Nathan gets a high five for an easy setup for our storage space, being completely down to earth and clearly explaining things. Life isn't easy when you have to take seven years worth of life and cram it into a storage unit just to try to figure out the rest of life. Some storage places make their specials super confusing while they have someone from a callcenter follow up with you just to nag at you more and more. This is not the case with Stor Self Storage. I doubt they see many happy people here who need to store their belongings so props for being coolheaded the whole way. Our lease is wrapping up soon and I admit, I'm going to miss the random bantering each time I went into the office to ask Nathan for my access code. I went almost 6 months without going there so yeah, you can insert a brain fart there. I should've added the code to my notes rather than take a picture of the card and then let it disappear into obscurity. Elevators went out last fall but was quickly remedied within days. I won't miss going into a storage unit and spending half a day moving boxes just to look for important items. In the end I had a great experience with this place and would recommend them. read more

I chose this place based on price and location. However, the service is what really makes it top notch. The people who work there are extremely nice and helpful. When I first moved in I changed my mind on what size locker I needed and they were happy to redo the paperwork and make a switch for me. Every time I've had a question they've been great and happy to help. When I moved out I didn't sweep out my unit right away and came back later (before my lease had expired) to discover they'd gone ahead and done it for me. I'd definitely recommend this place. It's well lit and I had a unit there for almost a year without any incident. One word of advice: when choosing the size of your unit, be sure to ask about pricing for a variety of sizes. I discovered that i could actually save money by going to a slightly larger unit - due to supply and demand, sale prices and specials could mean that a larger unit is less per month than a smaller unit. read more

Great location, great staff...safe, secure and clean at all times! They have plenty of options for outdoor units or indoor climate controlled. If you need moving supplies they have you covered as well. Make sure to pay attention to the access hours, they do lock down access after 9pm. read more

I would have given 0 stars if possible. We rented a space, put all of our things in it and would go back about once a week to either get something out or put something in. After about a month and a half when we went, before you even got on the elevator to go to the 2nd floor, there was a disgusting odor, so bad you didn't want to breathe. We had to go in and did so as fast as possible. Office was closed at the time, so we didn't notify them. Actually forgot until we went back a week later, still the same horrible smell. It was disgusting. Told person in office, but they were totally uninterested. Another customer who was there said they got the same reaction from the office. We found another storage space at Public Storage, moved all of our stuff, and they have been great! Would NOT recommend STOR Self Storage. They didn't even care when we told them we were discontinuing our lease with them. read more

Ok, my brief experience . I want to let you know that rude people work here, but the storage place is nice. I stored here for just 6 months while I stayed in Santa Fe for an extended amount of time. This place was actually recommended by my friend John R. Wow, I can't wait until it is my turn to recommend to John anything. That prank/payback to John R will be huge and not fun! Deliverance comes to my mind describing my experience here. These storage facilities are nice, just try to avoid anyone that works there. The male manager that works and lives at the storage facility has some sort of mental issue and is menacing. I didn't understand if something upset the guy the first time we talked, but I really just wanted to ignore it and just move on. I wanted to give this guy the benefit of the doubt that there was some sort of misunderstanding or he was just having a bad day. Nope, this guy is really out there, as in weirdly rude for no apparent reason. Then he was weird/rude months later when I was moving my belongings out of storage, he approached me that he delighted in throwing away something of mine. His approach, posture, and the words were menacing as he approached and he was all bowed up and spoke in a rude tone. I was caught off guard and wondered what is his problem. Just an odd person or immature or just rude. It was all unwarranted, but I kept up being polite and just went along. But just so you know, beware of the creepy manager. In just 5 or 6 times loading and unloading, my experience here was something in between the twilight zone and deliverance. His wife/coworker was weirdly rude as well the first couple times that we spoke on the phone. Except right at the end when I gave my notice to leave, she was all of a sudden helpful and her tone was nothing like she was talking down to me. My guess was they were happy to know I was leaving. Like I described above in many ways, all of it was surreal. I am a big believer that if you don't like the service then leave. But unfortunately, I had to just accept the stupid behavior, because I didn't have time to go find another storage place before leaving to Santa Fe. I surely would have changed storage companies if I had the time, and to let these employees and managers and owners that I don't like rude and will not accept rude. I won't be back, but I do hope they get help. read more
