Absolute trash. Stay away. Rented there online. Went to get into the rental and there were cracks in the back of the wall to the outside. Bugs. Evidence of rodents. Property manger was of no help. Des***y. Called a number where they tried to transfer to another unit. Pain in the you know what. When they had me open another unit. Dead rat. Pathetic. Look at these reviews. This is what a lazy, crappy attitude, unprofessional property manager does to a place. Still waiting on a refund, 3 calls, supposedly a district manager was to call. Think that happened? Nope. Pics coming. UPDATE: Now this Property Manager is writing me claiming that the balance THEY did not REFUND, read that twice, will goto collections since my card company had enough of them due to their lack of any kind of response. SECOND UPDATE: The new District Manager called, not sure of the spelling of the name but Kay**. She didn't think to think much of the four times customer service told me a manager would call, or her employee's threatening voicemails and messages and the time I have spent having to deal with this mess. She did however ask me if they fixed the balance, from a unit I never moved into, that I would adjust or take down this review. No. That is not how it works after you put someone thru all these hoops and waste HOURS of their time bc your Property manager wants to act like a child. I also told her that the clawback is between Public Storage and Visa not me, they got paid fully and decided not to refund it causing me to have to goto other measures, goto the processor and/or Visa. These companies worry more about these Google Reviews than they do providing actual decent service. Only when something like this is put up do they even bat an eye to try to do something, and even then can't hide their intent which is to have you take it down or change it. These companies ought to be ashamed of using doing the right thing as a bargaining tool for removing these reviews. As soon as that happened my tone changed significantly and the call was over. Tomorrow is two mos from when I didn't move into a place and this is the type of stuff Public Storage wants to put you thru. RATS! RATS! RATS! and more RATS! If you want your values to remain valuable then please do not store them at this property. The rats will chew on them and possibly destroy your possessions. If I could I would give this property a negative 1,000. No stars at all. I was devastated when I accessed my unit to discover rat droppings and chewed on wood furniture, the insert to the sleep number bed has also been ruined by the chewing rats, rat droppings through out, keepsake board games must have been the rats desert. There is rat poison all over my belongings in my unit along with the rate droppings. I was advised by the property manager they are spraying for rats but considering where the rats reside inside the A/C buildings it's doubtful the spray ever reaches them. The outside buildings have rat traps outside their buildings. I was advised by the Coppell Property Manager (Destiny) I would get a month (October) free rent but the Arlington District Manager for Public Storage would not approve this request. The current property manager Destiny has been helpful and responsive but she doesn't have any authorization. In fact a woman from Public Storage in Corp CA called and told me that Destiny has no authorization. I texted and called the District Property Manager for the Coppell location (Ty) but received zero response. Later Destiny advised he was no longer the District Manager at the Coppell location and a new one would be assigned before mid October. Destiny later advised a new District Manager would not be available until November. In the meantime I got more than four (4) emails with various rate related issues. In one of the emails Public Storage advised me my new rent would be $275.00. Public Storage seems to manipulate the monthly rent without reasonable justification. Although I was told not to pay October's rent by the Coppell Property Manager I was forced to pay $189 (by the Arlington District Manger) as Corp Public Storage sent me a notice of Claim. I was told that Public Storage had placed a lien on my belongings, that my lock would be cut by October 24th and my items put up for public sale. It's shocking Public Storage after only 24 days puts a lien on someone's property and sells it. I am a long term renter (due to COVID) and have paid 6 months to a year in advance to avoid Public Storages outrageous rent increases and yet they were going to eliminate my belongings 24 days after not paying my October rent because I was advised not to do so since I was waiting on a credit If Public Storage figures out who posted this review I fear retaliation. This storage unit is targeting individual renters that have had their stuff there for a long time. Just got notification that rent is being raised AGAIN for a 5x5 unit to $88.00 (plus $20 late fee). I called the 800 number and they are leasing to the public for $24.00. CORRUPT. GET YOUR STUFF OUT OF THERE. read more

Have had a 10 x 10 unit for about a year. Not only did we acquire our unit at $99 a month and they went up to $133 per month, we noticed rodent droppings and informed the property. We were told that no one had been at the location for a few months, but that it would be taken care of June 2024 we go by the unit to get a few things out and there is rodent droppings everywhere. The location is poorly managed if managed at all and we will be using a different Storage facility going forward read more

Such a terrible experience over the past couple of days at this site. I didn't realize that they don't prorate at P. S. and so I got my stuff moved out on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. I called customer service to ask if they could prorate the amount for me and they said that they don't prorate according to their contract. It would've been nice if the associate at the front desk would've told me that I still had 27 days I could've used, but he didn't. He just let me close my unit out and walk away. So, the last two days I've been trying to ask a property manager at this site if I can have my unit re-opened up since I paid for it. I want to put some stuff back in it and use the rest of the 3 1/2 weeks that I've paid for. But, to my dismay and other customers's dismay (other customers have been showing up at this site the same time as me as well), no one has been at this property for the past two days. Also, some people at customer service tell you one thing that you can do to get help and then when you call back and get a different customer service representative, they act like they can't do what the other person just said that they could do. So, people aren't on the same page within the company and you're ghosted with customer service representation at the physical locations. (I drove over to the MacArthur Blvd location and no one was there to help me either). Something is seriously wrong with this company lately! read more

Awful service. I received a text saying my unit was ready. After I packed up my vehicle, I drove the 35 minutes to the location, only to find that there was a lock on the unit. There was nobody there to provide assistance. I left 4 messages without a return call. I will now drive the 35 minutes back to unload my vehicle back at my home. I will also be canceling my service with them and contesting payment of the bill with my credit card company. read more

Very clean and orderly but the employee who helped me wasn't friendly at all. The property manager woman (can't remember her name) was extremely friendly and called to check on me a couple of times to see if I needed anything. Also, the security gate was not working when I went on Sunday, July 23rd. This really concerns me. And I did not see any cameras along the buildings. Only by the office and gate. I was proactive in asking a lot of questions so I would be prepared when arriving fort appointment. After getting there I was pressured into buying their round lock for $17.99 that they required. I had the exact same lock at home (15 min away). She told me thy they couldn't put their lock on it, thy couldn't leave it unlocked so I needed to buy their lock. I refused and said forget it, when leaving she said I could go get mine but I already set up a babysitter and drove down there, not to leave and come back again. I had a worst experience in this location, the guy at the front desk, his name is Jonathan, so difficult to deal with, never disclosed that I have to buy there lock $21.00 and I have to buy there insurance $11/month, until I sign the contract. I explain, you can't charge me for something that you didn't disclose upfront. I decided to walk away!!!! Lost the "processing fee $25.00" as Jonathan said it's none refundable. When I called for pricing, the person at the central number was very persistent, trying to pressure me into making an apt at the local facility. The local contact called me back and also tried to pressure me into coming in and signing a contract before I decided anything. I told her how annoying it was, and she told me that she would submit my concern. The pricing was fair, and the month to month terms fit my needs. I visited the facility the next day to sign the contract and was told that I had to have a lock at the time of signing and was presented with a round, high security lock that I could purchase for $18. I told her that my son would be in the next day to sign (it was getting close to closing time) and place a lock of my own on the unit. He just called me and told me that it had to be a round lock like the one I was shown previously. The site manager got on the phone and told me it was policy that it had to be a round lock, and the fact that my lock was tempered, was used to lock up sensitive items for the military was not relevant. Needless to say, I will go somewhere else. I am also planning to write a very scathing letter to their corporate office. Dishonest and misleading. Will not recommend Public Storage to anyone. If I could rank them no stars, I would. read more
