Absolutely terrible. The unit flooded they barely did anything about it except for brought people in to help move stuff out to be thrown away. It still smells like mold months after the flooding. The AC barely works in the climate controlled area. The managers never call back. I have had to use the automated system and barely can get through to somebody on that. I rented a 10 x 15 unit at Public Storage with lock provided by them. This is the first time I attempted to access my storage after I originally place my boxes and my furniture. The key they provided does not work because the lock is faulty. Originally they blamed on us saying we have the wrong key. This is a very particular and unique lock, and we only have the keys they gave us. Those keys fit in but don't open. The local managers, Cesar and José, gave us a run around all day until I had to physically go to a public storage facility to give authorization for somebody to get the replacement keys for the new lock. Now, after spending all day trying to get the things from storage and having rented a truck for $250 which I lost, they are telling me that they will not replace the lock until hopefully next Tuesday. The local managers hung up the phone a number for times and the district manager did not have the courtesy of calling to get this issue resolved. I am paying to have my belongings stored and have access to them. They are rude, incompetent and argumentative. Stay away from these people!!! read more

Horrible location! Facility is not maintained. The roof on my unit is leaking which has damaged all my things. This is the second time where the roof or lack of a roof has caused me to lose my belongings. Management has done nothing to help me. In the end, I had to move out of that facility. read more

They do have a facility. And the storage unit will be clean when you go. But after they give you a lock with the key, the key won't fit. They will blame you for not having the right key. And when you complain, they will hang up on you. Then you will call someone else who will hang up on you. Then you will spend an entire day calling people out for help. They will all hang up on you. You will call other people. They will not call you back. You will call and call and call no one will help. You will do all sorts of forms. You will lose money doing all sorts of things they will not help you. So if you want to be ripped off, use these people. If you want to deal with crooks, then use these people if you don't want to be ripped off, don't use them. read more

Hi there, I would like to share with you that this Public Storage location has the best staff I have ever interacted with both via phone call and in-person. Connie and Robert are both fantastic at their job duties and knowledge of the differences between storage with climate control (air conditioning) and outdoor. My father went in-person to view the storage unit with Connie while I spoke with Connie over the phone on how to process the e-rental application online to reserve the unit. Thankfully Robert was there on the day of storage move-in and shared with us the policies, the COVID-19 rules to wear masks and sanitize hands, the cleaning & sterilizing routine, the code to open the electronic gate access for the moving company truck, how to open the unit with the key, and the benefits of the Orange Door Storage Insurance Program. We are so happy we chose the Public Storage located 21288 Biscayne Blvd. I will absolutely recommend Connie and Robert in the near future to all my friends and family members who need a storage. I have rented a small unit since Feb 2017. During This time I have had four separate rate increases. My rent has increased from 133 a month to 196 a month over a period of less than 18 months. The units themselves have a low ceiling, limiting storage space. Air conditioning is present but barely adequate. Moving carts are often hard to find. To their credit, the public aisles are kept clean. I am sorry I have rented with public storage. They have more frequent rate increases and lower quality storage space compared to other companies I used before moving to my current location. read more

I had a tricky situation with a storage unit shared with my ex boyfriend. Had to have the lock cut off and everything, but the staff here were so sympathetic and helpful, I highly recommend. Jolanda, Connie and the supervisor (I think her name was Alicia) and the regional manager John were all super friendly and took care of me when things got crazy. Public storage has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I've received better service at the Post Office. I have had my things in storage for about 2 years at this location and I was late on a payment, made the payment and they cut the lock off my unit anyway! WTF!! They also made me buy a new lock even though they cut it in error. I am a single mom, so I have to wait until I can move my things out of there. HORRIBLE SERVICE and I am paying about $190 per month for a 10x11. They've raised the price twice while I've been there! TOTAL RIP OFF! read more

The move in was fast at the Aventura location. However, front desk NEVER answered the phone after I moved in and had questions. Never returned calls from their voicemail. I had a few questions and couldn't get thru. In order To schedule my move out i had to call the 800# they seem to avoid calling me back to do the final inspection. I had to show up in person. They are good at getting you in there and then they will dump you. I like a good experience from start to finish. If i need a unit later on i wont go back to this one. read more

Once in the office, Peggy was extremely helpful and showed me the storage unit to make sure it would meet my needs. Once I was OK whit this one, we went back to fill out the paperwork. She explained all the paperwork and made the whole process very easy. She was clear, concise, and very efficient. Customer service was great and Peggy was excellent! The facilities are very clean. However, the rates are higher than other storage places due to its location in Aventura. I plan to stay there more than a year. Hopefully, this will not increase at all or too much. First off, that first month free ad is bs. I don;t know how they did it, but I ended up finagled into paying full price for the storage unit when it was said and done. I booked online for a $99 monthly special and ended up paying $179. Don;t ask me how, but when all their taxes, fees, and the forced storage unit insurance fee and now their b*****t "rental tax, that is the resulting monthly fee. When I first signed for the unit, the employee who looked as though she had just gotten out of her stint in the women's penitentiary and reeked of cigarette smoke thought she would slip in some charges for boxes that I did not but. I guess she thought I couldn't read since she was probably used to pulling slight-handed stunts in her previous "home." The manager at the Biscayne Aventura location, Alicia, refunded me the boxes, but insisted that the one month free charge was included. I ended up paying $139 for the first month. Hmmm, doesn't seem free to me. To add insult to injury, I went back a few months later to downgrade to smaller unit because of their new price hike. When went to ask Miss Alicia a question, she ignored me completely as I stood in front of her with two employees on either side. I tried to get her attention to no avail. She was too busy measuring her vital signs and stress level on an app. Interesting. I will call corporate to let them know about this misadventure. In summation, if you have a friend, a relative, a friend of your friend's relative that you can store your goods at, do so. Pay them money instead of PublicStorage. read more
