Reserved a 5x10 downstairs unit in 5/2023 for my daughter at UD. It was $54, including a $25 monthly discount. Beware: they auto-enroll you in insurance for $15/mo. It was a clean downstairs unit right near the office (1091) Staff was very friendly, though the gate was broken the entire week we moved items in. Fast forward few months and I noticed they raised the rate. I called and was told that's normal. They lowered it for me one month, but then I just saw the raised it AGAIN even more! Yesterday (1/20/25) while taking some stuff out, the unit on the left next to hers was open and you could see the entire floor was COVERED in rat poop!!!! COVERED!!! The gate was wide open & being repaired yet again, btw, with lots of cars coming right through. And two different men were sitting on the luggage carts saying via google translate "sorry, this is occupied" as they sat there the whole time we moved stuff back and forth. Today I found another place nearby and moved in for $29/mo (5x5) and was guaranteed the rate would not go up. I would NOT recommend this place, not only because of the rodent issue, but also because you have no control over rate increases. Be ye warned. read more

This location has a serious rodent problem. At time the entire floor reaks of the smell of urine. We have personal property with urine damage. There are rodent wastes and boxes have been chewed through. Also, expect rent increases every six months. Our last increased was 30%. Six months prior the increase was 26%. Prior to that 36%. If you are OK with the rent increases, the smell (especially in the summer) and can cover all your property with plastic, it's not a bad place. read more

Been a customer for 2 years now. I have no complaints at all. The units are as clean as they were when I first moved in. Vanessa is alerts smiling and has a great attitude whenever I come into the store with questions. Easy access to the units and very secured. Never have to worry about break ins or people hanging around the street near the storage units. read more

If sucking was a sport these guys got the Gold Medal today. I flew in from Orlando, Florida to take care of a few things in my storage. I had reserved another smaller space to start staging some things to sell. My flight was late because of weather but they called me anyway about the reservation. then I rolled up the next day to find the place in disrepair. The gate was broken so I rolled right in. Went to check on my property and the elevator was broken so at least no one, not even myself and get my property out. Then while check on the website to find another unit I discovered the rent is going up $26 dollars. So basically, Public Storage can kiss my Blarney Stone. I will be leaving ASAP! read more

Just HORRIBLE. The rows are one way in and way out. You have to pull in and back out. The parking lot is entirely too small to turn around in and you are not about to get a trailer or any size truck in there. We got stuck by another group of people who pulled in behind us with no way around. I honestly do not know how the Fire martial approved this as it is clearly a safety hazzard in addition to a major nuisance. It is so bad we are moving to a different storage facility because we are going to be using a full size truck on the next 2 rooms of our house and would not be able to get out. Also the isle between the storage is so steep you have to fight up like a ramp for heavy objects and the center is full of mud, muck and algae. Just a miserable place to unload. read more

Rat infestation at this location, you can see 5 rat traps by front office. Rent doubled for me without notice. I'd advise to go to another company. Multi billion dollar company cares more about the money you owe than good customer service and a clean storage. Over 2 dozen rat traps isn't working. read more

This place has the worse rat infestation ever! When I say most of my stuff was damaged, that's an understatement. I had to discard most of my belongings due to the amount of rat urine on it. It was the most disgusting thing I've ever dealt with!! I told the staff numerous times and their response was "oh yeah, we've had that issue for quite some time. Do not rent here unless you want your belongings destroyed from their rat infestation!! read more

Shannon was super helpful when figuring out what i needed. took about 10 minutes to initially get the unit. they were upfront and pleasant. the unit was clean and exactly what i needed. it was easy to pay online and they called me a few times to remind me as well. overall a very simple and efficient experience. read more

I will never rent a unit from them ever again. They raised the rent $70 without notice they charge you fees for everything and they never answer the phone but will blow your line up when you are late on a payment. Don't rent from them go to a small storage facility that cares more about you than they do making a dollar off you. Public storage will never get a penny from me ever again!!! read more

Someone stole the carts about 6 months ago, and they refuse to buy more. Instead, they make you bring your own dolly or cart. When you have to move out and you're on the second floor, it could cost a lot more money to pay movers. Public Storage doesn't care that they are costing their customers more money while providing less service. We sent an email to corporate and never received a response. Public Storage is not a company I would do business with again. read more

I am a student at the University of Dallas and I have been using this Public Storage every summer. Jessica is outstanding and really makes it a point to make sure you have a great experience. The units are simple to rent and payments are easily made online each month. You even get an email or a phone call reminding you to make your payment, helping to avoid those late fees. The facility itself is temperature controlled (air conditioned), well-secured, and easy to navigate, although I do wish you were able to enter the storage yard from Carl Rd.... I recommend this storage facility to my classmates every year. read more

Worst place to come. We got a unit from Shannon and were informed it was 24 hr accessibility. Come to find out it's not. Okay not a problem we will just switch to a different unit so we called the next day no answers. Left a voicemail no call back. Call again and finally answer. They said they didn't have any available but will be able to look if another unit near by has one and will call us in 30 minutes. They close and no call back. Ok moving on to the next day. We come to the storage unit only to find out we have been locked out. We go to the front at this point just wanting our money back cause we where not getting what we paid for. When trying to explain the situation back to Shannon and break down where things might have gone wrong she just kept interrupting and not let us get a sentence out. She got annoyed and irritated that we where frustrated. But if your promise done thing and even pay more to receive it your expected to receive what you pay for right? NEVER COME HERE read more

We rented a large, climate controlled storage unit for 25 months, $376/month. We discovered our beautiful, expensive oriental rug had holes in it when we brought it home from pest damage. It's very unfortunate this location does not have ongoing pest control service. We had not taken out the supplemental insurance offered, as we did not realize pest control was not being performed. All nice and wonderful when we set up our account, but once we moved our stuff in, nothing but problems and no help from the staff. Completely inept at this location. I have rented here for three years and the first two years the A/C did not work and I was told for two years that they work trying to fix it ,,,,come on for two years ???? This year the lights do not work and it has been like this for months now I called the management office and was told they are being fixed for MONTHS NOW THE LIGHTS ARE BEING FIXED ... This is the place where my dorm usually puts their stuff over the summer vacation. We have done this for the past 3 years, and this will be the last. (Not for any bad reason at all!!) This place is really close to campus, always clean, and the manager is always really cool, she actually remembered me from last year! That was great, since I had rented there before, the process was quick and easy. The only bad thing is that there is no bathroom available, you have to go to the gas station next store if the store is closed. If it was not for that, I would have given 5 stars. The pricing is awesome, good special for the first month, and the fact that they dont lock you into any contract at all. Very nice place, and great management too really makes it the a great place to put your stuff. read more

I have been at this location storing family heirlooms for 3-4 yrs now ... they have been great! The staff are courteous, helpful and kind. They have gone out of their way to help me in various situations (forgot code, new lock, late with payment, etc). During heavy rain, we had water mysterious appear in my unit (not a lot, but on one corner of the unit) - they helped get me quickly get into a new unit, we investigated the issue, they were kind and helpful throughout the process - it was indeed a mystery - none of us could figure it out. Of course this process falls under the insurance, and I did follow up there. THANKFULLY the damage I sustained was minimal and no claim needed to be filed. The office staff, manager, and insurance were kind & helpful throughout the experience, and cared. There has never been negative issues or concerns with security, customer service, etc for me at this facility. I can wholeheartedly recommend this business. read more
