How are all the reviews on here 5 stars?!? Highly unlikely when their website / Facebook page & BBB reviews all state the same issue. Very unprofessional employees. In my case Tracey at Spectrum Location lied on several occasions, not to mention the first time i stopped in, she was hiding in the back with all the lights off. I spoke with Tracey 3 times...I was lied to in all 3 instances. I'm pretty sure she skimmed my CC info as well. I rec'd a call from my bank about a fraud purchase attempt the day after i signed up for a storage rental unit with Tracey. The bank confirmed it was the same card i used for Public Storage & gave me the stores where the attempted fraud took place. After speaking with both clothing stores, they gave me a description of the customer attempting to use my info and it was surprisingly identical to Tracey at the Spectrum location. That plus the timing of my visit to public storage along with all the issues I've experienced with Tracey since, leads me to believe that Tracey not only lies but she steals your information and in turn attempts to steal your money too... Have yet to rec' a reply from Corporate in regards to the Fraud. Can't say I'm surprised based on my previous experiences. Piece of advice to all who are thinking about renting here; spend the extra money on gas and go somewhere else. read more

Ms. Susan is the GEM of Public Storage!!! I have used many storage facilities and have dealt with numerous managers, and not one of them compares to the customer service that is always provided by her. Susan is just as professional and courteous today, as she was 1 year ago when we started renting our unit. She's quick to respond to any issues that we have had, and always has a smile on her face. The property is always well maintained, including being a pest free environment. This location also provides climate controlled storage units, and are very secure. The use of the flat beds are a wonderful addition to aid in moving items from our vehicle up to our unit. And the use of the elevator made moving in a breeze as well! I'd recommend this location to any and everyone who are in search of a storage facility! If you're looking for great rates, climate controlled and a secure location with a WONDERFUL office manager then this is the location you should visit. If I were able to give this more than 5 stars I would have done so, and the additional stars would all be contributed to Susan who makes this place what it is! read more

In the market for storage and stopped by this location to rent a storage locker. When I got there, I noticed that they were undergoing some renovations to the already nice facility. Apparently the ownership had changed to Public Storage. I had gotten information in the past from the old owners, and was interested in the location because of its 24 hour access. Public Storage does not allow 24 access. When I spoke with Angela at Public Storage, she was very knowledgeable and helpful. She explained the reasons behind their policy in a way that I was ale to understand. Unfortunately, due to the nature of my business, I require 24 hour access. Otherwise, I would have definitely taken my business here. Angela's attitude and level of professionalism were a refreshing change to bad service I seem to stumble upon more often than not. Thanks Angela! You really know your stuff. I strongly encourage anyone in the market for storage that is not needing 24 hour access to bring their business here. read more

I've never rented a storage unit before, and renting at this Public Storage location on Spectrum (N Austin) was totally painless! VERY friendly staff - thank you so much, Tracy and Susan and Angela, for making it so easy to get setup. The units are in excellent condition, air conditioned, and relatively easy to get to with large elevators on two sides of the property (that I know of - there may be more, but I just noticed two large elevators). Anyway, just wanted to comment on the great service I received (I initially registered online, and IMMEDIATELY got a follow up call, in case I had questions, and to set up a date/time to make the initial visit. Susan is ostensibly nice & helpful, but her boss and whoever runs the show are fucking uptight and selfish sons of bitches. They do not care for their customers when it comes to a payment error given to them, even if it's something tangible and understandable. They're strict and uptight on their policies, and all they care about is earning money even if it fucks the customer over no matter what. Usually other companies give a freebie or a fee waive for reasonable occasions. If you make business with them, you better pray nothing goes wrong otherwise they'll turn their back on you. I have been at this facility since 2004 when it was under a different ownership. From then until my final day this past weekend July, 2015, I had and have had a wonderful experience with the staff and facility as a whole. Susan and Erika are very helpful with a true customer service professional personality. My transition in vacating was as smooth as anything could be. This facility has always been clean and SAFE! Needless to say, I can vouch to that because of the longevity of having my personal things stored here. Keep up the good work ladies! Susan - thank you for always being so kind and helpful. We rented a unit at this facility for about two years. Very clean building and staff (Susan and Erika) are helpful and knowledgeable. We were on the third floor which may be a bit hotter than the other floors, but everything that was heat or cold sensitive was fine when we moved the items out recently. The only time you may have difficulty getting a pushcart is during peak times (some evenings and perhaps when school starts). We generally visited during the daytime hours on weekdays and never had a problem finding a cart. Highly recommend this facility. read more

Very happy with our storage experience at this location. Slowly merging two houses into a new third house, we needed three 10x20 units for a few months, and each time I had to go in to get an additional unit, Susan was very helpful in getting us set up. And then when we were finally able to start emptying out the units, Erika did a fantastic job wrapping up our contracts. I would not hesitate to use this location if I ever needed storage again, and, in fact, I might go out of my way to use it, simply due to the great customer service experience. read more

Great great service!! I already had two units at this facility, and suddenly found myself in need of a third unit ASAP due to unforseen cimcumstances. I called Susan, who helped me through the reservation process and then took a lot of extra time to assist my daughter who had to make the move on my behalf. Susan even went the extra mile to contact me prior to my payment being due and helped me set up auto pay. I can definitely highly recommend this facility and I truly appreciate all the extra effort that Susan put forth. read more

Susan made the registration experience pretty seamless. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes and now have my own climate-controlled storage space! Went through Express Check-In online and got the $1 special. Check whether you need the circular lock ($17) and storage insurance (check your home insurance policy - but if you're moving, that's moot). She explained everything patiently and completely! I just rented a storage unit and from the very start, all the ladies (Angela, Tracey and later Susan) were extremely friendly and helpful. I mostly worked with Angela and she went over everything completely making everything clear. I was made to feel like we all have been good friends for years. When my son recently moved home after graduating college, I needed a small storage unit for his stuff. I called and made a reservation on line, drove over there and found everything as stated and Susan at the desk could not have been more helpful. They provide plenty of carts to move the items in and it is easy to come and go as needed. read more

Just sharing some information I just learned after we moved out. You are charged for a full month regardless when you move out. They do not prorate. Very disappointing. This is just one more way to nickle and dime good people who have used them and paid every month for over a year. Will not consider them next time we need storage. read more
