICATION to us on what the code was to unlock it! Not even when we first got the unit! I had to call 10 times plus go back and forth to the front office before someone FINALLY came out to give me the code. Around 45 minutes total! That was the first time.... The second time, about two weeks later, I'll admit I got frustrated and banged on the window due to the office being LOCKED at the almost 10am and NO ONE answering the office phone! Upon me banging on the window the person sitting in the LOCKED OFFICE promptly decided to come out and yell at me to STOP BANGING on the window or they will call the cops. As they swiftly slammed the door shut before I could even speak a word as to why I was frustrated or what my name even was, I proceed to bang again since it proved to be the only way to get them to come out and unlock the door during business hours. We both ended up calling the cops. The cops came and stated that the employee told them I aggressively shattered the front office window...... Cops laughed, I laughed (through my anger), given there was no shattered glass or broken window in sight. The employee came and unlocked the padlock, I asked him why didn't he open the office door or why wasn't he answering my calls coming through to the office, they stated that I need to vacate within 72 hours as they did not feel safe with me around! HAHAHAHAHAHA! This is a grown man by the way...taller than me and I'm 5'11!!!! Anyways, the district manager is just as ignorant stating that they are only allowing me access ONE TIME this month to my unit with my belongings. I am working with my lawyer on this one. This is not a facility worth my energy. BTW, it's been well past 72 hours and my stuff is still in my unit :). I will be moving out end of April since I PAID FOR THE MONTH and they can't do anything about it without proper WRITTEN notice. I will be moving because I need a professional facility that operates as a business and not some raggedy, rag tag, unkept facility that clearly hires family members and friends on hard times. read more

Employees are never here and storage is always locked not allowing you to access your storage and no one answers the phone. if you want consistent access to your storage wouldn't recommend. read more

It's never any employees at this location to help. I had a lien on my units because their failed system that wouldn't allow me to make any payments and trying to get in contact with an actual person instead of an automated system was impossible. I had to go to a completely different location just to pay and get the lien taken off because like I said this location barely has employees on site. I came to this location 5 times in one month to come personally pay my rent because the app, website and phone number didn't work and every time I went there were no employees there. Doors were locked but sign on the door said they're open. Luckily the Avalon location helped me and the most they could do was give me a $50 credit on my next months rent after I was threatened to get my stuff auctioned all because systems weren't working and their was nobody ever there to help. I will be canceling the space because it was not ready on 7/1/22 move in day. I got notification it was ready and when I went to the space the latch to lock the door is broken so I wasn't able to move in and nobody was working during the office during business hrs. My entire weekend was ruined to move my things in the space because they falsely said the space was ready and charged my card $145. I left several messages and text messages and no response. While I was in my unit I put the lock somewhere and I was rushing so I asked the manager to put a temporary lock till I come back next day and find it (Andrew was his name). I came back to find out that my spearfishing/fishing equipment was stollen. Dealing with police but apparently there are no cameras and no insurance (what a surprise that employee new that) so not much can be done. read more

Public Storage here is ridiculous as you can imagine so helpful when starting out. When time to vacate no response no assistance. I vacated the storage on October 9. NO Prorate for departure (only to join). The key you made for(not a pad lock key) the public storage key is to be removed. What do one do with the Public Storage thereafter? Now they have cameras a can pull the records and see no entry since that day YET they are attempting to charge me for another month. That's two months of payment for no use. The staff did not use their own system to talk to me about my behavior and neglected the property for weeks. My family is renting the location for me and she threatened multiple times to make me rue the day. Sick minded woman. I called over the phone to get information on the phone about a unit. She was thorough and asked questions about needs. She didn't rush me . I made an appt and when I came into the office she knew that I was her appt and greeted me promptly. I have rented a unit here for just under two years and I wanted to share my experience with them. I hit some rough times financially and was going to have my belongings auctioned off. I spoke with the property manager on several occasions prior to the sale in regards to retrieving my personal paperwork such as social security card, birth certificate, tax and business paperwork, box of checks and family ashes. I was told by Patty that I couldn't get into the locker myself but that personal items are notit to be sold and she would call me to pick up after the auction. I had a friend attend the auction and the new owner made it clear to him that I needed to pay him if I wanted my personal information back. When I contacted him he stated that he left all the items in the locker????So after no call from Patty and no return of my messages I stopped in person to have "Patty" the property manager say "nothing was left". Shocker huh.... everyone pointed at the other. She offered to call the buyer who already told me he left the stuff.... what good is that going to accomplish but more passing/deflecting responsibility. I totally understand the auction process as it's a business but they have no guidelines of who attends these auctions and safeguarding sensitive items that have no value to anyone else. They basically are saying they can legally traffic my personal information and items and they don't care. I have filed a Police report and I will use all possible legal means to make thus and inconvenience for Public Storage. Hopefully this helps you make a better decision then I did when selecting a provider! read more

PRICE GOUGING! Public Storage is THE WORST place to rent a unit. The customer service is HORRIBLE! I know..I have had units with Public Storage in different locations for about six years now and they are THE WORST! Public Storage will increase YOUR rate as an existing customer while offering lower published rates to new customers. When you question it they DO NOT CALL YOU BACK. The DM Aracelli called me back twice over two months of me trying to reach her. Then there was ZERO concern and ZERO responsibility taken by her. They intentionally rate manipulate so YOU the EXISTING CUSTOMER pay for the lower rates of incoming customers. Also when you call the corporate office.. you can NEVER get a hold of a supervisor. Renting here has been on except for a number of things...firstly when you call you can hardly i'd ever speak to a manager w/ concerns. I had someone call me two days after my rent was reminding me of my payment due and on top of that they called on a holiday. Secondly my rent was raised by 40.00 without ANY notice except to add the new rent to my bill. I was told someone sent a letter and that is complete BS. No one sent anything and my rent being raised without notice after only 5 months being there was ridiculous. Lastly I am moving out and it doesn't matter when I am moving you will still be charged the FULL amount of rent which is robbery. This is something I will contact the BBB for because of course the owner will lease my space almost immediately yet I will have to pay the full month when I'm moving on the 10th. Customer service is a joke because upon calling them they they say you only get pro-rated charges upon move in not move out. I will never use public storage again. The only good thing about this property is that it is relatively safe. Aside from that I won't be renting from them again EVER. 10X20 for 316 a month is what I paid. read more
