Avoid at all costs! Terrible customer service at the facility. Almost impossible to reach corporate customer service. Strike 1 - Reserved a 5x8 drive-up unit online for an upcoming move. The day before the move, I was contacted that they rented out my unit. I could reserve another unit but at a higher cost. I don't think Public Storage understands what a reservation is. So, now I booked the same size unit at a higher cost because of their process. Strike 2 - Showed up the next day to take possession of the unit. The door latch was bent and would not open/close. Drove back to the front. They switched me to another unit that was "the same." Strike 3 - After arriving at the newest unit, I discovered a lock on the door. Clearly it wasn't actually available. I went back to the front. They stated that they had no other units of that size and tried to upsell me to a larger unit at 3x the cost. This is not an acceptable option when they are the ones that made all of the mistakes. Upon declining, they refunded me ONLY the cost of the padlock ($21.77). They would not refund me the rent I had already paid or the admin fee. Absolute scam! read more

Public Storage charges a full month rent even if you moved out on the first of the month. Their policy is designed to accommodate only them. Storage needs of the customers vary depending on their moving schedules and desire storage facilities to be there when they can get movers,trucks,and helpers. This policy creates extra hardships to their customers. We will not use Public Storage in the future. read more

My daughter and I got separate units and somehow they put my name o. the smaller uni, which was the storage my daughter needed. So we have had to add each other to our unit information. Which never works correctly when we call in. It is October 28th and our units have now been paid for weeks. Came by earlier this month and found that I didn't have been locked out even with our bills being payed. call them so they could correct it, spoke with management and everything. Only to come in here and finethat we still are locked out of our unit with the bill being paid. Public Storage has no customer service the jail cell kiosk says that they can't hear me because they made a room that echoes, and has nothing in it. They said they're gonna put the same request in with that they put in weeks ago they say they are at corporate can't do anything they say the Karla property manager the property manager says to go look on the back of the lot then call and verify to take off the lock that wasn't supposed to be there in the first place. They are trying to go to automation and they're trying to make the customers do their job that they're being paid for. I would never recommend anybody else go through this with Public Storage. How do you lock up person out this already pay the bill and then say that you should've looked on the back of the lot and find instructions to call in and take the lock off and then turn the lock in or are you gonna be fined for like that was never supposed to be on there in the first place. And when I said have the person who put the lock on come take it off, the they wouldn't. read more

Reserved a space online and came into the office and arrived to a closed office at 1:52p.m. It could be one person on lunch but how is business still being conducted while someone is eating? I called the phone number listed online and it gave me the option to speak to the Manager then when I selected the option it ask me for my account number. Well it's clear I don't have an account and clear a manager can't be reached. I'll see how long it takes really to be helped. Hopefully this is not how business is conducted and it was a 1 man team really eating lunch. Never had this issue in Cali but I won't be "spoiled" with standards. There's a notice on the door but businesses should be fully staffed that are open to the public and if they need help where's the help . So I'll come back later. read more

Hey PublicStorage , it would really be amazing to be able to access my things! Your Location on NorthSide Drive in Atlanta Georgia has been holding our things hostage for a month now! I arrived to put my Christmas things away today and was not allowed to access my unit. Another customer has locked access to all units on our hall. And we are not allowed to go into it. That customer is the only person who has access to all of the units on that hall! I tried reaching out to the area supervisor Patrice. To no avail. This all stems back to a breaking on the property that happened approximately six weeks ago. We're over 70 units were broken into. No notifications were made by public storage to any of their tenants to let them know what it happened. You're gross lack of empathy and care for your customers in the situation is disgusting and needs to be addressed immediately!! read more

Easy to reserve, but limited access after hours. despite there being a security gate and cameras at the property, the vast majority of the units can only be accessed before 6pm -- which is weird given that I received a gate code. the code stops working at 6pm! very inconvenient. read more

The property manager does not alway show up for work. Meaning you can't actually rent a unit unless they decide to do their job that day... I'm a bit incredulous really. How on earth is that possible. Poorly run company. I'm only in there for a few more months, but if I could do it again, I'd use extra space for sure. My advice is stay away. read more

For three days, I dropped by the office and nobody would help me. There was someone there but she was so rude and refused to help us because it was her day off. While understandable, she yelled at us and didn't let us talk at all. There were 5 other people who also needed help. Try to avoid or be some of the lucky few who get good service. I think there might be something to Vivian L.'s feedback regarding the rats because the hallway where my unit is located smells like something died. The unit next to mine has a blue tag and a lock that leads me to believe it's abandoned, so if there aren't dead rats it's possible something crawled in there and died. My storage search started online by price and then I narrowed down the list by location. This place met both preferences and even though it's not climate controlled (every other time I've put my stuff in storage it's been climate controlled), I decided to reserve a unit. The manager called me the next day to confirm my move-in date later that week and attempted to make an appointment. I ended up coming a day earlier and she was ready for me. The move-in process was pretty easy and she gave me a tour of the property so I could see the unit. During our walk she also went over access times, gate codes, and other relevant information. I feel like I made a good choice, but only time will tell. There are few things that could be considered red flags. The first is the pile of trash next to the dumpster. On my first visit I assumed they had an eviction that day and it would be put in the dumpster and/or hauled away. That was 3 days ago and it's still there. Also, the closer on the door to my hallway is broken and I don't remember it being like that when we toured. read more

I went to unit today, April 13, 2023 around 1:00pm ​to get a dress i made for a client to be worn tomorrow night for prom. ​and the entire center of the lock popped off. I told the attendant African lady blond hair, long nails, shanaynay look alike on duty. She was very very rude to me . She said," it's my responsibility, if I need to get inside I would need a locksmith @ my expenses. Am trying to explain to her it's not my fault, she yelled at me and said she was going to call the police on me if I didn't leave the property, BECAUSE SHE WAS FEELING THREATENED. I called corporate office to let them know how bad I'm being treated, like a criminal. I am a Dressmaker with a blooming business and have no time for this. It's been over 2 1/2 hours and I'm still not in . This is upsetting me. I hate I got Public Storage. Mostly because of the people they hire to represent them. My treatment is just awful read more

I have had my things in Public Storage on Northside Dr for 5 months. The day that I moved in the light in my storage was out and the manager told me they would fix the light that day. 5 months later and the light in my unit is still out. I went to my unit last month and my key didn't work. The security guard who I never seen there before saw me struggling with my key and he advised me they changed my locks but did not tell me. I was furious! What kind of business changes their customers locks but doesn't even send an email/text/ phone call or provide any notification that the locks have been changed? I go to the office during office hours but no one was working. After calling the corporate office and leaving a message a lady calls me back the next day and tells me they changed my locks and were suppose to notify me but didnt. That is unacceptable and terrible business. I needed my box of shoes out of my storage for an event but ended up having to go purchase new shoes because I could get in my storage. The next week I went to my storage to get my new key and found my unit door broke, I could tell someone tried to break in. In addition, rats ate through the bottom part of my door and left rat droppings all over my items. Rats completely destroyed my white chair and peed all over my box of towels. I was charged for an extra month of rent because they "forgot" to mark that I had vacated my unit in the system, and only did so 3 weeks later when I called to ask why I had been charged again. I had a reservation to move my things into a storage unit on 6/6. I was unable to pay online and was asked to come in to pay and to be sure to make it before 4:30. My movers came at 2 PM and I was very aware of time and when I was suppose to be there in order to pay for my reservation and receive the keys to the storage unit I reserved. I showed up at 4:09 PM. When I arrived nobody was in the office and I proceeded to call the office. I got no answer. Then I remembered I got a call from the manager (her name was Princess) after my reservation but didn't answer because I was packaging things when she called. I called this number back when nobody was there and nobody in the office was answering. She answered and I told her exactly where I was. She said I must be on the wrong side because she stepped outside to see if I was there. She then told me to make a right on the street and to make another right and that she was on the other side. There was no other side. She wasn't at the same location as me and she knew that, even though I told her I was at the Northside Dr. location. At this point I've got to hurry up and get back before the movers head there with my things. I get back and tell the movers what's going on and for them, they're ready to hurry up and finish the job and go home. So now I'm stalling trying to think quickly about what it is I need to do. I called the manager again and got no answer. So I left a message and told the movers that we might have to take it to Stone Mountain at my parents house because I can't think of any other place I can put this stuff. Of course they know they're not getting paid for this and aren't trying to do it. I call the manager again and get out on hold for about 7 minutes before I hung up and called again. She then proceeds to answer and puts me on hold immediately and this time instead of sending me to the waiting music she keeps the phone on while talking with someone at the storage place. I then wait once again for 7-10 minutes before she talks to me. By this time, it's 5:01 PM. I repeat once again what happened and she says she was at another location and I said I've got to get these things moved. I plead with her to make this situation right because I did everything I was told to do and it isn't my fault the staff on northside dr left almost an hour before closing and 20 minutes before the payment reservation time. Since she didn't catch the hint to do the right thing, I then asked her to allow me to bring the movers over to her location to move this stuff in. She then declines and says that she couldn't do it. I then ask her, so what should I do? She said to come back at 9:30 tomorrow when they open. Once again, she knows the situation and knows I can't do that. I then thanked her and hung up. This was the most ridiculous customer service experience I've ever had and I will NEVER and I mean EVER, use this company for storage in my life because of this experience. This caused very big problems and issues for me. I ended up having to pay the movers $500 each in order to convince them to bring my items to my parents house in Stone Mountain because I had no other option. I think it's unprofessional of the manager to have knowingly lie and say she's at a certain location knowing she isn't and then even from there not ask me to simply come to her location in order for me to get my things secured. I also blame whoever is suppose to be working at the Northside Dr location for leaving early. All in all this is something I've thought about all day. I hope you all take action on these mishaps and flat out absurd occurrences. Hopefully nobody has to go through what I went through today. Would give zero stars if possible. This public storage location is absolutely terrible. Recently, over 35 units were robbed, including mine. During this time, Public Storage has disabled the cameras. The staff, particularly Karen in the office and Sean Marker, the district manager, were extremely rude and unhelpful and told me "Your unit has been robbed, you should get over here and deal with it." They tampered with evidence and tried to cover up damages before the police arrived (I witnessed this myself). The day after the robbery, they disabled the gate and left the office unattended, while the video cameras were still disabled. Literally anyone could drive in to the facility. I also have picture evidence of this. They showed zero remorse for their negligence of duty and refuse to even return my phone calls. They are rude and provide zero customer service. Not to mention the facility is damp and poorly maintained. You are better off going anywhere else. Beware. read more

My unit, along with others, was broken into just a month after moving into the unit. I lost expensive items. The security at this facility is horrible and Public Storage doesn't seem to care. The criminals merely climbed a fence and redirected a camera away from the facility. Then they cut the fence open and stole whatever they wanted. Jasmine was so great in helping me with this unit. I felt safe and my items secure in this location. I haven't had any issues with the weather or security. I needed a short term space for items while moving which turned into a longer than expected storage. I have absolutely loved having the ability to go in and out freely knowing my items were secure. It is a little challenging entering the location going south on Northside Drive. Other than that, I am fully satisfied with this location. Have to say that the young lady who helped me on 10/27/15 was WONDERFUL!!! Quinshana's level of customer services was on point. At the last minute I needed a storage unit and would pass by here on a daily basis. She made the whole process painless as possible and even found a better deal for me on a larger unit after we though that a small unit would work for me. If she had not told me that she wasn't schedule to work this day and that this wasn't her regular location...I wouldn't have known any better and have to say there's was a reason she was there that day...thank you :-) Also, I have to add even after I finished my process...I went in to use the restroom and at the time she was dealing with another customer, whom I might was not very nice to her after she told him what his rate was (especially since she had the printout that he brought with him from him scheduling his unit online). However she still gave him the same level of customer service I had received early on in the day. She was very professional and had a smile on her face during her interaction with him. I've never posted any reviews online ever but since I think this will help mankind, I am happy to jump in. Let me save you some time/money/effort and DO NOT MOVE YOUR STUFF HERE. I was a loyal customer for 5+ years and this facility is beridden with rats and subsequently, their urine and feces. And that means all of that ruins all of your belongings. The insurance you buy is worthless too - the vermin writer max compensation is $250 - so if you have anything of value at all in your unit, you'll likely still be out thousands. I did complain to corporate and they called me back to say that they would "check" into the property but it's clear that the problem has been going on for months. I even found someone else's pills and debris in my unit that clearly the rats brought in with them. Seriously. STAY AWAY. I am really a reasonable person but I am out more than $12k in furniture and personal belongings. Would give 0 stars if I could. read more
