    Not sure where to start... in a pinch we were able to find this public storage, my experience with storage places is hidden fees etc. we were told despite rate increase on the new year we would be able to submit to keep our rate from climbing... that didn't happen, the rate increased significantly, our "request" was denied. No big surprise, however when I went to pick up a few things for spring, I found my golf bag was chewed up from mice. Immediately we contacted the front desk and alerted them, their solution was to set mice traps etc. ( the worker stated that food possibly in a neighboring or adjacent unit could be the cause) there is nothing consumable or food like in our unit. Still paying the increased rate. We recently returned to find much more stuff destroyed by mice / rats, again notified the office person, also called a suggested number ( it led to the same seemingly unconcerned person) . They gave us options to move to a smaller unit, set traps again, call an exterminator, or apply for the reduced fee. Having a hard time contacting anyone more than just the person working in the office is difficult, ironically public storage called to collect the bill and we notified them of what is happening. Even worse, there are live ( and dead) mice IN the boxes of summer clothes we brought home, mattresses ruined, clothes etc. probably the most frustrating part is being denied the rate we were offered and paying a much higher rate for what seems to be worse service.     If you want your personal items to be safe, DO NOT RENT A UNIT AT THIS FACILITY!!!…read moreThere have been at least 5 burglaries since October 2024, you can verify this at https://communitycrimemap.com/ The advertised individual unit alarms do not appear to be functional (they are supposed to sound if someone accesses your unit and you are not keyed onto the premises...). Furthermore, there are NO cameras in the halls of the non-climate controlled area, making it extremely easy for thieves to conceal their actions. In the case of the burglary to my unit, Management and Police have been unhelpful so far. Avoid all of the time and money spent getting your stuff back and rent elsewhere, at least at a place with cameras inside the facility.

    Upon moving out of my unit, I was informed they "do not prorate the bill on the way out, just on…read morethe way in." So in other words, they are charging for a period of 23 days of this month without providing any services. That is theft and it's disgusting. It's my money for 23 days in exchange for nothing. It's also a conscious, calculated business choice. Their calculation can factor in 1-star reviews, then. I urge all Trojan storage users to give 1-star reviews for this this reason. The employee that informed me of this theft asked "is that ok?" lol. No, it's very not ok. But of course, her hands are tied and she can't do anything about it, because it's an on-purpose, calculated, anti-consumer policy. A remedy would be as follows: 1) refund the money stolen from me for these 23 days, 2) change the policy for all Trojan Storage users so that you no longer charge for services that aren't even rendered (in other words, you need to pro-rate on the way out), and 3) issue a public apology for this embarrassingly grotesque, greedy behavior.
