If I didn't have witnesses to verify what I say is true,I wouldn't believe myself- but the mindbaffling truth is I have been accused being on the property when my gate codes were not working correctly-tho I notified the office & requested new codes and nothing done- then suddenly I was evicted for being at the facility after hours ! I had proof it was not true whereas they did not have proof of my presence ( no video bc it did not happen). They let me stay. Then my access hours suddenly restricted bc of 'loitering' (tho I have 4 large units and am very focussed on agenda at hand while there, and am hours & actions are NO DIFFERENT than other customers( well except the ones who partly live in their units- but no one seems to mind that activity?). I specifically requested a guideline to follow so I may respectfully be compliant & to satisfy any gray areas , tho nothing ever provided. A couple months later I am accused of stealing from another unit and immediately evicted (again). They had no evidence bc it didn't happen! I had proof of finding the makeup and makeup brushes on the side of the road in a green space near the back exit gate PLUS returned to owner at the moment the owner claimed them (she left her unit unlocked for a month and stuff had been taken -tho public storage did not notice no lock during their daily lock checks for A MONTH???) I also stepped aside and allowed the owner and staff member have full access to my unit to search without restrictions or questions asked. But I still had to move out bc of the "previous incidents with me" ( the incidents where I've been falsely accused and penalized for things I did not do- providing proof of my innocence each time). I couldn't afford to move 4 10x30 units on a two week notice so I transferred title to a friend and made me an authorized person on the account. All is well for about 2 weeks when I was leaving the gate malfunctioned (again) and rapidly began closing, the eye for it to stop when a vehicle is crossing over did not work, and it collided into my front fender knocking it off the rail. I put it back on the rail. And was going to talk to the office the next day, but instead , I was called and told I am banned from the property because ' they got me on video hitting the gate' plus it'll cost me $15,000 to fix! There wasn't anything to fix! And when I ,again, stated my side providing details supporting my innocence, I was told it's also bc of the other incidents ( AGAIN, incidents that never happened! Were untrue. Falsely accused. They owe ME many apologies but I've never asked anything but to stop harassing me and let me pay for my 4 units in peace!). But wait! That's not all! There were months where my account was reflecting incorrect financial info- approx $750 I paid seemingly disappeared. Also I was a victim of two significant thefts ( a customer bought approx $2000 of my things -a customer the management introduced to me for making the sell- and didn't pay or return the items : instead, threatened me via texts that I tried to turn over to management but they weren't interested nor did anything about it or to him. ( yet, I've been evicted 3 times and banned for ZERO activity that violates any rules or lease!). Then my CAR was stolen with my phone and wallet etc by a known trespasser I reported many times but nothing done- including when my car was stolen while on Public Storage property!) I also am disabled. I need access to certain items in the units ( I have always paid on time each month, and continue to do so tho I am banned from the property now). I've been targeted and my kindness taken advantage of. The accusations are conveyed thru to the top senior execs as true, and no one will extend the courtesy to hear my side or consider the info I sent in numerous emails ( they blocked my address so no one read them !). I am seeking police and legal help now. read more

The customer service people are NEVER on premises. We have been to our unit approximately 10 times and only once has there been an attendant available. We have called many times, only to get the answering machine. While we're there, multiple people drive up to the gates, looking for help- and there is none. Nevermind the homeless people living in the units. And the urine in the elevators. Do yourself a favor. Go elsewhere. read more

Management has done nothing. Moreover, a known culprit was hitting multiple units for 1+ years posing as a PS employee and nothing was done about it until this past Labor Day 2023. This past weekend barbed wire was put up on top of the moving entrance gate. Meanwhile the adjacent gates are left as it. This is pure idiocy and negligent behavior. 2- The basement level has a mold infestation that cannot be remediated. If you are storing stuff in the basement you should check your units immediately. If your items have been stolen or destroyed because of mold, please contact me. Grounds for class-action are present. read more

After moving in a returned to my locker a few weeks later and my key would not work and it was apparent my lock had been cut and replaced i asked the front and they said my lock was not replaced. They told me a lady comes once a month to cut locks but unsure when she was coming this month and i was not allowed to cut it myself. I was so confused and started to believe an employee broke into my locker then replaced the lock as the new lock was another public storage brand whereas my key fit but wouldnt turn. Long story short my locker was ransacked and robbed and they are acting like its my fault and no help i have called everyone !! So frustrating! read more

The way corporate organization handles their rent policies is incredibly disrespectful to their renters. I have had my rent raised twice in 6 months - now over $150 more per month than my original price, with no explanation why the rent rate is going up. Classic bait and switch where they lure you in with reasonable/low cost per month and then ruthlessly up the rent every few months. When i called in to find out why i was told that is just how they do business and that rent would keep going up. So much for loyalty to your long term customers who pay rent every month. Renter beware! I was a long term customer out of necessity. Finally able to move out. Informed staff that I was moving out. Rent was late but had been paid. I was told that my space was locked and I could not gain access until I paid the following month's rent. Which I didn't need, however I need to clean out my things so I paid. Fast forward to the end of the month. Had three items that I couldn't get moved. Had someone go back to retrieve those last items. It is now the 1st of the month and space is completely clear. They have charged me an entire month on an empty space because of the one day. They have refused to prorate. You would think the notice and actual completely clearing the space was a good thing with the way people skip out. Guess not. They treat loyal customers like crap!!!! I set up my unit online. When I arrived, the front gate was broken. There was a LARGE area of water in the main covered area. There were no carts available to move large items (there are only three, which are locked in the main office, and you have to be lucky enough to catch someone in the office to give you one in exchange for your drivers license..... and good luck returning it because again - the person with your license locked it up and went to do other things on the property with no way to contact them). There's only one elevator and there is no stair access to the basement level. The basement level reeked of mildew and my unit had a puddle of water in it. The lady working was nice enough to switch my unit to third floor. We luckily got a cart after 30 min, but gad to rush so that we could return it by 5p in order to get our license back when she closed out. A few days later I got a call from the facility asking if I put the lock on my unit. I was confused because I had to buy the lock from them and I was sure I locked it. They were asking because they were putting stickers on locks of units that the owners confirmed they locked themselves....that was not comforting. When I came to get some boxes out a couple weeks later, the front gate was working. But there still was a large mass of water to maneuver around, and the office was closed/locked during business hours. After a couple trips we found the lady but she told us we couldn't have a cart because she wasn't in the office...... we had to wait 20 minutes for her to finish her rounds. Once we got a cart she said we better be quick because she'll be gone for an hour and we will be stuck with the cart and no license. We decided to empty our unit that day. The inconvenience and the fact I couldn't guarantee my stuff was safe was enough to cancel the unit. read more

We highly recommend this rental company mainly because of the wonderful manager named Sylvia. She goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is taken care of and all needs are met. Any issues that may have occurred during our stay, she handled them with a cheery and can do attitude leading to a very satisfactory solution for us. She is kind, helpful, solution oriented and a joy to work with. We just moved our belonging out of the unit this past week so we will miss seeing this wonderful ray of sunshine named Sylvia. I've been a Public Storage renter for several years at the Westminster location at Piedmont Rd. A few months ago I arrived at my storage unit to find my lock cut off and one of the public storage lock installed. I of course checked my account to insure I was current which I was. I was confused that my lock was cut off and started to try to get hold of someone to find out what occurred. After calling Public Storage corporate, I was told I would have to speak to the on site manager. The manager did not arrived to work until 10:30 a.m. I was told by the on site manager that there had been a break in and several units were broken into. I was not called about this event and was not present so the police could interview me. It had been 3-5 days since the event. I asked the manager if they got the thieves on video and was told their cameras did not cover the area where my storage unit was. I've been a Public Storage renter for several years at the Westminster location at Piedmont Rd. I would not recommend trusting Public Storage at all to provide a safe place to store your belongings. I wouldnt recommend this storage facility. My unit was broken into and I've never received a response from anyone at the physical location nor from corporate. I was in the middle of a home renovation, so my options of leaving afterward were a bit limited. I believed my items were safe since the unit was on a lower level, required a code to enter and cameras were installed at the doors and elevators. Unfortunately, those camera's "weren't working" at the time of the break in. I am out thousands of dollars, never heard from anyone at Public Storage, but they kept drafting the $600 a month for rent. Consider somewhere else! read more

Jacqueline, the manager, is the biggest liar, scammer and con artist that you ever did see. The reason they have good reviews is because she insists on you doing them at the initial meeting, while she's still pretending to be a decent person. Once she gets it she turns on you and reveals what a snake she really is. The don't fully disclose all the fees and policies. Those are tucked away in mounds of paperwork. They nickel and dime you every step of the way. Raised rate significantly after only a few months. They harass you constantly. They have no concept of customer service. They cut your lock off If you're late paying them. They go through your belongings. Jaqueline is such a liar, who asked me for an emergency contact in the event of my death and then used the number to call about my account. When I contacted her about it, in true Jacqueline bs form, she called the number an emergency/alternate number. These are the sleaziest most disgusting people I've ever encountered. I hate doing business with them as they are only out to cheat customers. The facility is filthy, hot, inconvenient, hard to get in and out of, doesn't feel safe, smelly, and just horrific! Place is supposedly open and run by a manager in the office until 5pm on Sundays. We were coming to get into a new storage united and waited in front of the gate with a UHaul full of stuff for over an hour. No staff when they were open (sign on the door that said they would be back by 4pm; we arrived at 3:30pm...), ended up having to pay more for the UHaul I rented because no one was on the property to let us into our new storage unit we had paid for already. Very unreliable and super frustrating to get here, during business hours, after moving all day and no one was on site to set us in. read more

Staff is nice and professional but if you need frequent access to your belongings do not use this location. The access hours were recently reduced from 6 am - 9pm to 6 am - 6pm. There is no estimated date for hours to be restored to normal. Good luck trying to get here after work to grab anything. Spend a little more and go to another location. read more

If you're looking for storage, I assure you, this place is not worth 4 stars. It's literally the last place you should choose, as there are at least 10 others within a 2-mile radius to pick from. Don't take my word for it, though. Just let your eyes, and instincts, be the judge when looking at the facility and dealing with this staff. I pulled my stuff out of here after only 29 days -- and that is saying a lot, because I hate moving stuff. It's easy to just leave your belongings there and forget about it, but this location -- and company -- do not deserve a penny of my money. Overall: A ridiculous staff, dingy facilities, bad cart policy and questionable security. Staff Yikes. The manager Jacqueline was OK on signing up. She did hit us up aggressively for a Yelp review right away, which is why this place likely gets two or three more stars on average that it deserves, but there was nothing to really complain about in a public forum like Yelp. Well, there was the dingy feel, the untrained staff and the faucet that fell off into my hand. But more on that later. On my second trip, to unload our belongings, we ran into the lovely Lakeshia. We got there at 430, 30 minutes before closing, and you could tell Lakeshia was none too pleased that we were unloading our stuff so late. You have to get the cart from her, and her body language, lack of eye contact, facial expression and tone of voice showed that she was upset at us for arriving later than she would've liked. She only gave us one cart. She asked me multiple times if I had a lock. It took me a minute to find it, and I got annoyed at her asking me so many times. I told her to give me a minute, and she had a snarky comeback, quipped that I need not be so stressed "honey," and shook her shoulders and head and left without saying anything after that. As I was unloading, my fiance rushed up there with the cart so she could close at 5. Lakeshia went on -- unabated -- about my attitude! It angered my GF so much she went back with a recorder and recorded her. I don't think she's ever done anything like that. Corporate office: I have this recording, and we sent it to Jacqueline (with no response) if you want to hear it. It's nowhere near the attitude she displayed the first time, but it will give you a glimpse into the type of customer service mentality she has. Jacqueline went on AGAIN about me having "an attitude" and yada yada yada. If I did have "an attitude," it was only after HER attitude. But that shouldn't matter. I'm the customer and have a right within reason to not be in the best of moods, especially when dealing with an employee who has no earthly business being in customer service. As my fiance said, you can tell when someone is having a bad day and when someone shouldn't be in a line of work, and in our very strong view, it's the latter. And for the record, we were out of there at 5 on the nose. So, Lekeshia didn't even have to work an extra minute. Also for the record: We likely would've stayed if the manager apologized and made things right. Between this ridiculous experience, and our interpretation of the security, we pulled the plug fast. My fiance called the corporate office about this experience and they couldn't be bothered either! And no one ever responded to the three respectful and rational emails we sent. I'll be glad to share these emails and voice recording with anyone in the corporate office. Tip: Your retail employees are the tip of the spear. Pay them well, train them well, and for God's sake, hire the right people. Facilities Let's start with the fact that when I used the bathroom for the first time, the faucet literally came off in my hand. No joke. The entire place looks like a New York City subway ... in the 80s. For a storage unit in Morningside -- one of the most desirable neighborhoods in ATL -- I'm surprised Public Storage has not spent the bucks to freshen it up. Carts They require you to sign one out. That means, if you come in past 5, you're SOL. Also, since the place was in my GF's name, I have to show my driver's license and go through a rigamoro to get one, even though my stuff is in there. I've never had to jump through hoops to get a lousy cart before. Security Take this for what it's worth, but I was not impressed with the security. A short hop over the short fence, and a thief is golden IMO. The door to the units is held open with a knotted rope. There did not appear to be too many cameras. Then, the units themselves appear to be flimsier than my previous one at Uncle Bob's and my current one. Full disclosure: This is opinion, not fact, as I am not a security expert, but you can be your own judge. Bottom line: We did not feel our stuff was safe there, between our visual interpretation of the security and our observation of the staff. If you do decide to do business with these guys, by all means don't show up at 430 the first time. read more

Still waiting to see how claim works out, but they destroyed some of my stuff due to failing AC. I live out of state and it took them 4 days to open unit and longer for them to respond to insurance company. If you do use this company, do NOT use their insurance as they lie on how process works. They do not coordinate at all including when it's their fault, make you come and do all the photography, pricing, and it appears I am going to have to contest the deductible. Also be ready for them to auto-increase your cost every three months for first year. Sticker price will go up quickly. read more

We rented a 10 x 10 unit that was supposed to be $133. The one we received what is a different unit in a different area 9' x 7' for $166. When we protested we were told The measurements are approximate. 9' x 7' is not approximately 10 x 10. So far I've been billed $16 and $25 with no explanation in addition to the $166 rent. So far this looks to me like a classic bait and switch scam. read more

The WORST Public Storage in Atlanta, or atleast in the Midtown area from my recent moving experience. I'll keep it short, here's why this place is a NO: 1. BAD ATTITUDE: The woman who manages the place has one of the most disgusting attitudes I've ever witnessed. She does this "fake nice" thing, where she gets an attitude with you and says mean things, but keep and upbeat tone and smile to soften the blow.... yea, NO, not over here buddy. Poor customer service. She seems to micromanage the other employees 2. NO WORKING DOCKS: While I was there I saw about 3 customers inquire about their docks. They do NOT work and haven't in nearly a year. This means you may get a unit that says "floor level" online, but in fact you will have to use an elevator, because the back docks don't work. 3. UPSELL, SELL, SELL: At every move and every moment they were trying to force extra products on me: tape, boxes, locks, bubble wrap, insurance, tape... literally would not stop trying to sell me. It was SOOOO annoying. The bad thing is that they use words that make you think you have to get it. YOU DON'T. They will try to push everything on you like its a requirement... it is not. Don't be scared to say no. 4. RENT A LOCK: They're so bad at this location that they even try to make you rent the lock each month, HAHAHA. Rent a lock! They have the round special sort of disc lock at this location, which sucks. They tell you that it's the only kind that will fit so they try to rent you there's for like $10+ a month. You can buy it online, or they could just sell it to you one time like all the other Public Storages do, but nope. They try to nickel and dime you at every corner. 5. OLD and DINGY: This Public Storage is across from Ansley Park, one of the most prestigious neighborhoods in America. Yet they have this old, dusty, no dock working, bad attitude at the front desk, just completely bad of a place. It makes NO sense at all. They need to redo this whole place and get things working. SUMMARY: Some of the reviews are fake and paid for, fact! I would highly recommend you trying somewhere else before here. Make this your last choice. read more

This review is primarily aimed at Public Storage regional or corporate office. Silvia and the other members of the on-site team are helpful and responsive. Corporate on the other hand has not responded to calls and emails that I have sent regarding a loading dock door that has been broken for more than two months. I've attached a picture below taken today (5/5/20) for reference. When I called last week to inquire on when the door would be fixed I was told that corporate decided that it would not be. Without access to this loading dock that leaves only 1 loading dock for the entire side of the building. The decision to not fix this door is unacceptable. Had I known this lack of regard for customer satisfaction I would have rented space elsewhere. read more

I enjoyed having my stuff stored here are about a year. Easy access most of the time. Sometimes the staff was out of the office when I wanted to grab a cart, but they usually came back soon enough. One time they didn't have any carts available, so one of the employees came with me to help carry stuff to my car. I drove in from out of state to grab a few items from my storage unit. Unfortunately, with Atlanta traffic...I did not arrive to Public Storage until ten minutes after the office was suppose to close. Thankfully, the manager on duty, Toy was still there and just about to leave. Without any hesitation or agitation, she went out of her way by to accommodate my specific situation, by staying after she was suppose to be off work for the evening! I have rented a unit here for 3 years and and am planning to move out this month. The unit is clean and well lit but the services leaves a lot to be desired sycu asL 1) Key pad on front gate is broken and you cannot tell when you are entering numbers. has been this way for over a month. Very annoying ! 2) There are not enough hand carts and staff make no attempt to round them up(they tell you to "go look" or locate one for you so you spend time wondering around the different areas and floor trying to find a cart.. 3) The doors cannot be propped open (Broken mechanisms for 3 plus years) so if you are alone pushing a cart it is very hard to manage the carts and the door especially if you are a woman 4) The bathroom is kept locked ...again very annoying and means you cannot use it after the office is closed. 5) No accommodation for trash for customers so had to break down and haul away my moving boxes. Not the level of service nor attention to facility that I have seen in other facilities read more

I'm happy to say I'm finally moving my stuff out of this storage facility. Here are my main complaints: - They raised the storage fee by 20% TWICE in my first 90 days. - The gates are constantly not working. They didn't work for the first few months I stored there (which didn't keep them from raising the fees...). - The staff doesn't always keep their office hours. They are supposed to be there until 5pm, and I went once at 4:30 and they were already gone. read more

They have homeless people living in the storage units. This is gated and climate controlled. No idea where they go to the bathroom. I was told by the local person that the District Manager knows and does not care. I called California Home Office and was told that cannot be so. They gave me the Dist Managers name, Michael, and phone number two weeks ago (Dec 29, 2018). I called and left a voice mail. He NEVER called back. This is becoming the worst property in this neighborhood. read more

The staff is great. Very helpful, especially the property manager Tara. She always has a positive attitude and has great customer service. The property is always clean and the hallways are spacious for moving in large items. There are plenty of flat bed carts throughout the facility. They have a coded front gate for added security.
