Decided to use this to put a few things away at my parents home and ended up at Safeguard Self…read moreStorage. The storage unit comes in different sizes, and you can change later to a smaller or larger unit. It's very clean inside. And very helpful staff, the entire process didn't take long, but a few minutes, which was nice. They also have carts you can use to move items from your car to the unit, but ask that you return them to the area where you picked them up. But when I went back a few days later to move items into the unit, one of the elevators was down, leaving only 1 working. And you can't use the stairs, saw a sign that the opening exit would sound the alarm, which was a bit of a hassle, as a few other customers were moving stuff at the same time. No cart was available, which made the process a bit longer. But overall, I'm happy with deciding to use them.

Even though they send out invoices and text messages and emails to let you know when your bill is due and how much .Ms. S. Lightbourne and Leo go the extra mile and will give you a personal call if they see it's coming close to your bill due date and you haven't responded. If that's not going over and Beyond offering customer service tell their consumers then I don't know what is KUDOS TO YOU!

**AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!** **CAVEAT EMPTOR! **…read moreThese people are absolutely ruthless and back asswards. Not only will they REFUSE to work with you should you need any sort of wiggle room in terms of payment flexibility, in terms of when, how much, where, and how, but should you have multiple units, as I do (did...? Hard to tell. Read on!), they will confuse payments to units, misapplying a payment designated for a particular unit, and erroneously, perhapos intentionally, apply it to a unit that would not require payment. And, they wuill do this FOR MONTHS, such that one (or more) units go into default, forcing you to either catch that unit up or have it spold, only after having HEAVY fees and extra costs added on to the bill, so that even if you WANT to bring a unit that was in arrears (from THEIR erroneous, intentional misapplication of funds designated for the unit in question to a different unit, as is the case in my account), you'll be SMACKED IN THE FACE WITH DOUBLE TO COST (!), consequently making it prohibitively expensive to bring the account current. Then they will sell your unit at auction for a fraction of the bill they send the renter! Moreover, you will see big, bold, highlighted red warning messages, as I did, at the top of your account page stating "We are unable to process your payment by Checking Account because of your account status. Please pay by Card Payment method or visit your nearest property.×" and "We are unable to process your payment by Card Payment method. Please pay by Checking Account or visit your nearest property." SIMULTANEOUSLY! God forbid you're out of the state where the units are located (or country, as I am, for essential job functions)...No breaks! They will liquidate your unit, no flexibility. Forget about working WITH the customer! These people are in the business of stocking flea markets and 2nd hand stores with YOUR belongings, regardless of their sentimentality or value, just as fast as you can say WAIT! I'M TRYING TO PAY! Believe me...AVOID THIS COMPANY and opt for a reasonable, customer friendly, flexible storage facility that actually cares about their customers and their belongings stored there. Public Storage is a public NUISANCE, and I would venture to say their business practices are not only immoral, but border on CRIMINAL, and certainly ACTIONABLE in most cases. Take it from me...I have prepared suit and will likely win by all rights and measures, and in the face of the draconian conmtract these heathens force upon their would-be customers, whom they treat more like victims...AVOID AVOID AVOID! I can't urge this enough, short of publicizing what happened in my case, and typically how they treat all who fall for the "First Month FREE!" sucker punch. It will result in the loss of anything you store with these thieves.

For one year the bathrooms/water have been out of order 90% of the time. Lights in hallway didn't…read morework on my move out date so I had to pay for another month. They frequently change hours without email notification. On my move out date they had the gate system disabled so I had to go to the office next door to open the gate for each car load I needed to move. Total ripoff. AC next to my unit didn't work for the entire year I have been there. Rude staff that shouts in angry tone asking what you're doing while waiting for your ride. Are they serious? Roaches, homeless people pee outside because no open restroom. Extremely hot and smelly. They never answer the phone and rarely return messages. What a nightmare it's been. Mirada is an eye roller that tell you you must have an appointment to have access to your belongings. That sure wasn't in the contract. Horrendous hassle at every turn. I would def win a lawsuit because they violated the contract so much.
