I paid a $100 deposit, electronically signed the estimate they sent, and fully disclosed key details before booking, including that the move involved stairs and that the elevator at the destination building was out of service. These details were discussed directly with their representative (Tony) prior to the move date. Despite this, when the movers arrived, they attempted to impose additional charges on site that contradicted what had been discussed and agreed to. When I refused to approve unauthorized charges ($400), the movers left the job site without completing any work and without notifying me that they were leaving. Afterward, the company claimed the move was canceled due to "site conditions" and alleged inappropriate behavior, which was never documented at the time and only raised after I disputed the situation. They later confirmed in writing that they canceled the move and provided no services, yet still refused to refund the $100 deposit. What's most concerning is: * No written change order was provided * No formal cancellation notice was given at the time * No services were rendered * The deposit was kept despite the company canceling the job Instead of taking responsibility, the company shifted explanations multiple times and relied on technical language about estimates and policies after the fact. That was after they decided not to answer my calls and dodge me. This experience was unprofessional, disorganized, and unfair.
