I spoke to customer service, who said they could refund my booking and book me at another property that costed me more money. I was told I would be paying the same price, but I would have to wait until the refund was processed to get all the same discounts I originally had. Spole to a woman who said she was over the location, she apologized, and said she would process the refund. I was told to wait 24 hours, but I still didn't receive a refund. I called back, and she said she had to talk to her manager to process the refund, and it would be checked out the same day, which was the 4th of that morning. She never canceled my booking; she only moved my dates to December 31, 2025. I don't know why. I spoke to customer service again, and they said the refund would be processed, but I was told to wait 24 hours. Nobody knows what they are talking about.

A loyal customer of 5 years and two different units she refused to give me a waiver for late fee. They inconveniently has to change the door to my unit because they had to do a repair to the door. I received notice for that but never for a late fee. We also received steep increases in the actual rent price. Be prepared to pay double your initial rate at some point. Take your business elsewhere ! We will! They will reply to this review with a generic help email. I have already emailed them and nothing was settled. I went almost 6 months without going there so yeah, you can insert a brain fart there. I should've added the code to my notes rather than take a picture of the card and then let it disappear into obscurity. Elevators went out last fall but was quickly remedied within days. BEWARE - BAIT-AND-SWITCH PRICING!…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience with this company deserves one. I chose Firehouse Movers because of their glowing Google reviews, and their initial estimate was very competitive. Unfortunately, the final bill was a complete shock. To begin with, they insisted on a virtual estimate and refused to come out in person and assess the job. This was a 5000 sq ft home full of furniture, and I wanted the most accurate estimate possible. I asked multiple times for an in-person estimate, but my requests were declined. By moving day, I had sold two-bedroom sets and several other large pieces of furniture that were included in the original estimate. Even with significantly fewer items to move, the final price was more than double the original estimate. On the day of the move, I somehow went from needing two trucks, as stated in the estimate, to four. And from 9 to 17 total man hours. At the end of a long day, my husband just wanted them gone, so he reluctantly paid the bill before they could log anymore hours. When I called to discuss the bill, Firehouse claimed I had verbally approved the additional associated costs over the phone, citing a recording, which was completely false. I have asked multiple times for this recording, but I have not received it. That was not a small miscalculation. Our move was grossly underestimated. This whole experience felt misleading and dishonest. Stay away.
