Candy at the 1421 E. Del Amo Carson location is a Rock Star!!! I reserved a unit 7/7/2025 at the 1734 Location and was told I had to show my ID for verification and no one was there at 4:30 and I waited until 5pm and decided to go around to the Del Amo location and Candy helped me with everything she even left her location with approval and drove around to the 1734 Location and found my storage unit which was a task in itself because it was inside. I appreciated her patient and she even made sure I knew how to work the lock she went above and beyond to help a 60+ old Lady!!! If I could give more than five star review I would!! It is not okay to sign up and agree to one monthly rate and then 4 months after you move in they increase your rate almost $52.00. I am signed up for automatic payments, so when I saw a charge for almost $400. I was so upset. When I called they requested an extension on the rate that I signed up for. To be clear, I didn't move in on a promotion. The rate was a set rate. When I asked why my rate was increased, the representative said she didn't know, but rates can change. Not good business and I'm out. I don't have time for these money grabs. When I called to let them know I will be vacating, she said that she requested another extension, unfortunately I was denied. I told her that I did not request an extension on the rate that I/we agreed on when I signed up. That's crazy. Why would I have to request an extension to an original agreement. Then she asked if I wanted to downgrade. What? So do you think I just got the size I didn't need? Terrible business practices. U-haul here I come. I will never do business with Public Storage again. Got a storage here today and customer service was extremely great. All my questions were answered and all my details were explained well. Got the tour of the space and its quite nice but the only thing is there's no lights inside the storage. My suggestion is to put even a little bit of light that customer can see inside without bringing a flash light. LED light will be bright enough to be able to see inside clearly. I'm going to only rate the security system which is horrible sin e I noticed at the top of my storage unit there's a huge open space above my so called secured unit and the lights had been out for a couple months so I couldn't even access my storage after 5pm at the time it was dark early so in the mean time someone went through the top opening of my unit and vandalized my belongings and tool what they could access upwards to get stuff out all my bags all opened many things are gone! The on-site manager at this particular facility is awesome. Joshua, is helpful, accommodating, friendly, has great follow through and knows his business inside and out. The facility is kept in a clean and orderly manner at all times and the overall atmosphere is comfortable and safe. Communication with the staff is easy and Public Storage is very good with notifications and messages in general. I have had two separate units at this location and both have been as expected experiences with no surprises and nothing crazy on their end. In fact, they've gone above and beyond what anyone should ever have to endure. I strongly recommend this location and Public Storage as a perfect option to store your treasured belongings. OMG.... I had the best experience! Let me start by saying that Jeanie is the "Epitome" of what good customer service should look like. She was kind, helpful, knowledgeable and very patient. She called me to confirm my appt. When I arrived I was greeted with a big smile and she called y by name. She walked me through the process of renting a storage unit (this was the first time that I ever rented a storage unit) and it was effortless. I left the storage facility feeling completely informed and secure about leaving my things. I highly recommend the PS in Carson. Ask for Jeanie and she will definitely help you. The facility was so clean and it looked very nice. Especially compared to another storage facility that I was going to originally use. It's okay for items that can be exposed to extreme weather, (It gets very hot inside your units). I was happy with the the size and price for an outside unit but I'm so upset that they increased my rent $35.00 after only FOUR months! I called and asked if that is what I can expect, a $35.00 rent increase every four months. He said, there is no set time or amount, so basically at any time, they can raise your rent for any amount, whenever they want. Knowing this now, I hesitate at moving too much of my things in, because who knows when they will hit you with a rent increase and you'll need to move out, they give you 30 days but when you can only move on the weekends that's not enough time. So, it doesn't feel too good to have uncertainty of not knowing when an rent increase is coming (4,6, 7, months???) and what the amount will be. As soon as I can I will be going back to my old storage place, it was smaller but at least I knew I had a year before a raise, and what the amount would be, and peace of mind. read more

As a frequent patron of this chain, I am shocked at the poor service this Storage offered. They told us the main they have good security and only have cameras in office and gate. Get your shit together. Whoever is in charge during these hours needs to go! He is very short and he can not help get a f***** lock from the display, I had to get it my self. read more
