I would not recommend this location to store anything unless locked inside. The location has frequent trouble with break-ins. It also has many vehicles that make it look like a junk yard. 3 trailers were broken into in March alone. The price is the only thing that is appealing. read more

I can't believe these guys have never been yelped (that's a good thing, sometimes!) These guys are great! I discovered them on accident, when I was looking for a storage space for some work materials (I call it "teacher crap" - lesson materials I can't part with, in case I need them again) that I couldn't store in my apartment as I did not have room. I pay $30 for a 5X 10, (indoors, I believe an outdoor space with drive-up access is more, although I don't know how much) which I think is great and it totally works for me. I have access all day until 6pm (the things I'm storing - I would not need to have 24-hour access) and every day of the year except major holidays. Also, the ceiling height is super tall, I could pile those boxes to the sky if I wanted to! None of my materials have been damaged and it always seems dry, and not too hot/too cold in the building (even though my storage space is not temp controlled technically) I haven't noticed any damage from rats/mice/pests, etc. either. But what really goes above and beyond is their customer service. When I was moving in (again, I just found them randomly, when I was driving around. They are located in a section of R.C. where there is many storage places) the man at the front desk asked me if I needed any boxes as someone had left many bankers boxes. I said "yes" and I took a few. I have been moving things in on hot days and they offer me some bottled water from their fridge in the office. From a storage space place? What place does that? 5 stars for caring...I guess they don't want to see me pass out. They also asked me if I needed a lock since i was moving in a hurry (I already had one) otherwise they were just going to give me one for free. I think they rent out a lot to military and I just think that they treat people right. I would highly recommend doing business with them. read more

I had a thoroughly positive experience with American Mini Storage... so much so that I'm planning to use their services again upon my return to the Sacramento area after living out of town for awhile. The on-site staffer is a genuinely good guy, friendly and helpful, and accompanied by his constant four-legged companion. The units are clean, affordable and secure, and the facility's location is convenient since it's a stone's throw from Hwy 50. I highly recommend them. read more

I moved back to the Mather/Rancho Cordova area and needed a storage unit to store my things for the time being. Rasheeda was working and she was great! I was able to reserve a unit while out of state and move into the unit early to help reduce back and forth traveling. She was extremely nice and the price for the storage unit size, AMAZING!!! $35 a month for a 5 x 10 indoor unit. That's what I call an unbeatable price. Although you don't have 24/7 access, they are open EVERYDAY so that alone makes up for it. While their indoor units are not climate control, the price and security are what's necessary. I'm glad to have a unit with them and it's one of the best services I have received. read more

These guy are great. My motor home had a tire go flat. They called me while on vacation and asked if I would mind if they filled it. I said no, and thanked them for letting me know. The facility is extremely clean and priced better than any other facility in town. THANK YOU GUYS AGAIN. read more

I gave a 5 star review when Melanie and Alyce worked in the office. Now, I would like to give 0 stars!! The new office person cannot be contacted via phone. She hasn't fixed the voice message machine (it DOES NOT take messages!) and when I went during business hours the office was closed without any notification via voice message machine. I arrived to access my storage units and did not know a code was required. I had to wait for someone to enter so that I could access my units. Called multiple times Monday morning and the answering machine was still not taking messages and no one answered. UNACCEPTABLE. Tried to contact the parent company but there wasn't a number on the website and I did not find the number on a google search. I will be looking for a new storage company that actually values their customers!! read more

Their friendly nature and willingness to help out or resolve any problem you might have is indeed noteworthy. If it's a tool you need for a quick fix on your coach, or liquid wrench for a stubborn lock, they are right there to lend assistance. I couldn't be happier with this place. Everyone here is really kind. We had our storage here for a year and would continue to if we didn't move out of state. I came back to sort through and clean out the unit. It was very emotional to go through the memories. John and his staff would come by the unit and check on me to make sure I was ok. It was so hot, they were always offering cold waters to me. They are very aware of who's on property. I had a friend come and help me. They came to see who they were as they didn't sign in. Made me feel like everything here is in good hands. If this was the end of the review it would be enough...but it's not.. John has this love for dogs...huge supporter of dog rescue. As someone who rescues and fosters, this is big to me. So all you dog lovers...go meet the cutest darned retriever ever and fellow dog lover. Lastly, it's a small business so you're keeping your money local...that's very important too. I can't say enough about them. I wish more folks ran their businesses like these guys do! read more

Can't say enough about the staff and their facility. We all know how good customer service is becoming a relic of the past....not at American Mini Storage. These people exceed expectations every visit with their "treat you like family" attitude. The facility is always clean and well taken care of, the staff friendly and have great attitudes, you get more space for the money as well as piece of mind that your belongings are safe. There's even a really nice, friendly Yellow Lab that greets you...who in my opinion represents this business very well. read more
