My move did not take place until much later in the day than scheduled but not to worry because BIU: * The Office kept me in the communication loop. * The Men were most professional, energetic and proficient in spite of being rained and hailed on throughout the day . * Charged me 'exactly' as discussed (used a Groupon for 4 hours of the move). DO NOT USE: They need 100 NEGATIVE star rating…read more DAMAGES TO PROPERTY: They damaged BRAND NEW furniture, dining room table, bedroom furniture and other things and just advised me to call a number to file a claim to a number that no one answers. PRICE GOUGE - Adds RIDICULOUS trumped up fees that are not in the contract. They have generic contract without any totals on it except the cost for that agreement we initially made. However, they charged me an addition $500 extra. and wouldnt take my most valuable items off the truck until I paid. Threatened me with storage fees and drove off with my valuables for 12 hours forcing me to pay the trumped up charges. When they returned, they would not deliver the heavy items into the home. The police had to them move it upstairs. CUSTOMER SERVICE - The people who do return your a call eventually are skilled scammers, and professional liars. One of the movers who is the owner of the fraudulent business denies accountability. POOR MOVING WORK ETHIC - Movers was an hour and thirty minutes late. Complained they were tired the whole time becuase this was there 5 move. They took smoke breaks, and was very, very slow. One guy stood around and waited for orders from the lead mover who is the owner. One bedroom apartment took TWO trips because they didnt pack the truck up. I later learned this was part of the time scam. I do NOT have a lot of items that would taken 6 hours to move. The mover gave me a generic receipt that looks a waiter could of written up in restaurants. In my opinion, don't think this company should be in buisnesd and should have their licenses to move people revoked. Location: This company is web based. They don't have a physical address, but there website provides a suite number. There is an apartment building at that address. There is soooo much more I can warn you about, but I hope you learn from my HORRIBLE experience and USE A REPUTABLE company. Be sure not to get in this jam.

No repair or compensation two months later 4) Fraudulently packed multiple boxes with nothing but paper. 5) Left the van door open during the move and ruined multiple items I am an experienced mover, having lived in multiple spots in the US and around the globe. NA is the WORST I HAVE EVER USED. Run, don't walk, to someone else. Anyone else. This is a company no one should ever use. I gave it one star because yelp doesn't let you rate it any lower.

The delivery of my furniture has been a nightmare. When booked, American Van Lines agreed to give…read moreme about a 48 hour notice before delivery. This was needed as I live in NJ and would need to travel to Dallas to let the movers into the apartment. On May 23 I spoke with a delivery coordinator that my date would be May 29 or 30. But call back on Tuesday, May 27 to confirm which day. I called on May 27 and they said they tried to deliver on May 26. Nobody called me on May 26. Next they said they will deliver May 30 or 31. When I called in May 29, they did not have a date to give me. Finally I called on Friday May 30 and they said delivery will be tomorrow. I booked a flight to Dallas and when I landed I called back and they said I was moved to Wednesday. So now I am stuck in hotels and wasting money because of this poor service. This is the worse business experience I have ever had and nobody cares when I call. I was promised a manager would call me back. Never happened. No escalation and I am just held hostage.

Compassion Movers came to our rescue, they had to come back with an engine lift after a couple of days but they got it lifted and mounted on the stand that it came with. They were reasonably and fairly priced and I was more than happy to support a locally owned moving business.

I used this company on the recommendation of a friend without checking them out first. My move was…read moresupposed to happen in two parts on a saturday. By the end of the day I was told it would have to be Sunday instead. This created some significant problems but I was willing to work with them. On Sunday, I was told it was going to have to be moved to Tuesday. It just so happened that I was going to be out of town on Tuesday and couldn't receive the second part of the move. I was told that would be rescheduled at my convenience. The bulk of the move did actually happen on Tuesday. When the day came for the second part of the move to happen, which was only a bed and a grandfather clock, I got put off again, from Saturday to Sunday. And on Sunday, right at the end of the agreed-upon window, I got a call asking for more money to complete the job. I was informed that because of my inability to receive the second part of the move on Tuesday, I was going to have to pay more. No matter that I was available to receive it Saturday, Sunday, and even Monday if that had been an option. The delay was not due to any action on my part and was actually very stressful for me. Yet I was at fault for not being available on Tuesday at the second location. My big mistake was not reading enough reviews before hiring this company. Although they have some good reviews, and I have no doubt they can do a good job, several other people have reported having issues similar to what I experienced. Had I seen those accounts I probably would have looked for someone else to do the move. I do not recommend this company for your moving needs.

Needed to find a mover fast. All the other "brand names" needed 2-3 weeks notice. I needed…read moresomething 3-4 days before I needed to move. I got assigned a coordinator to give me a quote from their home base in California. After I paid, I arranged a time frame for my household goods. The dispatcher was good at letting me know the time frame. They also got my car shipped and all that. One gripe, if that, is that they don't move your stuff themselves. They contract local companies to do the move for you. In other words, they are what you call a broker. I know this because I asked the movers themselves if they're with Trico and he said, "No, we are a sister company. They contact us and we do the rest." Another gripe is that they charged me a "long haul fee". I had a top floor, corner unit at my apartment complex. They charged me an extra $300 for extra footage for the move. So be wary of that part if you're an apartment dweller. My stuff got to California safely and everything was accounted for. As for my car, again, they contract other auto shippers. My car came back in one piece. I'd recommend Trico. Some may be hesitant if they're essentially a "middle man" of sorts. They were professional with the whole process.

We had worries that we would not be able to make the deadline of the move as we needed to be moved out by the Thursday of last week. The day we called them was pretty inconvenient to get started so Trico was able to compromise and schedule us to have somebody come in and approximate the price and length of the transportation process. They informed us that the actual packing and loading the furniture onto the trucks will take up at least two to three days and the rest of the transport will take up to another four days relative to how far we were moving. I told my dad that they were offering several package bundles and he opted to choose the one with an insurance policy with it, I strongly agreed. It was one of the best deals they had, including a full damage reimbursal insurance policy for moves over a few hundred miles. Thankfully our move was just about that length if not longer and we qualified for the package. These guys are the very best at what they do, we contacted them on short notice and they did not overcharge us or give us a hard time about things. If we had to do it all over again I think we would still choose these guys without a doubt. We had a wonderful experience and all of our stuff arrived safely at our new home without a single scratch.
