They raised my rent $45 right as COVID-19 hit. I live in another state now and had planned to move everything in March/April but when Corona shut everything down...I had to wait. Now I've had to pay 3 months at a ridiculously inflated rent. Shameful...sad...and pathetic. WONT EVER USE PUBLIC STORAGE AGAIN! Thank God for extra space and decent human beings during times of crisis. Way to scam your customers during a pandemic. read more

My experience was awful with Daisy and the DM Manager Fernando on Tuesday. I found myself underestimating the ubit space needed and approached Daisy with a transfer request. I handed her my driver's license but I didnt realize my driver's license was my old expired one and not the current one nor did I know where it could be. Daisy said she understood but if I had at least a picture i.d she could work with that so i proceeded to find one as well as a check with my info and a state issued I'd . She said she had to ask her dm for aproval . He was on speaker and said no so then she said she couldn't and he would go on comparing renting an apartment without a current i.d. to a transfer of unit (when I already had a unit there). It was upsetting because I not only had enough identification as well as confirmation of payment email, Access code and confirmation text as well as the keys to my unit, which made it more than credible and yet he was rude and I said fine I guess I'll do with the unit I have and Daisy ironically said "I tried to help you Sylvia" which I thought made it an even bigger joke that they were questioning my identity when she never questioned it before talking to him. So instead of getting helped I was put though an unnecessary and uncomfortable experience. DONT SAVE THE FEW BUCKS DOFFERENCE AND GO CADDY CORNER TO EXTRA SPACE STORAGE. You get what you pay for. read more

My family rented 2 storage units recently at the Bloomington facility...we've used other places in the past but this place is the best! Clean, spacious and convenient if you live in this area, definitely the place you want to go. The best part is the manager, Ramona, who is kind, patient and always takes the time to make us comfortable and happy. Today I went to Public Storage to get a storage unit for some childhood possessions that are dear to me. I met Ramona who was the rep there. I must say I was very pleased with the service I got. She was fast, efficient and knew what she was doing. I was in and out in the matter of minutes. She explains everything to me with complete knowledge of everything she was saying, which is hard to find in today's world. The staff was nice at this facility but this review is about Public Storage in general. When I got to the facility, what they don't tell you before you get there is that they "require" you to have insurance on your items. If your homeowner's policy doesn't cover your storage facility (which most don't) then you're stuck paying an extra $11-15 on top of your monthly fee. Also, Public Storage seems to have an extremely heavy-handed sales approach to their business. Of the Public Storage facilities that I called to inquire about prices, I got the hard sell from their managers trying to upgrade me to a larger unit, or try to sell me boxes, packing supplies, and locks. I'll give them credit for maintaining clean, secure facilities, but I could do without the high-pressure sales pitch. read more
